Dude didn’t show how he got the actual bearing out lol skipped a whole step. You took off the snap ring then in the next clip your already pressing in the new bearing
The intro is good. No fireworks display. Direct to the point. Very detailed. Now i can DIY my Honda civic.
Very clear and helpful, thank you!
As good as Chris Fix or MrSubaru, and without 10 minutes of driving around getting the parts and waffling to the camera like most car YTers do
Couple improvements to this. Freeze the bearings for 30min-1hr before you install it and it will go in very easily. After you get the bearing in, support the bearing on the back side instead of the whole spindle and it won't push the bearing out when you press the hub into the bearing.
Just by the thumbnail I knew this was going to be a well detailed/explained video! Thank you🙏🏽
I like this. No shitty intro at the beginning, and you just get to the point.
U didn’t even show how to sent the hub screw after you install it
You didn’t even show how you removed the bearing 🤦🏻♂️
You push it out with the new one.
Um... 5:18
What? He clearly showed how.
Totally skipped over how you got the bearing out lol
can you do this without a press that he used for the bearing ?
You can try freezing the hub before you try mating it with the bearing but usually you need a press
Lmao I crack the wrong knuckle 😀
Oh yeah Itza
Of all the DIY ive watched, this is the most informative video that ive seen. I like all the procedure on how to dismantle . Oh mèn you are awesome.
Thank you that means a lot to me🙏🏽
I like the idea of removing the arm to have better leverage but only if it's necessary.
Good video except no explanation on removing the old bearing
Great explanation. Your pace is right on and no wasted steps. New subscriber.
Preciate you man!🙏🏽
Underrated video! Thank you for the clear video and audio brother 🙏🏼

You are very good at going over the basics, didn't listen to anything that wasn't necessary.
Have you ever froze the bearings and slid them in? Would it make a difference here?
Ive never tried it but ive heard it works pretty good, next time i replace another bearing il make a video haha
Thank you for your detailed explanation. I've been having a really difficult time replacing the hub studs on my civic. This helped a lot!
Glad i could help🤙🏽
Need to swap out those ball joints while apart, those were shot!
Ono , univo video que achei , que foi bem explicado !!!
Me ajudou muito, parabéns

dude, why are you lifting ur honda like this? :o
Nice detailed video. Have you used those National bearings before? If so what’s your opinion on them?
Thank you, but yea national bearings are my go to they always make good stuff, they are a bit more on the pricey side compared to others but definitely worth it
I’ve would’ve used a rubber mallet
Great video, gettin the job done without fancy tools
Thank you!
I followed these exact steps and i think my seals are blown .. both sides are leaking. I got the wheel bearings from 1aauto.. thinking just bad bearings
Geez nothing but helpful info thank you my car is modified so going for bigger axles but I have to swap out the hubs and wheel bearing thanks
So does the TRQ 6 piece set come with the bearings pressed in already or would I have to have that done
What size is that socket your working the bearing with?
Nice video tutorial idols👍👍
Just curious if you absolutely had to in an emergency do you think one could lightly tap the hub into the bearing with a socket, flip it and tap the back of the bearing with a socket, flip it, tap the hub, flip it, etc slowly back and forth to install the hub by hand without a press or special tool?
Yea if i absolutely had to I would, if you have a little bit of time put the hub in the freezer for about and hour and the bearing somewhere warm that way the hub shrinks a little and it should help
does yours have abs? i have a 95 civic ex that dosent have abs, so i need to know if i can use non abs bearings for a dx or Lx, and would it work the same? cause i cant find non abs ex bearings
Mine didnt have abs either. Look on rockauto.com they have them on there, theres a few options I recommend the brand National they are a bit more pricey than the rest but great quality
Would I follow this video if I want to change the wheel bearing by changing the wheel hub assembly? I don’t want to do the pressing steps
Yea i think either way you’re going to have to press them together. I dont really know of any other way to do it, maybe there’s other tutorials that do it a different way. Sorry i dont have a better answer for you haha
Seems pretty straight forward. Thank you for the video and not a bunch of extra unnecessary crap.

Hey man I have a 89 can I know how to do it on mine
what size is that knuckle in the middle? trying to fix my 2000 civic and i dont have a socket for it
Should be a 32mm
bro don't fuck that inner race up
Don’t even bother smacking that lower control arm to get the ball joint loose. Just Jack up the control arm, place a 1/2” ratchet handle between the knuckle and control arm (right behind the ball joint boot), and let the Jack loose. Ball joint will pop loose quickly and easily with no effort whatsoever. Doesn’t tear up the control arm, either.
I've hammered the control arm plenty and it doesn't release the ball joint screw. What is the force that will make the ball joint release upwards if arm is hammered? I'm not having success like in the video unfortunately. Perhaps your method can work for me. I can't picture what you did with the ratchet handle. Also, where do you jack up the control arm? Thanks.
You can try to put a jack under the lip on the rotor and lift the suspension a little bit to put some pressure on it and hit with a hammer, or you can also try using a torch if you have one to heat it up and make the metal expand.. fire usually always works just make sure you dont burn the boot on the ball joint
Lifting on the rotor usually works i would try that before the fire
Using a heavier hammer usually helps as well like a mini 2lb sledgehammer if you have one
@@RICHY6 I ended up using a separator tool to get the ball joint out of the control arm. I tore the boot unfortunately. After getting the knuckle out, I learned a few things. Do not remove the upper arm connection before removing the lower arm connection. That is what pulls up the ball joint when hammering the connection. Replacing the ball joint is next project in the near future. I was hammering up at it trying to get it loose and it's probably compromised now. I do like your idea of lifting the rotor (lip?) and then releasing the suspension. I'll resort to that when I work on the other side of the car. Thanks.
Wouldn't you want to put the bearing in the hub first ? Lmk thanks
Yea you can do that too it might even be faster honestly. I just do it the way i do to make sure the bearing goes in straight by itself first and then move on to the hub. Either way is fine tho
Coo, thanks.
Excellent video. Thank you sir 🫡
Yessir you’re welcome💯
can I just put it in gear when taking the axel nut off with a breaker bar instead of doing it on the ground?
I suppose you could sounds pretty sketch tho haha, if you have a big enough breaker bar it shouldn’t be too hard to do it by hand
Fire red 5s 🔥
Your video is excellent and to the point. Thanks for posting.

Should this process be the same for a 1995 Integra?
Yessir should be the same
@@RICHY6 awesome thanks for the response
Is it necessary to change the hub as well, or can I change just the bearing ?
You can just replace the bearing but most of the time the inner part of the bearing stays stuck to the shaft of the hub and you have to end up cutting it off, its honestly way easier and saves a ton of time just buying the bearings and hubs new, on rockauto you can find them for a pretty good price
Will this be the same for a 90 crx ??
Yessir I believe so
You explain very well 👍🏽
Thank you🫡
Link to the wheel hubs?
Go to rockauto.com
Nice job and instructions
Thank you🫡
Can I buy a hub with the new bearing already in it???
Like no pressing needed
Unfortunately the front needs pressing, only the rears are sold with the hub and bearing together for some reason
Thank you sm
Yessir you’re welcome🤙🏽
Great video helped a lot
Thank you, glad i can help!🤙🏽
what company did you get the hub assembly's from?
I get all of my parts from Rockauto
