I've made about 30 model cars and I've always thrown my own little customization on them, but I never knew how to make fenders. Thanks for the tutorial! I plan to start making more models this year and I'll use this video when I do!
YOU ARE THE MAN!!! I saw a promo for the then brand new Alfa 150 series custom Sport Wagon on DW in late 1999 and always wanted to build one for a bassist's "Axe" hauler. Now thanks to you I know how. Thank you for uploading and sharing.
Right? I think i found a new hobby! Goong to start a trial car this weekend and then depending on how that turns out, I eventually want to customize an Aston Martin Vulcan
These videos are awesome. Keep up the good work. Youve inspired me to start modeling cars too. The tutorials help me understand how to start customising model cars, Thanks alot:D
Fantastic work! Do you extend the wheels and tires out to help fill the new fender wells you created? If so do you have a video showing how you accomplished that?
Thanks for the video I want to start getting into making car models and I want to attempt making all 15 of the Blacklist cars from Need for speed most wanted
Very cool! I have a channel about model cars, and I have started costumizing them. And I had big problems with the bodywork. This helped me a lot! What is the material you were using and where can I find it?
Hey man, do you mean the tamiya putty? Tamiya products can quite easy to get at any hobby store or online hobby store..even on Amazon or any big online stores have them😁
Does the putty stick well to the body? Is the putty strong enough to withstand chipping from fall at height? I can see that you can trim off some surface of the putty using knife, does that mean it’s still not 100% strong?
Hi, for me it stick to the body well enough (make sure to sand the body with rough sandpaper) and the putty is hard enough yet still workable with..u dont want a putty that is hsrd as rock right?😂 you cant make the shape you want if its too hard
Does do putty turn hard enough when the all of the processes are complete? (Finished the build/Have the final product) I don't know much about all of this and I've never made anything like this and it would be a great and fun project!
Hi, for me fujimi and hasegawa are pretty similar, quality are so so..sometimes the fittings is terrible😅 but they produce alot models. For the glue it depends..for maximum strength and sandable once its cured, i always use those super glue, those liquid fast drying type.
I’ve just purchased a 1:18 scale transit mk1 van and I want to put wider arches on to it. Do I use the same method but I don’t want to widen the actual van
Hi jst recentley came across your channel is great ive watched them all, would love if you done a tutorial on fitting decals. Ive picked up so many handy tips from watching you that is so much handier than what i was doing. Im more into 1:32 tractors and lorries but similar work involed in doing them

Fantastic work! Do you extend the wheels and tires out to help fill the new fender wells you created? If so do you have a video showing how you accomplished that?
Yes i add alot of plates to get the right offset.
@@JHHobby thank you 😊

Amazing video!
bro u are amazing :O
Thank you!👍😁😁
Could you put a list of what materials do we need?
It would be so helpful!!
New follower. Your work is art!!
A can
Could you do a tutorial on cutting the abs plastic and forming it to fit the model please
Owhh hi, its very simple to cut actually, just use scissors or hobby knife
@@JHHobby thank you so much for responding I'll try it out
@@JHHobby would u recommend using the tamiya epoxy putty or the tamiya white paste putty
Very cool! I have a channel about model cars, and I have started costumizing them. And I had big problems with the bodywork. This helped me a lot! What is the material you were using and where can I find it?
Hey man, do you mean the tamiya putty? Tamiya products can quite easy to get at any hobby store or online hobby store..even on Amazon or any big online stores have them😁
@@JHHobby thank you very much. you helped a lot! By the way, does this work on metal? I am just new to this model costums
Great how too

Hello there! Just asking if you can glue the aliminum can on the fenders using tamiya thin cement?
Hi, thin cement will not work i think..its too thin and nt strong enough
Do you have to sand the whole body before primer. Also how durable are the fenders.
Yes its best to sand everything before any paint..the putty is pretty strong if apply on sanded parts
Did you need more then one pack of putty? Amazing build
I used almost a pack😂
nice work
Does do putty turn hard enough when the all of the processes are complete? (Finished the build/Have the final product)
I don't know much about all of this and I've never made anything like this and it would be a great and fun project!
Yes, once the putty is fully cured its pretty hard but still workable 😁 like sanding and trimming the putty.
Great build! What putty do you use?
Tamiya epoxy putty😁
Amazing
Great tutorial, thanks for sharing. Can I use beer can?
Thanks! Yes of course😁
How do you rescribe the putty? Like the bumper seam by the headlight. Using backside of scalpel?
Fuiyoh
Fuiyohhh veron kong bossku🤣
What type of paint do you use for painting cars? Oil? Acrylics? Or something different?
Mostly acrylic😁
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
how do you make that curved part on the ABS plastic for the front fender ?, Im trying this thing on my tamiya NSX
Mine i just bent it😂
Excellent work! Who makes that S-15 model? 🚙
Do you think that this would work on a 1/10 scale rc Body and is it body filler putty you used ?
If it is hard shell, yes u can😁
@@JHHobby it’s made of some sort of plastic it’s not hard it bends
I have I question. So I've made only tamiya and aoshima models so are fujimi and hasegawa a good quality models and which glues use to them?
Hi, for me fujimi and hasegawa are pretty similar, quality are so so..sometimes the fittings is terrible😅 but they produce alot models.
For the glue it depends..for maximum strength and sandable once its cured, i always use those super glue, those liquid fast drying type.
Thanks for answer i think Imma try hasegawa models
@@saiko953 no problem! happy building! =)
Also I've glued some revell models so I'm kinda experienced in bad fittings
Have you made any other types of models like American car or truck builds?
Not yet but i will try to make them haha
Hey, very nice work. I've been building models for like 40 yrs. Is it still popular??
Thanks, yeah i think its still very popular😂
I’ve just purchased a 1:18 scale transit mk1 van and I want to put wider arches on to it. Do I use the same method but I don’t want to widen the actual van
Yes you can use the same method for any scale actually😁
Yeag, im 2 years late here, but.. what do you recommend making the base for the fenders?
Hi jst recentley came across your channel is great ive watched them all, would love if you done a tutorial on fitting decals. Ive picked up so many handy tips from watching you that is so much handier than what i was doing. Im more into 1:32 tractors and lorries but similar work involed in doing them
Thank you mate! Glad you find my videos informative !😄😄 any scale have almost the same way of building😄
Yooo nice vid, I was wondering if my rc wheel base is 270mm but the shell I want to use is 260mm can I get away with that or no?
Have to test it yourself to find out😂
Will this same method also work on diecast models?
Yes haha
Paduu
What paint did you use after the end? I mean the blue reflective paint. Whats the name of it?
What did u do to the wheels tho? U make it thicker or what
Most important ingredient... a lot of patience.
Hahaha yup 😅🤣
