HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Copper Bullion From Scrap - Total Transformation - ASMR Metal Melting - Trash To Treasure- BigStackD - บันเทิง
Welcome back again all you awesome subscribers I hope you have had an absolute marvellous week. Today a great transformation from something so ugly to something so nice. Not the biggest haul but certainly a fun few bars to do , I hope you enjoy it either way. Sit back relax enjoy the video and most importantly as I always say, have a happy safe weekend and hope to see you all next Friday 👋🏻😁
Amazing pour and as usual BigstackD is the BOSS.
Copper was looking great as always, brass is ok but nothing beats a shiny copper bar....except maybe Gold. Have a great weekend!
Hola que tal saludos desde buenos Aires argentina, quisiera tener un fundidora como ese
Hey D!! Great video as always. If you do get a shredder, get one with 2 motors. Trust me. PS, the whistling in the background is distracting 😂 I keep thinking someone is around me🤣.. cheers buddy. Hope you and the family have a great weekend as well. See you next week 🤝🍻👍
I’d like to see some more coins and molded castings, but I do think I enjoy the teardowns of the equipment about as much as the melts and pours. Pretty sure I ain’t the only one who digs the longer format you’ve lately adopted. All good stuff, D. Give the pups pets and skritches, as always!
The deconstruction is my favorite part of any Bigstackd video
Para mí debe ser un viejo lesbi@no 😂
ofc yes! I learn about the structure of the device... then there is a hammer blow, but at least I see something. :)
For me it I'd the slag extract and metal pour.
Such precise and delacate plastic removal. Truly your skills are unmatched.
That little tiny knife is hilarious…I want one 😂
The markings of the metal on the bars are beautiful
Little Ingot had some major spring in his step. Nice melt 👍🏻
You got that right buddy , it’s very rare Ingot is in turbo mode this early in the morning, it usually takes him till lunchtime to get his zoomies on , and then that’s only for three minutes and he’s back to sleep for a few hours.
Thanks again for super thanks buddy you’re an absolute champion. Have a great weekend buddy and I’ll speak with you soon👊🏻😁.
That petrobond sequence was a PERFECT recreation of the speed of my thoughts when I am trying and failing to sleep while utterly exhausted.
4 things to say today, 1 I like the brass bar best, 2 the scrap storage area looks great, 3 so still not got that vice connected to the bench and 4 I hate flathead screws aswell they are hateful things. Excellent video again this week, thank you. 👍👍👍👍👍
Flat head screws are only useful as a kid when you have no tools and can open or close them up with a butterknife, "these knives can't even cut bread anymore!"...
For a scoop for slag I use a large metal stir spoon you can probably find them at local supermarkets, awesome bars today! 🍻👍
I have watched every single one of your videos. They air at about half past nine in the UK so after I have gone shopping and done my errands I sit down with my two black Labradors and we watch from beginning to end. Thanks for putting out such consistent content. Cheers 🍻
Just when I thought I knew all the tools I needed in my life, you show me another one!!
Opening the tank made me chuckle!🧸 Tough question as I love brassy goodness but I'm a copper girl so I'll have to say the copper bars but the finishes were stunning on them all!! The drawing on the side of your fridge was very cute too🐾 Also loving the scrap storage👌, could do with some of that space 😂
Hi friend, I don’t comment often but I saw you comment a week ago about everything you’ve gone through. I hope you’re doing ok all things considered. Much love from some stranger on the internet.
@@Youspoonybard1 it's really lovely of you to send that, thank you, whoever you are and wherever you may be💜
Here in Cali, I look forward to these videos every Friday morning. I'm not sure why I'm so addicted. I don't work in metal, never thought about it, just ran across your videos one day (almost a year now) and I was hooked. My wife thinks I'm crazy, I say it's a calming way to start my weekend. Great video, but I'm wondering if all the 10mm got away, haven't seen them in awhile. Oh, I like the brass, it's always one of my favorite melts along with the Nordic Gold.
This is the first time I have watched since you blew past the 1000-kgs goal.
I thought at 1000 kgs you might cash your bars, show us how rich you are from cashing in, and how you are moving on to bigger and better things while making a life-sized statue of Ernie Dingo, but nae, you just made my blue balls bluer.
Great video as always. I prefer the copper bar because of working with it before. Expecting a large snow storm today in Missouri . A great weekend awaits us, let's go !
I'm your neighbor in Indiana and waiting for the festivities to begin ❄️
Send some of the snow to Maryland, will ya? Last weekend we got gypped. I think I saw a total of 5 snowflakes mixed in with the rain.
