I’m starting to binge food videos while on the tenth day of a clear liquid diet after abdominal surgery. On June 17 i get to find if i can progress to a regular liquid diet. And this has been after several years of very limited eating due to severe GERD. All you people out there who can eat this delicious food, thank your lucky stars. I dream of recovering to the point where i can have onions again and eat this fabulous chickpea vegetable wrap.
I wish you all the best on your healing journey. I truly hope you get to savour delicious and nutritious food in the near future. I once had surgery and was on a liquid diet for weeks followed by a very restrictive diet after that and, although this lasted 6 weeks tops, I really get what you mean. All the best.

These were absolutely fantastic! I've been trying a couple different patty recipes of late, and this composition really came through. I probably ended up with a fair bit more chickpea mash; I made up my own from dried. The sweet potato-chickpea combo has been a wonderful discovery. I also really appreciated all the great suggestions on how to bring these into meals. I've got a couple of sauces we're looking forward to trying on the leftovers the next couple days. I'm also thinking of a way to incorporate a sufficient dip into the smoker with these guys while keeping the fantastic oven-bake method.
Awesome video as I am on a 🪴 base eating regimen at this point in my life. I have lost so much weight, I juice every day or at least I am consuming my fruits & vegetables by juicing. What I like about your recipe is that it's not an abundance of heat applied to the vegetables such as searing the 🌰, garlic, etc. Thanks, this will get made this evening.

@@FoodImpromptu Tasted delicious but patties turned out very dry and crumbly. I kneaded for quite a while but could see your s looked much moister. I added extra lemon juice and olive oil but to no avail. Hen cooked they crumbled. Still got ate..put it in pita bread with tzatziki sauce. Yummm
I haven’t tried making meatballs out of this, but I believe that it would end up soggy in the middle. Kebabs will work but don’t make them any thicker than 1/2”.

So glad you tried this recipe! 😊 You can store it in the refrigerator for 7 to 8 days in an airtight container. I usually line the bottom of the container with paper towel.
I just made this plant base BEAST of a dish, and it came out perfectly. I am going to make it with fennel (instead of sweet potato) just to switch up the ingredients. However, I did add 🍄 🍄 🍄 in my version. I als9 made me some plant base mayonnaise using cashews, half of a pitted date, Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Aminos, sirarcha, and 💧 I am enjoying 🪴 base meals.
The chickpeas are just the greatest idea for carrying whatever flavors you want. This version looks great for sandwiches. The monster wrap? lol How many takes did you need to get that one right? Thank you for the great ideas!
This looks yummy - I'm making it ASAP ^_^ . Question: since grating sweet potatoes is the biggest hurdle/most time consuming part, would it be okay to cook/bake them beforehand and then just mash them, or would that change the end result too much?
