And it is very likely things won't be changing soon at all based on their history. They may want to play with the big dogs but they don't provide all the features the big dogs provide. Customer service is paramount. And that is why I will follow your lead in regards to FB. Thanks for making this video.
I went through this nightmare a couple of months ago. You are so right. However, the problem did get resolved via email. The money was put in my account. The buyer refused to communicate with me!! Shipping on market place is terrible.

I'm on the other end being scammed on marketplace, seller marked it shipped on a Sunday night and days later the carrier is still awaiting item to be shipped and he is stringing me along. There's no support or definitive answers it's the worst platform out there..

I just started using shipping on FB & it was ok on a couple items. But today the item was heavier & bigger than what FB thought. It was clear what the item was so, I don't know how they got it wrong. But anyways, I got help on the chat right away & he even called me & helped me right away. So maybe they HAVE changed things? IDK... Now, I'm waiting on my customer to respond if she still wants the item because shipping is going to cost her about $14 dollars instead of $9.

My experience has been since the shipping option was implemented, anything I list on Marketplace that doesn't include shipping gets absolutely no views.

I can't afford to pay the annual taxes on ebay sales. It is is essentially more cost effective to take my chances on Marketplace.
You still are going to be paying taxes on marketplace too…

@@jasonsims007 you are still responsible to pay taxes no matter what platform you use. But whether you do or not is up to you

Question for those who sell things on FBm... How does buying and shipping work? i pay using my dc, or cc, and the seller ships out the item providing me with the tracking number? or how does it work.... I'm trying to get PS5 and the description seems a bit off... it says " I bought my son a ps5 thinking he had ps4, while my wife apparently had already bought him ps5, so, I'm now reselling it for $150" does this sound legit?
Its hard to say but I would be wary. Buyers dont have much protection on Marketplace. You can't get anyone on the phone for customer service

Great video guys !! I have a question for you ,, I sell wet suits for surfing . If you sell it on ebay , it let you calculate the exact size for the box plus the weight , while facebook , you only have the option to select

Awesome! We have heard great things from several people! But for us, until they improve their customer service, we can't promote them as a platform with shipping. We don't do smaller items typically so for us it's not worth it.
My first fb purchase with shipping was a scam. Seller never shipped. It was weird and it made me not trust the ship part of marketplace. Today I'm shipping my first fb sale. Hopefully things go smoothly. If not, I will never use it again.

I am going back to all the small local websites to sell. Ebay will 1099K all sellers in the future. It sucks.
You will get a 1099 on all reselling sites. Not just eBay
