Appreciate the frequency of Roguetech episodes you've been putting out lately. Very much looking forward to seeing the Zeus finally hit the battlefield...and maybe not lose anymore pilots🤣.
I totally approve of the new series title - "Baradul's Meat Grinder. I was really sad that Bara didn't queue up the upgrades for more drop tonnage - the 620 limit that he has now is what is contributing to the difficulty he's currently facing - taking the Zeus means dropping something like the Tanachka and Shadow Hawk Lam. Getting bigger mechs doesn't help much if there are fewer mechs for the enemy to target... The Vulcan gun pod has the bug that if it fires, the sound doesn't stop. It's super annoying, but I'm not sure if there's more to getting the bug than that.
U mentioned probably not running an ajax. Its one of the best lams out there. Mine has 14-15 evasion 4 clan srm 6s, a daisy cutter,12 phoenix missiles,4 agm 10s, a quad missile pod and an anti air missile. It's lethal
I agree. My Ajax is running 6- SRM4's with DF ammo, 1- Med laser, 2- vulcan pod(wm), 1- 4x guided bomb(wm),2- missile bays with Phoenix millies(x3), and AGM-10(x2) ammo & AMS(C). it usually gets 13 evasion. The thing pops mechs. Ajax has omni hardpoints which make the thing so verastile and deadly. Don't sleep on it
I wish you had Cyclones again (the transformable power armor / motorcycles from a year or so ago) because you would do well now that you know how they work.
About the "always rolls for a crit" tag. I have a 3 VGP / 2 mms 10 setup on a mech. So that is 50 rolls for a crit... BUT, I am lucky if I see one component take a crit. Don't get your hopes up.
my last play through of roguetech i think i had a warhammer lam with something like 2 arrow iv clan and a rake of wing mounts and bomb bays with hellfire missiles and quad with cluster was just mean
Because of your videos i had the drive to beat the base game and then try RogueTech. I started a new game but couldnt get to a low enough difficulty for my lance but after trying again 1 issue i ran into with every new game is that the entire map has no faction control. All planets are labeled Abandoned. Tried fresh reinstall and cache clear. Anyone run into this before and have suggestions?
Baradul, I've been meaning to ask, but when are you going to return to Mechwarrior 5: Mercs? Not that I'm complaining about the content, I love the content, but we left MW5: Mercs for the Clans fairly abruptly; so I would like to have an answer.

The bug doesn't happen all the time, so there has to be some other factor.
Vulcan Gun-Pods are amazing for taking out vehicles.

Put lasers, ppc's, autcannon's or missiles on your Atlas. It won't be optimal but it's a 100 toner.
I don't know if they fixed it, but the Vulcan Gun Pods can bug your sound and play machine gun sounds the entire mission.
Nope - hasn't been fixed. And the problem multiplies with the number of gun pods unfortunately.

Is it actually a good idea to run so heavy over the mission? Don't they add extra lances but no extra rewards?

NVM was able to fix issue. At least for now. In the launcher i had to wipe RT Cache and Install and then reinstall it.
Update, issue still happening but only with the online map. Every planet is abandoned except the clans. Weird. Offline map is fine though.

Not a quick duel though, anything over 3 turns in a duel is bad.