Nice little melt today Big D! The copper and brass bars both look good in their own way.
Have yourself an awesome weekend brother.
🍺
Cheers buddy, thanks again my friend. Have a great break and catch you when you get back 👊🏻😁
Truly, the Metals Maven, of our time! Keep stacking!
I think I enjoy watching you disassemble the item more than watching you melt the metals. Either way, your videos never disappoint.👍🎦👍
A day late and a dollar short is what I would have said if I was here two days ago. Here I am three days later than usual. Keep up the great content and be blessed and be encouraged !
Не перестаю следить за каналом не менее двух лет ! Работа с горячим металом завораживает. 🫶
Я смотрю уже лет 5. Вроде одно и то же, но все равно залипательно..
brass melts are becoming my favorite
Everything adds up even that little brass. Overtime in a glass jar it will become one day a melt saving those little pieces. Always a good habit to have. Never leave anything behind. 🍻
BigstackD, is it nearly as relaxing to do this, as it is to watch this?😸
Don't fill it too quickly 😂😁😂😁 you mean it not already? Keep up the great shiney content!! And the happy puppers!!!
Good 1:37am, good to see ya D, love watching these copper melts. Enjoy your weekend.
I’d have watched a fence build vid 👍🏻
Really digging those periodic table bars.
The heating elements are normally made from inconel or incoloy, very high heat resistant material.
Great videos 👍
Thanks for the info!
A great traditional part of my Friday evening here in New Zealand to watch your awesome videos.
I have watched you for many years and I absolutely love it all, Thankyou
From a subscriber across the pond
you went oldschool today with the ice crushing and residue collection, love it! BTW very gentle removing of the plastic 😁 Always love to see you work 🤘👍
I like the copper no slag and an essential element for life and industry. Nice fence too.
Thanks Mr Heighway! Yay Friday! it’s currently -35C in Calgary….i need some Western Australia!
Damn that tiny knife made me chuckle!
love copper!, my favorite semiprecious metal
Copper bars look really 👍🏼 cool 😎
i love this show i always watch till the end ❤❤😍😍👌👌
Nice polish on the ingots, great work on the fence and good to see nice healthy snacks for monkeys!
Gotta love that new furnace smell 😍
Nice "pettite" melt! Loved the patina on the tank... but sadly, all good things must come to an end.
Awesome video nice copper and brass bar's and zinc coins thanks for sharing bigstackd
Always a pleasure to see what you're cooking up next.
I enjoy the tear down damn near as much as the melt . Thanks for great entertainment .
A cool thought. All of those bars of metal you're forming, every last one of them, are made of material forged in the cores of stars. In essence, you have a room with more than 1,000kgs of condensed stellar fusion byproduct.
I love the orange colour of the hot metal when you pour it. Very cool!
I’ve always loved them little bars for some reason. Just the way they shine when they are mirrored really fascinates me
I definitely prefer the copper over the brass. Also that coin really did turn out nice.
That coin was a great cast. Got to be pleased with that. 👍
That scrap storage will be nice to have. Keep the big stuff ready to go for future videos.
Putting the beer bottle top on sack boy was perfect
Copper be my favourite. More so before you brush it… love the red tint.
I liked brass, though I wear copper stuff. Since learning about Nordic Gold on this channel, it is my new favorite. 👍
That's a cool new toy stackd always enjoys a good copper meltdown in the morning keep the vids coming and have an amazing weekend 😊
Love watching the videos. It is 2 am in Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦 when you release them.
Go Canada! BC here!
Alberta here.
@@travismorton9857 Surviving the cold? -51 in my town today.
As I sit here and watch this, its 101° warmer there.
Beautiful pours!
Sackboy and a cold beer?? Inside the tank???? Heh heh heh heh!!!! Nice!
I know right !! Who would’ve thought ?
Both bars are great, but I prefer the copper, great work mate 👍
Love my Friday morning video , Great watch as always. I love that little knife , that little guy is awesome.
Storage area is going to be nice, good job
nice copper and brass pours the zinc coin came out nice.
Man, I wish I could do this. It's a matter of where and how when I'm stuck living in condos. Thanks for the content!
Thank you for once again sharing an incredible video with us we enjoyed this emensly and look forward to every Friday six stars brother
The American Coin is wonderfull! And The Brass is perfect!
Thanks for another AWESOME video!
You always have very interesting thumbnais for your videos. Sometimes, I get confused and think there are thumbnails for something else.
