Been making my fave Pumpkin Cream Cold brew at home due to the Falasteen boycott. It's been great. The Pistachio is my second fav and I saw that it's back at SB so glad to see I can make that at home also! Thank you!!
Made this, and even though my vanilla syrup was not as dark as this, it tasted AMAZING!!! My goal for 2024 was to learn how to make taste coffee and it took me this one time to get it right!
So amazing to read this comment!!! I’d say you stay tuned as I’m building wonderful content and resources to help you and everyone else make tasty coffee at home! 🫶❤️

Loved your video. Excited to make this. I’m all about this pivot away from billion dollar companies. Homemade is where you find billion dollar experiences and love with a special someone doing it and then enjoying it together.
Wow!!! This was delicious I've never made anything like this from scratch but I took the leap and literally it tastes EXACTLY like my Starbucks order! I'm gonna be saving so much money now thank you so much for sharing!! 💕
I made this a few times. The first time, I used regular strength coffee. My kids liked it, I thought it was on the weaker side. The second time I made the cold brew coffee using one cup of coffee grounds to cup of water. They liked it a lot better. I made the cream a third time for one serving of coffee I have left, but forgot to cut the recipe by half. I added a bit of extra vanilla syrup and heavy cream, which yielded about half cream and half coffee. That was my favorite one of all.
Thank you so much for sharing! I’m so glad to hear you’ve found the right balance for your taste. Now I’ll go and try it myself the way you made it! ☕️
I just made this today and let me tell you this is delish!! I just used the starbucks cold brew concentrate from the groceries ‘cause I wanted to try first before I buy myself a french press. Thanks for this recipe!
Making the simple syrup in a mason jar is SOO SMART!! I love to make regular simple but tend to buy vanilla bc it seems more complicated. But store bought simple syrup is chock full of chemicals and I hate buying them. THIS, with the vanilla extract!!!! * chefs kiss *
Hi there! You sure can! Just be mindful that in terms of volume, that'll be a shorter drink (unless you compensate with more sweet cream) - but if you have the chance to extract espresso, by all means, do so! ❤
Hi there, I hope you try and love the recipe, it's sooooo good! And yes, I do have a Canadian Amazon storefront ☕ You can access that and other discounts on cool coffee stuff on my website: lizhappybeans.com Thank you once again for your support, this is what keeps me going!
Hi, is there some other coffee you can recommend? I'm not a coffee drinker enough so I dont own coffee maker/french press. I like these a couple times per month but it'd be nice to have as a go to at home . Been drinking the cold brew in the fridge section at Target.
Coffee tasting is so very subjective! My recommendation would be to explore what's around you - go to the cute little coffee shop near your place or your work, ask questions to the baristas, see if you can buy their coffee to make at home! But if you still don't own a coffee maker, then possibly what you've been doing is your best shot! There are now also specialty coffee brands that have ventured with instant coffee, for example, Blue Bottle, Intelligentsia, Canyon, Verve, etc. You may take a look at those too and you won't need any equipment to brew!
Although I haven't tried this personally, it seems like a combination of half-and-half and butter makes the best heavy cream substitute! Let me know if you try it out!
Why do you add more vanilla extract to the cream when it’s already in the simple syrup? And then why do you add more of the simple syrup to the base of your coffee when it’s already in the cream? Just wondering if I could add more vanilla to the simple syrup so I have less to do in the morning!
This is a great question! It’s all about taste. Adding syrup to the cream helps with the texture and adding the extract enhances the vanilla flavor on the cream, but you don’t HAVE to add extra vanilla to the cream if you don’t want to! You could just add the syrup as a base, so it flavors the coffee, and use simple frothed milk to top it if you want to have the creaminess. That could help you make it quicker!
Can I just make the cream in bulk store in fridge and use that mixer? Wouldn’t the mixer help the texture? Just lazy and don’t feel like making the cream fresh every time lol
Hahaha well, I'm not sure that'll work! I gotta say I haven't tried, so also can't say that it won't. What I assume is that the cream will separate (fat, sugar, etc.) and make it hard to bring it back together!
Uuuh, it's because I'm using a very concentrated vanilla extract from the Dominican Republic. Actually haven't been able to find anything similar here in Canada. Does it taste good though? That's what matters in the end! ❤
My French press was $16, the frother was $12, and I bought a coffee grinder so I could use fresh ground as she recommended and that was the most expensive, only cause the one I decided to choose was $30.
as a former sb barista this is spot on!
Love it! 😂

My syrup also was very light in color for some reason. Can you drop the link to your vanilla extract maybe?

Thank you for this feedback! It really is the most affordable, straightforward way to make it happen and, honestly, works like a charm!
I will be trying this out! Thanks Liz!
Thanks for the video, where do you buy the vanilla liquid? It’s so thick in comparison to the one at the grocery store.
That one I bought in the Dominican Republic! It’s so tasty and thick!
Great video! Thanks for the tutorial!!!
Dope content, thanks for the vainilla syrup recipe.

Hi I loved your video
I'd like to ask if it's okay to use a shot of espresso instead of cold brewed coffee
Thank you!

@lizhappybeans thank you! I've tried with 4 shots actually and it was proper, I appreciate it 🙏
Haven’t been to Starbucks since October since my sister got me a Nespresso for my birthday ❤
Fantastic! Great savings ☕️🤩
You are amazing!!! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! ❤️😍
Vanilla Sirop, so simple to make it I am chocked!
I know, right? Hope you get to enjoy a delicious drink!
❤❤❤
Awesome as always!!!
Thanks ,so nice ,if anyone is doing KETO just switch out the sugar to Swerve ...it's low carb.
Great tip!
Love it! what's the size of your glass? is it 22oz or how many ml? Thank you.
Those are 16oz glasses! ☺️
@@lizhappybeans yey. Thankss
taste test should be done in identical cups.
Super valid feedback! I'll keep it in mind for any upcoming taste tests! 🙌
Great recipe idea, can’t wait to try it. Do you have a Canadian Amazon storefront? I’d love to support a 🇨🇦 creator!

Do you use heavy whipping cream as opposed to heavy cream because you use the milk frother for texture or any other reason?
Hi there! Heavy cream and heavy whipping cream are essentially the same thing! They’ll give you the same results and texture ☺️
would this work if I use vanilla essence instead of vanilla extract?
Maybe the taste will not be as strong, so you can try adding a bit more than what I used!
Mocha frappe with caramel next plsssss
Sounds like a good idea!
Hi. Is there anything else i could possibly use instead of whipping cream? I don't get it where I stay
Although I haven't tried this personally, it seems like a combination of half-and-half and butter makes the best heavy cream substitute! Let me know if you try it out!
Whaalt vanilla do u use? It's so much darker than mine!?
It says “pure vanilla extract” but I actually got it back in the Dominican Republic! I haven’t been able to find one so dark in Canada!

sorry for annoying but why u didn't shave ur arms before video ? 😙
Oh, I spend all my money on coffee so I can’t afford a razor 🤷🏻♀️
you can make it at home just buy 1000 worth of coffee appliances and assessories lol
😂 well, it’s only a $20 French press and a $10 frother. Do this once and you’ll have plenty to break even. 😉🫶
