Crazy to see someone answering comments one year old video thanks so much mate. Now my question is any good tests to do on the car other than just a test drive to make sure it’s not gonna fall apart tomorrow morning
Get a PRE-PURCHASE inspection by an experienced certified auto mechanic. It will be well worth the money if only for your peace of mind if not the cost saving of repairs for conditions unknown to buyer and seller at the time of sale.
No but there’s a period of time from when you create an account that you can’t just use fb dating or fb marketplace I think it’s like a week so you should be good
What do you usually do to background check the car? What site are you using to check the vin? What are some things you inspect? How do you make sure the car doesn’t have a lien on it or anything weird like that? (I guess if they have the title there won’t be a lien right)?
what about registration? like ik some ppl will say it's registered, but then fail to mention that it will cost a few grand to get it registered next time. what do i do about that (im 16 looking for my first vehicle)?
That's going to be different depending on where you live. Registration doesn't matter to me unless there's something wrong with the car that's going to prevent it from being able to be registered. Most NA Miata's are old enough now to not require emissions if you have that. One of the most important things is to make sure it has a clean title and registration shouldn't be an issue.
I didnt have problems with registration i got that signed right over i fell for a trap so don't make a mistake like me inspect tour car from top to bottom from underneath to inside
if you live in Kali, reg is gonna cost about $200 to $400 for tags, PLUS tax. also it is WISE (I mean very wise) to have the seller smog the car (pass emissions) BEFORE you buy it
wym by secondary dealers? Im thinking about buying from a guy who claims to not be a dealership, but is selling 10-20 cars actively. They dont seem too aggressive, should I still be worried? They gave me a pretty decent offer but its 4 hours away 💀💀💀
Is there anyway you can do a fact check on the car or a website to check the cars, history, their mileage, and the previous owners and damage and clean title
I recently bought a car from Facebook marketplace on the 4th. Went to a couple car dealers I personally know thinking they could help me get the title in my name and no luck yet. It’s a salvage title and the fellow sold it to me already fixed. He never gave me receipts or pictures and he never got a rebuilt title he said I could. I plan to take a trip to dmv hoping all can work out. He signed his name and address on a piece of paper that has yet to be notarized. And he just gave me title and car he wrote nothing on back or front. My question is will I get this easily worked out or will this be a headache. Has same state title as where I live but I never got him to sign the title and we didn’t get anything notarized and he lives 3 hours from me. Will I be good by just going to dmv to apply for title in my name and rebuilt title so I can drive car. It’s a 2013 mustang v6 runs and drives. Was totaled only because of a baby hit to the back air bags never went off. Has salvage title but runs and drives and is 100 percent fixed can’t even tell it had been hit.
I’ve reached out to a few sellers and two reached back saying they’re selling for their sister and gave an email….it was giving phishing scam but I want to be sure is that common?
I’ve got a genuine question, is there any way possible to do monthly payments on a vehicle from fb? Having the cash up front is def a tough thing especially rn
Getting a loan from a bank or something would be the only way really. Or sometimes used car dealers list on fb and you could usually do payments with them.
There are small dealers who are there on Facebook marketplace to Flip cars. They buy and sell cars, normally they get these cars from auctions and sell on Facebook market. How to avoid them and reach the real private seller (if there are private seller in the first place)?
No car is worth what the dealership offers. That's like saying you want to buy something and resell it for what you paid or more. That's not how depreciating assets work.
amazing vedio thak you ,i respect guyes like you man ,please i have a question ,i see people selling many cars on facebook ,is it safe to buy from them as i never bought a car from facebook and as far as i know you have to buy a car from the real owner whos name on the title of the car ,but they say they have a title in hand .i just want to get a car and not spending many years paying a dealer loan ,thank you

Hello there, great video, I wanted to ask, I found a car I like on Facebook marketplace contacted seller and I met him in person, we talked and reached a deal however he said he wants a actual cash not money or anything like that, I hesitant about because what proof will I have if I buy the car that I bought it from him? He saying he will give me bill of sales and the title, not sure if that is enough proof because he is not the actual owner he is selling for his mom. I want to see if you have any recommendations or any suggestions?
Cash and bill of sale is fine. Just make sure whoever’s name is on the title is the same person who’s name is filled in and signed on the back of the title when they sign it over to you.
@@willpage79 I believe you can get a temporary plate (aka temp tag or temporary paper plate) either before or after you buy the vehicle. I'm not exactly sure how though.
They legally have to sign it over if there selling it if they decide not to sign it over after deal consult a lawyer or take it into your own hands and get your money back
@@chrislagunas2000 I just expect to pay $10k for one and an additional $5k just to get it up to good working order. I know that might be a bit much but I want one so bad it'll hopefully be worth it
Miatas are one of the cheapest sports cars for the specs and they're classics. And they're still under $10k. That's cheap for that much car. If you want a really cheap car just buy any Buick or Chevy with a 3800, change the oil and drive it for 10 years for $1500.
You'll have the title, most states have some sort of grace period. If you were pulled over all you would have to do is explain you just bought the car.
I really want a ford crown Victoria or grand marquis, are these good cars for a first car? And how much miles should I be looking for (under 150k? Under 100k?)
not a good first car. im assuming you're looking for one from the 80s and they are either going to be super hard to find with good maintenance or 200k+ miles. If you want to get a car for fixing and working on it for 5 years and spend 10-20k on go for it. do not get either of those as a first car, go for reliability. If you like the long front design look at a mustang or challenger
@@catzlatanWhat kind of advice is that? Why would they be looking for 80s ones? The 2000s ones are going for around $5k and they probably wouldn’t need much fixing if at all.
My dad got a crown vic for $1000 as a sort of test car for us as we learned to drive. Its had some mechanical issues like ac and the windows getting stuck but I think it’s a good cheap option.
any ford or merc with the 4.6 is a VERY reliable and solid car. best years 00 , 01, 02, 03, 04. look for lower 100k maybe 120k if you can. you want to make sure you can get service records to make sure it was taken care of. you dont want a police model, those were driven FAST every single day lol. always budget $500 to 1k for repairs. even tires will be 300 to 400, and now a battery is 150 to 200. GOOD LUCK !
Titles have a status. Clean, rebuilt, salvage. Rebuilt or salvage indicate the car had significant damage and was repaired. These usually require extra steps to register so I always look for cars with a clean title.
