Well done.... love your style and content!
I had no idea I needed to do this.... purchased the Gaggia descale - will try this on Thursday!
Well done!!!
Damn those teeth are yellow
Is it 1 shot of expresso or 2?
I used a double shot :)
90% of threads on the Ascaso subreddit is people asking for help with problems with their machines. That's hard to look past. There is an obvious issue with build quality of their machines. However nice they might look.
It’s funny to read these comments because I just think of the fact I’ve never posted on Reddit or a forum saying “oh I just got this machine. Everything works fine”. Most of what you’ll find is people looking for solutions to problems with any device or machine they have. That’s how it works. It’s like going to a mechanic just to tell them your car is fine. 😅
Perfect review
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Thank you 🙏🏻Just made it this morning and it tasted awesome🔥 how many calories would you say is in this drink?
Can you share the Amazon link for that cup?
Excellent review! Does using the adaptor (and a 15 amp outlet) significantly impact performance?
The most noticeable change is the steam power. Aside from that, I never dared extract + steam simultaneously when using the adapter. But I know some people do without any issues, I was just a bit afraid and never in such a rush I couldn’t wait the extra seconds.
@@lizhappybeans Thank you for your response!
It's a crappy retail service job, like any other. Low pay, on your feet, repetitive, boring and unless you own the shop, is getting you precisely nowhere. Somehow hipsters have convinced themselves that it's some kind of special job.
Hope you’re ok 🙏 things will get better ❤️🩹
lol.. what type of cup are you using?
Bro, this video might me nightmares…😢
😅 sorry bro
Great video thank you. Story of Jesus and Mary ❤ th-cam.com/video/u8uznBJYEu8/w-d-xo.html
Thanks ☺️
Thank you for this. I usually drink espresso or cafetière, but I’ve been wondering about Turkish coffee.
Glad it was helpful
I’m trying this….i get this drink at least 2-3 times a week….if I can make this at home for under 1 dollar a day I will drink it every day…..I’ll report back after this week. Thank you for the recipe
Hope it works! Looking forward to hearing back from you 🫶🏼☕️❤️
But a machine to make pods that suck less or buy a grinder and a sca approved coffee machine, etc
How does this video only have 725 views???? This is probably the 60th pour over video I’ve watched and it’s the BESTTTT one yet! To the point, clearly explained, just amazing 💜
I really appreciate the fact you found this video and left this comment. Helped me look back at my older videos and realize many things! With your view and comment, this video has accomplished its purpose. It’s ok if it doesn’t get a single extra view, as it helped YOU. THANKS for finding it, and subscribing to my channel. I really hope you’re enjoying amazing coffee at home! 🫶 Mission accomplished!
You deserve WAY more subscribers, your content is top notch
Thank you so much! Slowly but surely 🙏🏼
I rather buy 1000 espressos done by a professional barista in a nice setting at my local café. The price is ridiculus
That is absolutely fair! Making espresso in the comfort of your own home isn’t for everyone 🫶
This machine should last 10 years or more, that’s why it costs so much. And you’ll get way more than 1,000 espresso’s out of it. It’s saving money in the long run. Also making espresso is a hobby for a lot of people. Especially buying higher end ones like this.
O MY SWEEET LORD IT IS AMAZING!!!! I've been searching for a recipie since it is my boyfriend's favorite drink. We are sooo happy, thanks Liz.
Glad you found this!!! 🫶🙏 enjoy!!!
Lol "an art"? Bruh.....Press down. Its not complicated 😂
😂 You’re right, it’s not THAT complicated, but it does take some practice!
@@lizhappybeans That's true. 😎
its beautiful but its so expensive 😭
And only €2100! What a steal compared to the gagia at €550
😂 love this
V 60 gets a lot of love by coffee TH-camrs but I have been using the Kalita Wave metal brewer for 10 years. I take it Everywhere…car, camping, boat. Need a LEVEL surface to make coffee. It goes in the dishwasher every night. Tough and dependable. When I want more Clarity in my cup…I use a Chemex. So Kalita is a good choice for Everyone and your review was accurate and fair. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words! Totally agree!
