As a cartoonists and animator, I just love seeing these crazy proportioned cartoon vehicles come to life. These are really great. Whenever I draw something like this, I never imagine it being fabricated into the real world. These are great.

The magnets holding the interior panels on was pure GENIUS. This guy is Awesome.
I thought that was pretty awesome too. I bought and remodeled a school bus and I use magnets to attach a lot of panels, but nothing that complicated or detailed. Props to him

Yup you can buy the small "rare earth" magnets they are extremely strong. About the size of a M@M for example or larger. We use them in high speed rc planes all the time. You can get them online.

The whole concept of custom cars has been taken to another dimension. I saw these years ago on another channel and still now I'm blown away with the shapes and beautiful deep colours. Such an amazing design carried from the pencil to the tarmac with absolute style. Love it.😍
I'm impressed especially by the VW bus. By trade I am a auto body repair technician and can't help but have the utmost respect for this mans skills and ingenuity.

Mary Legan yeah people who shorten cars make em look weird yet he makes them look perfect. Thats actually a technique used by hotwheels they widen the cars and make the wheels way bigger and it makes them look natural and proportioned to the eye
@@killstacy8088 not to my child eyes... if you ever had toy cars which had proportional wheels the hotwheels style looks like a whacky toy.
It doesn't have seat belts so when you crash you can get the full cartoon experience and fly out the window. I'd still drive it full speed :D
Yup, no driving on public roads. Or at least no driving legally. Guess it's fun to just look at in the driveway.
The vehicle is most likely titled as the original 23 window VW Bus it's built from, and 23 window buses were only built through 1963. There were no laws mandating seat belts in cars until 1968. So it's completely legal to drive it without belts if it wasn't equipped with them by the factory.

I am so in Awe of Ron's abilities, his vision, and his level of Craftsman is .......... I honestly don't have words for this.
They even got the appropriate surf rock music to go with it. Perfect.
I can almost guarantee you theres nothing else on the road like these cars. Just pure imagination being followed through.

Seriously, this guy should be designing a cartoon car line for one of the big automakers. Auto design has become so insanely copycat, with grill being the sole distinguishing feature for so many models.
@Sith 3P0 Yeah, sadly so true. And with branding supposedly so crucial to today's business world, wouldn't you think we'd see even starker differentiation between makes than we saw back in the '90s and earlier?

Agreed! The culture generally plays to the formuli, courting the biggest numbers means more and more of the same, when what people really need are these excentric examples, these maveric examples who are not ashamed to go against the flow. This so very 60's.

Rat rod building is nothing difficult. With rat rods, it's fine if your custom looks hideous and the paint looks like crap, because of the ugly rust. You cannot compare the 2.
