    I tried other splints, but this one really is the best. I can still use my hand to type (it's on now) and I can still grasp a steering wheel (I drive for a living) but best of all I can still wash my hands and do most things without removing it, unlike the other splints.

      @@shreyashshrestha6085 it took a little over a week. It really was annoying that I couldnt play and for some reason, my other fingers were aching from being overused/compensating for the finger that was on a splint. But in the end, it was well worth the discomfort.

There is a pause when trying to do a circle. Then it locks, snaps and completes the circle. It feels strange. Any idea what could be causing this?

    I have badly damaged skin on my right hand after years of chemical exposure working military aircraft maintenance, and I've found when I slather Cortisone cream on it at night and put a glove over it (seems to be the only thing that helps the skin heal when it gets really cracked and bleedy), the next morning I have very painful trigger finger in the two middle fingers that takes an hour or two to go away. I stumbled on this video and will be getting my hands on a couple of these to see if they'll help prevent (or at least just reduce would be great) my symptoms in the mornings.

    Please help me. I had an operation on my hand because the thumb tendon was cut, and after removing the stitches, the doctor advised me to do physical therapy, but the thumb tendon got stuck, so the doctor returned the operation to me so that the tendon moved in its course easily. But now the tendon is still short and my thumb can't reach the palm of the hand and the hand muscle is weak and I still can't grab small things with my fingers. Please advise me with information and how long it takes for the tendon to return to its length, knowing that the first operation was in October and the second was in January, and thank you very much for the videos. They are very useful, but I find it difficult to apply them because the strength of my hands is weak, especially the thumb.

    Can i still do golfing with trigger fingers or continue to type on my keyboard?

    • @Matt-yw2oi
      @Matt-yw2oi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the severity, I get trigger finger attacks roughly 2-3 times a year, I personally would not be able to golf. My fingers get stuck in the bent position when suffering and it’s extremely painful, worse than any bone I’ve ever broken from playing hockey 20 years. Sleeping becomes impossible when it’s at its peak. I’ve tried avoiding spending this much on a splint, but I’m going to finally just do it anyway because it is terrible. You’ll still be able to type on a keyboard, just might be a little slower than usual, and there will be discomfort. My trigger finger attacks also last about 2 days and nights of intense pain, which seems endless, and usually completely resolves itself pain and inflammation free after a week or two.

Already done all the usual PT, ice, heat, cortisone shots, oral & topical anti-inflammatories, even forearm muscle-scraping, ultrasound, acupuncture...Trying to avoid surgery like plague (had carpal & cubital tunnels in both arms yrs ago; 18 MONTH post-op rehab/pt was a nightmare, and never quite the same)

I am stage 2, back for my PT tomorrow. If I can push through Rheumatoid arthritis, I can beat trigger finger with PT. Resting my hand No Surgery! No way will the Orthopedic Surgeons are pushing Another injection but Surgery. I read about 50 surgery outcomes it comes back. No way will I have them cut open my hand.

      @robinm.1961 I do repetitive movement and it only relieves the stiffness in my trigger finger for just a we bit meaning a very short while then the stiffness comes back or if if I bend my finger to far in the close position then it locks up on me then I forcefully have to pull my finger out of the bent position which causes massive pain..
      What I don't understand is trigger finger can form on its own so why can't trigger finger heal up and up and go away on its own without any kind of steroid injection or surgery from the doctor.