Congratulations on your new metal cutting drill attachment
What is a water heater element made of?
Water Heater Elements 101
An element is the part of the water heater that physically heats the water. They typically have a black, blue, or silver threaded head and are composed of stainless steel, copper, or incoloy, these are high temperature and have a mush higher melting point, much higher then your forges are capable of.
Love seeing even the dust collected and saved!
Have you ever picked up your packages dressed-up in the face paint? Or had a delivery when your painted like that? It looks awesome. It's always a pleasure to see that face paint.
Its really cold where i live - wind chill added its -46C here with a high of -20C in the afternoon + 60CM of snow. I bet the heat is not so bad now
By far the best content I’ve ever seen. Your my favorite and I can’t wait till next Friday! Cheers and have a good weekend
A new furnace, an ice melt, copper freezing. What a year so far!
Beautiful video this week. Copper bars polished is my preference, Thanks for a brief mind vacation. See you next week.
I lost it when you opened the tank!! Hahaha thank you!! 🤣💯
Shiny...Shiny...Shiny...love it. Ty for great video Agen!
I like copper the best, but brass is nice too!
I usually catch your videos straight away but not this time.. Great video as always - and i have to say i just love that tiny little knife.
This is just the video to watch while taking delivery of 6-8” of snow. Shout-out to Sackboy for providing some liquid refreshment.
#LittleBigWorld
#Corona
The brass bars look great, but I like the look of copper better. Great video! 😁
Glad you uploaded, it's too cold to go outside here. Our high temperature was -5.5°C.😂
I used to design cartridge heaters - thats most likely 304 stainless or incoloy depending on how cheap they went. The white powder is MgO. It is generally swaged with the heating element in tbe middle, and then bent to shape. They sometimes come with brass pipe fittings on the end so look out :)
Good morning from the US!
Real content at its finest. *chefs kiss*
The key to storing scrap is organization, bulky stuff takes up a lot of space
Both bars are awesome, but I love the look of the copper.
I thought the coin turned out pretty cool. Love the copper, but the brass turned out nice too.
The "waste" slag from your melts are abrasive oxides and if you had the means, you could pulverize them into sandy particles & make abrasive sandpaper with it & even at different grits. Just an idea.
Love the brass bars. Thank you from Lexington Kentucky!✌️😎
Awesome video again and enjoy the warm weather, we here in Texas have a Blue Northern coming this weekend with lows in the lower teens to upper single digits, maybe. 😊🌬
Some day I hope to get a melting crucible and make my own bars. Always enjoy these videos.
10:46 that golden ring is so beautiful
You should make a vibrating plate for those coin moulds.
Nice copper and brass bars mate 💪🏻.
The heat is tremendous there, here in Argentina we are exactly the same and on top of that we have been hard storms in a large part of the country that has caused flooding and destruction, luckily there was none of that where I live.
I have so much material to melt but I am still looking for a foundry and the necessary elements.
Big hug from Argentina 🇦🇷👋🏻💪🏻
love the periodic inscriptions and the side view of the ice melting. I thought you would drop off the steel, instead of making a shed to house it......please drop off...please :)
Don’t stress buddy, the steel I won’t be housing for long. I will probably wait another month and then get rid of it depending on how much I have there. I don’t plan on housing the steel for very long at all. I just want to save up about 500 kg and drop it off at the scrap yard, which I will film. The scrap storage area is more for all the pieces that I’m going to take apart at a later date and not steel on its own👊🏻😁
Happy weekend BigstackD let's clink our glasses from a distance from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇭🇲🍻🇦🇷
One thing I don’t remember seeing you make, is a bunch of red brass bars. I’d really like to see that. And a comparison of red brass bars with copper bars and yellow brass bars.
Me too.😊
Heating elements are typically stainless (or possibly Inconel but that's expensive) cladding around ceramic insulation and the actual heating conductor would be a Nickel-Chromium alloy
Great melt. Love your work
All right...its 94 degrees (F) there and 19 degrees (F) herein the USA midwest with a blizzard going on. Monday/Tuesday -34degree (F) wind chills. Rub it in!
That's one of your best ice quenches ever. I didn't know copper turned black when it was hot, after it cooled from glowing temperatures, until I watched this channel.
You are going to need a place for a scrap metal skip. This is a good way to store all the bits and pieces of steel until you are ready to recycle them.
Thanks for he video. You are awesome. Have a great weekend and stay cool.
Ooh nice shiny new forge ❤
