He’s truly an inspirational man. I train like a maniac because guys like this push me. Phil brought the WSM back to America, he’s a national treasure.

My first time watching a Comp was the 06 WSM title when you won. Became a fan of the sport ever since

He’s officially the first American to win World’s Strongest Man in 2006 since Bill Kazmaier in 1982 & unofficially OD Wilson in 1990.

And back in bills day the bent steel on their heads and arm wrestled, and tug of war.

One of my favorite moments in all of WSM, was Phil in 2001, holding the Hercules hold and giving a speech while doing it. Savage!

Phil inspired me to do more than I was already doing. I remember being at the base gym and watching him do the hercules hold and predict his WSM win. Thank you for lighting a fire under my ass back then and today after watching this.

Considering how good and healthy he still looks at this moment, I honestly believe he was natural back in 2006, considering the extremely specific exercises under that WSM that Pfister was so well prepared for, due to his genetics, proper technique (utilizing momentum and not just raw brute strength) etc.
If that's the case that he truly was natural, I must say he's the greatest WSM ever to be.

You're too old and you were never a good deadlifter or squatter. Mobility and shoulder strength were your strong points. But....WSM is a lot heavier nowadays.

Did he say he was trying for WSM? Let the man just enjoy competing again, at whatever level that might be.

No need to be so negative he was great in his day and is getting back into it. I’d love to see him at a masters show

And who are you??? I've never heard of you that's for sure!!!
Try competing at that level with no performance enhancers and let's see how you do. I'm assuming you are just commenting because you enjoy negativity. Usually I would ignore ignorant people like you, but this man is a LEGEND and obviously I can't say the same for you because I've never heard of you. I'm assuming tearing others down makes you feel better about yourself. Hope you can spend your time doing better things!
