this is our everyday breakfast in north india but we use ghee instead of oil and seasonal vegetables instead of avocados. avocados and olive are good option for cold countries. if you put the oil while bread is on pan it will make it crunchy from outside and soft from inside. mutlilayers parathas with carrom seeds are also another option for those who cook and store for next few days.

Watching from Bangalore, India. Yet another variation of our humble roti / paratha. We can use just about any vegetable or meat or chicken to fill these rotis. Or make them plain and eat with a gravy of choice. We generally brush them with ghee (clarified butter) or butter. Both are diet friendly. Of course any vegetable / plant based oil of choice also are used.
I don’t know where you are from, but you have shown this very nicely. Anyone can follow this video and learn to make rotis easily. And you really have made them perfectly.
Speaking for myself, though rotis are a staple food item here, I haven’t tried with mashed avocado so far. Now you have given me an interesting addition and soon I will make this version.
    Thank you for the video.

Well, I made a batch on Friday night and my guests loved them. So easy to make. I did try something different the next day with the leftover dough. I brushed each side of two of the rolled out 'tortillas' with sesame seed oil very lightly then cooked them in the thickest cast iron skillet I have and they were DELICIOUS. Next time I will add a bit of diced onion to give them just a bit more moisture too or maybe the juice of a whole lime. But otherwise, they will be a regular feature on the table here!

I love how creamy avocado makes foods. This looks delcious! As I'm gluten free and on a low carb diet, I would switch out the flour for almond flour or even flaxseed meal for the binder/filler.

#ThankYou! 🙏🏾 This flatbread recipe is perfect to replace my "flour" tortilla recipe. I'm going to use chickpea flour since it's in my pantry & will let U know how my new flatbread "tortillas" turn out after I experiment a bit with the dough.. Thinking sun-dried tomatoes & cilantro😉 this recipe is going to be added to our core family recipe repertoire. Diabetes runs in the Family, so this recipe will really help us since one corn tortilla is good, but two can be iffy (depending on glucose numbers) so thanks again.

I had saved this video for quite some time now for the time when I would have too many avocados to use. That usually is not a problem for me lol but Today, was that perfect day for too many avocados to use up before go away on a 5 day hike. Your video was very clear and really nice on how you explain how to make these with every step for even a first time flatbread/tortilla maker to follow. I made these for lunch today and plan on taking the rest for the perfect bread to include in my backpack. Thanks so much for the tasty recipe.

Add 0ne or two green chillies coarsely ground or grated to the mixture before adding the flour. It will enhance the taste of flat bread. You can use finely chopped greens or finely grated carrot or finely chopped fenugreek or dill leaves. Add chilly powder instead of green chillies to have more varieties of yummy flat bread. Do not refrigerate the dough. Prepare flat bread immediately.

It was not a complete success but I'll try again soon. I had to use a lot more flour (regular wheat) as the dough was very sticky. And I hand patted them as I did not have a rolling pin (wherever did it go?). They took longer to cook through due to the thickness. But I now have delicious avocado crackers as I cut them in pieces, brushed with olive oil, and sprinkled salt. Not a total failure and they are tasty!! I live in Hawaii and it's humid, so that may have been a factor...

When they go on sale you can place peeled seeded avocado halves on a plate to freeze and then drop them into a resealable container for the freezer. Great for dips, your beautiful bread recipe, smoothies etc, anything that blends the avocado in.
