  • The build begins! For the first time on this channel, I'm building a 1/24 scale pickup truck, and it's going to be given away! Using an awesome 1976 Chevy Stepside model kit from Revell, I began the build by assembling the 3D printed FP UC1 chassis, and modified the body to fit overtop. I also 3D printed some custom wheels that really pair well with this great looking truck. A lucky Ultimate Scale Truck Expo attendee will be taking home this truck this upcoming February 2022. Check out the official USTE site for more info about this truly one of a kind RC event.

Oh man I once owned a 83 C-10 and man I loved that truck. I sold it when my daughter was born. Started building rc's since its a little cheaper than full size builds 😂 love the content. 👍

The Pro Line 66 Chevy fleet side body would make a sick complete truck. I’m getting my body ready to go on a crawler RC as I type this. Looks like it’s going to be a killer build.

HOPE YOU READ THIS YOUR PRODUCTS AND CHSNNEL GOT ME BACK INTO THE HOBBY OF Model CAR BUILDING AND GOT ME OUT OF MY 4 YEAR DEPRESSION I WAS IN AS WELL AS OPIATE ADDICTION I DIDNT KNOW I HAD DUE TO TAKING MEDS LIKE HOW DRS TOLD ME TO AND I TRUSTED THEM SO THANK YOY. Dude idk how to thank you but you literally got me building plastic scale models again and combined both my hobbies rc car racing and model car building. I race tenth scale oval and road course carpet rc cars on CRC black carpet indoors at my local club track that has been open every day for practice and race every Thursday and Saturday for last 15 years. Our fastest oval class we are running 77.5 mph is top speed record and road course is 81.8 mph top speed altime record from the outlaw run what you brung 1/10 scale oval and road course cars now the track owner just put mini z racing as a class as well for Sunday afternoons mini z only we use the full size tenth scale track oval and road course depends what week it is depends if it's inroad or oval we switch back and forth each week. We have 5 different miniz classes and he has now added a class called ultra scale 1/24 scale meaning you must use 85 percent of parts from any model car kit in 1/24-1/25 scale and he actually came up with his own 3d printed chassis it's like a cross between a pan car and a mini z chassis and man that scale model rc class is amazing we have 30 cars that start each race and looks super realistic and running 20 actual mph top speed on road course and 35 mph on oval and that translates into 97.98 scale speed on road course and 127 scale mph on oval and doing 30 mph with a 1/24 scale rc car built from plates model kits is really hard to get it to go that fast and lost of work to make sure the body and all the scale parts stay on the car when you crash at those speeds I use 20 minute 2 part epoxy like you use on balsa wood rc planes for the balsa wood motor mounts area and areas of very high stress and I have hit a wall at wide open throttle on the oval and it survived the crash just cracked the body and that's it all the model car parts stayed on which is what we need to there is not tiny pieces of plastic in the carpet for our bigger cars to run over and suck up into our expensive 100 dollar plus brushless motors on our tenth scale cars and also so the plastic parts don't get inbeded into the carpet and cause a tear from cars running it over thousands of times to where it wears through the CRC black carpet. But for my mini. Track in myan cave I have used your parts and chassis only to build 1/24+1/25 rc cars from model kits to keep your channel going and so you can eventually keep improving on design so one day you will have a full line of amazing 1/24 scale rc car chassis and parts that will make these things haul the mail and handle like a real hobby grade carpet 1/10 scale rc race car for oval and road course and be able to have this as a class at the snowbirds. I built 15 already using your parts off website and me and my buddies race each other on Friday nights with them it's so much fun super scale and realistic not so fast that it's our of control but fast enough to where it's not boring and we have had some amazing side by side close racing. Top speed on mini z track all time record is a whole 11.5 mph which is flying in 1/24 scale around a mini z track and I have a 80 foot straight away on front and back and inoddle for high speed racing and made banked corners and off camber corners I also built a true 1/24 scale Daytona super speedway oval with the infield road course/roval that is all usable to race 1/24-1/25 scale model kits like nascar kits and road racing kits it's a blast top speed on that track is currently 15.7 mph I got a faster brushless motor on the way for my new modern cup car 2022 kit from salvinos Jr model company that specializes in 1/24-1/25 scale nascar and oval track and cars mostly and they also make a few drag kits but mostly round track asphalt vintage and current nascar kits as well as weekend Saturday night warrior type classes of cars like street stocks vintage modifieds sprint cars latemodels and dirt cars ECT.

I love your product you created for us to buy the files to 3d print our own or go ahead and buy everything already made some for have to print it or don't have a 3d printer. please go ahead and already start designing a really nice hobby grade and good handling 1/24-1/25 scale chassis kits like the 1/24-1/25 scale oval and road course slot cars that was scratch built out of brass tubing and a jig and mount a plastic model car kit on it as the body and other parts to get it as scale as possible for racing especially in drag racing where you don't crash often with slot cars guys build some amazing true to scale slot 1/24-1/25 drag cars that look like if you was that small you could jump in and drive it lol so please start working on a chassis like a brass one that is modified and based off of a original brass tube slot car chassis for these cars and you will have your own line of scale rc racing cars that can be raced at very high levels of competition like a 1/10 scale pan car if you scale down a tenth scale pan car to fit a model car body you will make millions of that

Need to go to the next level after this - 4x4/off-road. Figuring out a 1/24 4-link on a scale truck is a nightmare, lol. I gave up years ago. But, maybe it is time to revisit now that it can be easier in CAD.
Great video and choice of vehicle.

I have a challenge for you. Buy a 1/18 scale metal diecast 1964 ford falcon and make it look as close to original but make it an rc car. I can not find any videos of anyone taking a dicast and making it rc and the dicast I bought on amazon is very detailed and has plenty of room to add stuff to make it an rc car.