So Moka is more than french and drip coffee but espresso is more than moka. 😊
That is correct
Such an incredible review. After using my Ascaso Steel Duo Plus for the past few months I can attest to many of the points that Liz is making. It really is a great machine, especially for this approachable price point!
Thanks for the kind words!!! 🙏 glad you’re enjoying your Ascaso! 🔥🔥🔥
Great video! What's the price on this one?
Depend where you live. In US it’s around $2000
Yes, you can. Blend the beans in a blender, then put it in a coffee maker.
😳
Can I buy for my small Coffee shop. Daily output of espresso 40-50 cup ? It fit with my budget .do u recommend any other with this price range ?
Loosing rhe accessories seems like a bad choice if this is yout first aeropress.
Not sure exactly why but this grinder doesn't seem to be part of the best recommandations from a lot of youtubers and I'm really wondering why.
@@simonmonty7171 because they use single dose, low retention grinders, usually with common burr sizes that can be swapped. This chick isn’t a coffee head. Just someone trying to make videos/money
The recommendations depend on what your workflow is. If you swap beans and try multiple beans often, a grinder like this won’t be ideal. I would always recommend this for a home environment where you spend longer time with a specific kind of coffee. And of course there’s also the price, which is tied to the quality and backing of the Mahlkonig brand. In my case, I have the opportunity to own and try multiple grinders, so I’ve got my single dosers to experiment and optimize the experience, and hopper grinders that I dedicate to certain type of beans. The X54 I usually have loaded with decaf! I have to say, coffee creators and TH-camrs can get very picky. I fall into that, but I also understand that there’s a wider audience that require other solutions. I also love making this kind of posts as it brings out those “coffee heads” that share their love with beautiful comments. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, and come to drop your thoughts in the comment section. I really appreciate it! ❤️
Oh btw I’ll be making a long form video to go more in depth in the pros and cons of this grinder. For those who want me say something negative about it so badly, don’t worry, no piece of coffee gear is perfect and I always do my best to be honest with my review 🙏
@@lizhappybeans thanks for the reply. Makes sense!
@@lizhappybeans looking forward to it!
Ummm you spilled a bit lol😂 but you did it under 90 seconds
😂🤣
My coffee is turning muddy and a lot is sediment is sitting
Sounds like you’re grinding too fine! Try going coarser and that should resolve 🫶🏼☕️
@ I bought moka pot grid coffee directly from
In Australia this machine is 3x as expensive as the Breville dual Boiler. I just can't see this as being 3x better, but of course this price may only apply to Australia. It is also about 1.8x as expensive as a lelit Elizabeth which is a dual boiler machine. It is comparable in price to the lelit Bianca V3. Your video didn't really show me it is better than that either. I think this machine has just priced itself out of competition for me unfortunately.
That’s unfortunate tbh, and I agree this should not even be an option in your case. In US and Canada, this machine is cheaper than the Elizabeth, and the Bianca is over twice as much.
@lizhappybeans actually your response is fortunate for me. Everytime I look at coffee machines I just cannot go past a Breville dual boiler and a df64v2 for price and performance - I can get this set up for just over $1,000usd. The pricing we get on lelit and Breville is just too good thanks to Breville being in Australia.
Or just put some instant coffee in hot water
Not quite the same, but coffee indeed.
I thought Lelit Bianco v3 is the home Endgame?
That’s such a great option too! I think many could be considered as such, it would depend on personal preferences 🫶🏼☕️
You can get a 20 amp to 15 amp adapter. The machine doesn't actually need a 20 amp circuit.
Actually there is a loss of power without a 15amp connection, and a risk of tripping the circuit if you want to use it simultaneously. I did use this machine with a 15amp circuit for a month, but never used it at full power simultaneously for that time.
@@lizhappybeansI bought it from the kitchen barista and it comes with a 15amp plug!
