Great video! I'm trying to add shipping for a golf bag but there is no option to put in the size of the box just weight. The box is pretty big so that would increase the cost. Do you know how to add the dimensions of a box?

Glad I found your channel, again. I used to sell on Poshmark but now want to use FB Marketplace for another product I am selling. Regarding sales tax charged to the buyer, do you know if FB submits the tax to the states you sell in like Poshmark does (or used to)?Thanks for the video. It answered a lot of questions for me.

I noticed on FB Marketplace that they do not request distance for shipping in order to calculate price of shipping. They did, however, ask about the weight. I have 18.5 x 12 x 4 item that someone wants me to ship. These dimensions are JUST the item - I have not decided on how big the box should be. I'm assuming that I need to calculate the box that I'm putting item in in order to get a more accurate shipping cost. The item is being shipped approximately 97 miles from me. Any suggestions?
Great video! Is shipping cost based solely on weight and not size of package? I want to sell a golf bag which is 7 LBS but goes in a really big box, so does the size of the box matter? Thanks

So Facebook charges only by weight I have a package that large but Facebook only have by weight for pre label it weight is 40 pound so it doesn’t matter where u ship to

1. So if you have a lot of items listed on Marketplace and most of them are been renewed 7 times which is the max to renew on FB MKT and can't be renew again. What do you do? Do you delete all of them and post them again for the first time or marks them as sold and then as an available?
2. If you have a FB Page for your online resell business. This information on how to ship is the same if you sell an item from your FB Page (not a FB online store) instead of Marketplace?

FB will send the buyer a full refund within minutes.
Hi my question is that , I start selling on fb market place since nov. last year and I make about 1-2 k , do I report that to the Irs on my taxes? Or should I report $699? I’m confused because they didn’t sent me a 1099! Does the same goes for EBay?

Great video. I still have a few questions regarding shipping. I have a listing for an item (men's shoes) that is marked allowing Local Pickup and Shipping. 1)) A person is trying to buy this item from me and he says he does NOT see a BUY button. Not sure what I'm missing. 2)) If I open a new tab on the computer and bring up facebook marketplace (I'm NOT logged into my account) If I type in the title for a few of my items, some appear in the search results, and some do not. Do you know how to handle a lost package? For example, if usps tracking says it was delivered but the customer says that they didn’t get it? So my question is who refunds the customer? Facebook or me? Do i have to send another package out? Which would be my loss.

When you start a fb market place account do they give you a link so that you can share on other social media platforms, for example, if I can post the link on TH-cam or Instagram I need to be able to have people click the link and be directed to the fb market place where they can make a purchase. This is such a great video. Thank you for sharing all of this info! I have a question about a potential sale. Someone wants me to sell them a pair of pants and use shipping. They refuse to purchase through Facebook Marketplace and only want to use Venmo or PayPal. Does this seem like a scam? Also, other platforms like Posh would ban an account for taking transactions away from their pay system. Is Facebook Marketplace the same way?

Bethany do you keep your FB sales linked to your personal FB or do you have a business FB page you make listings from.... Also, I watched your video on how you set up your bookkeeping (amazing and so helpful!), do you also include FB marketplace sales like you would your ebay and poshmark accts?
All my FB sales are linked to my personal FB. And I dont personally track my income with FB on my spreadsheet. But, I will get a 1099 from FB for selling so I will submit that with my taxes. To get credited for my expenses for this, my expenses are tracked on my spreadsheet so my expenses are all still getting tracked regardless of where the item sells. Hopefully that makes sense!
Anyone know that when shipping the stuff do we just drop it in the post box or at the ups location every time when we get a shipping order?
When I ship on Facebook market place when I sell and package it in a bubble envelope I weigh and just slap the shipping label on but when I have a box to ship i weigh it but why don't I see dimensions so do I just slap the label on the box and not worrie about it
This was very helpful and appreciated. I do have a question- I see it showed the full amount as a refund amount, if someone wants a refund do you have to refund that amount even though you did not receive the shipping nor the sales tax funds? Thank you
So if they got a refund, they would receive that total amount back (purchase price + fees/taxes) but it wouldn't all come from me. FB would refund them the fees/taxes portion since they received that part of the buyers payment and I would be responsible for refunding the actual purchase price since that's the portion I received. hopefully that makes sense!
Hello, If you link to PayPal for FB payments are there PayPal fees in addition to FB fee when you ship?
I'm really confused about the whole thing. When the sales say pending it's still give you options to print labels or the sales have to say sold and end. To be able to print it

What kind of boxes do you use for shipping?
For some reason, every time I create a new listing & publish it my new listings automatically shows as "Mark as Sold" and highlighted in red as "Sold" even though it is not. I then select the drop down option "still available" but it still is showing as "Sold" . I'm really not sure what I am doing wrong because I wanted to start trying to sell items on FBMP but so far, I cannot get past this point

Update...I did everything just like you showed but at the end of the listing before I can publish the item it is forcing me to put bank info when I put PayPal in the way you showed. Idk if something changed since you made this video. I published the item just using pick up. Oh well...keep searching for answers. Thank you though for your efforts 🙂

I sold on FBM in the past before the fees started, and it looks like a lot of things have changed on there since then. I have a beautiful antique pedal steel that I was hoping to list on there, but I sold a Goldwing trike during the time they weren't charging fees, and I suspect now after watching your video that I'll probably end up getting a tax form on it at the end of the year because I was asked if I sold it on there, so idk? LOL I've paid plenty of taxes on it already.

I know you posted this back in February but I hope you'll answer a simple question. I want to make sure there is a Buy Now button on my Marketplace listing. When I look at my listing, I don't see that option, but maybe I'm not seeing the same thing my customers see. any suggestions? And how Do? you get answers to your questions with FB. To sell in marketplace I don’t have the option for buyers to buy my items. Also my bank information doesn’t work and I don’t have the option to choose PayPal. How can I sell then? I contact customer support and they don’t have the answer.

they don't have that option. You have to create a new listing for the specific person who wants multiple items so they only pay shipping once.

When I post stickers for under $5 I no longer have the option to ship. Why is that? How are people shipping for stickers under $5 with the option to ship for $5? I personally don’t (but I’d recommend doing so if you need boxes). But I use poly mailers from amazon and recycle my amazon boxes to ship things in!

@@itzelgarcilazo9194 a lot of the USPS (free) boxes are for priority mail or flat rate mail. It just depends on what you are shipping. if you are shipping something light weight, you are better off not using their box, it cost to much to ship it
@@itzelgarcilazo9194 if the item is less than 1 lb you have to use your own packaging. If over you can use free USPS packaging for priority mail or express. Hope that helps 😃

Hi! I always delete and resist the item when that happens. annoying, I know.. but Sometimes there are glitches when listing on Facebook and items get 0 views when they'd normally get a lot more.

OK great but how to edit the list of places to post too from the list they offer.. even if I join say 15 crafting sites but only car sites or home rentals are in the list to post.
Then your crafting group admins have made it so you can’t post things for sale in their groups.