@@lillianchen7430 Wasn’t the older version of this 15amp? If i’m not mistaken, they changed it to 20amp because of complaints about performance
@ I thought it was the opposite 😂 ppl complain about the 20amp hard to find an outlet so they change it to new 15amp.. anyhow, I like my machine and have no problem with it.
Hey which portafilter is it? and would you recommend that specific one? I am looking into getting one for my own GCP!
This one I got from Coffee Addicts 4 years ago! I couldn’t find the exact one to link it to you here, sorry!
i hate coffee, why youtube, why?
🥲
If you outgrow Gaggia Classic - just add Gaggiuino to it. That's it.
yeah i too did my gaggiuino mod back in early october 2024. gives all the features of a 4000 dollar DECENT, but now there is a bottle neck in delivery because of some qc issues, unless you order the gen 2 version. plus for alot of people, it's not their thing to tool around with high voltage and scalding water of the plumbing in espresso machines. this acaso is a good alternative.
That is indeed a great option!
If someone wonder it’s a 2000€ machine ;). Thanks for the review!
Thanks! Very relevant to understand what we're comparing this too. The Gaggia Classic Pro comparison seems a bit of a stretch
@FGGiskard Well it's just that the gap in price is massive. I do like the Gaggiuino project though :).
@ you can get similiar features of the acaso out of a gaggia classic pro , with the 200 dollar gaggiuino mod kit.
Thanks for dropping by! Indeed the price from a GCP to this one is a big jump. Is it worth it instead of modding your Gaggia? That’s more of a personal choice. Which would be nice to explore on a subsequent video as I still own my GCP and planning to keep it 🤔.
I think it’s great that she compared it with the gaggia classic pro because I have one myself and have been contemplating an upgrade, as would many others, considering the popularity of the GCP.
the ascaso from your review is all one could ask for at this point in time for people who want the state of the art parameters in a ready-to-use package. my gaggia classic pro has all of important features, such as powerful steaming, pre-infusion-and the ability to change to different profiles, with the gaggiuino mod., since i am electronically inclined i was able to go that route. but for someone that doesn't want to mod an espresso machine, the ascaso, seems like a way to get the likes of a gaggiuino or a decent espresso model with convenience and saving$
This is really on point! I love my Gaggia, but the only way to get it to this level is modding, which is not my thing. The Ascaso is the natural next step, is how I think about it!
I mostly want this because espresso is a whim drink for me. I'm a roaster but I'm a 90% French press drinker and I want espresso randomly and to test coffees. I don't want to think about preheating. I just wanna make my drink. For now, I'm a Robot guy. I'm happy with it but it's annoying if I'm making drinks for more than 2 people. And I feel like guests can figure this out without too much trouble
@@veganpotterthevegan other than upon startup to heat the machine for 10 minutes, which you have to do whether you get the acaso or gaggiunio mod, both of them don't need to warm up between espresso brews. thats one of the reasons i modded the gaggia classic pro, but if your not comfortable working with high voltage, for the extra 1000 dollars the acaso will cost, its hands down the best value for the features it has, compared to Decent espresso models.
is it ok to have a ninja coffee maker? because i don't have room for an espresso machine
It’s always ok to have whatever coffee maker works for you and makes you coffee you enjoy 🙏
@ but I can’t make espresso shots
Light vs medium roast not dark
Great overview! Nice job!
Thank you!!!
Great video as always! This does seem like an awesome machine, especially with the heat up time. The temperature offset issue does seem to be the trickiest issue. Do you have any suggestions for testing if it’s set right?
You can use a Scace Thermofilter, however that’s a bit costly. I honestly just guide myself by what most people have tested which it’s 4-5 degrees Celcius. But from there on, I don’t preoccupy myself with it. Shots are turning out great!
What kettle do you use?
In this video, I’m using the Lafeeca DJ kettle 🫶🏼 you can check it out here and get a 15% off with my code if you’re interested in one: lafeeca.com/HAPPYBEANS
