I inherited a model 756 and these videos have been a lifesaver for me because I’m not a seamstress and you really go into detail with everything. I need to learn. Thank you very much. Keep them coming.
Thank you so much, Nicki! Just bought a Touch & Sew 756 yesterday from my local charity shop, hoping to teach myself the sewing basics. The machine didn't come with the manual, and although I found a copy online, the directions for the bobbin still eluded me. Your instructions are super helpful. Really appreciate the video!
Thank you for sharing! Just got this for my 4 yr old daughter. Wasn't sure of the bobbin threading process on this style machine. She loves to sew with me. I have about 12 machines, this was the first self winding drop in bobbin I have.
Hey Nikki! I used your tutorial to get to this point. Within 2 seconds of starting my fabric through, it got jammed immediately. I am unsure of what I did wrong but there were strings everywhere once I removed the thread plate. I’ve cleaned them out as much as I can but the machine is still jammed, will not move at all. I’m brand new to sewing and machines. Any suggestions on how to get it unjammed?
I hope you were able to get it in jammed by now. But the best way I have found to clear out a jam is to take the bobbin out and remove the pieces that hold the bobbin. That usually works for me. But without seeing your issue in person, I can’t give an accurate suggestion.
Do I need a special foot to use the decorative stitches on it or can I just use the zig zag foot? I had no accessories come with my 746 when I bought it except a zig zag foot...
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but it has broken three new needles. It worked up great until my fourth project so something happened. Can you explain
I’m not sure. I recommend you join Facebook groups that specialize in vintage Singer Sewing machines. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people there that are more than happy to help answer questions like this.
hello I hate to keep asking bothering you but I ask request very nicely please kindly film how you make the sewing machine electric foot pedal stay in place so it doesn't move or slide around it would be very much appreciated if you would film this video request please ok? Please kindly let me know ok?thank you very much
There are several things you might do. First off I have a cabinet with knee control. For floor control find the place which seems to be correct. Use double sided tape and on the bottom of the foot control put the tape. (make an outline where the pedal was so when you replace it, it will be in the correct position. Generally on a carpeted floor (carpet with pile) your pedal will generally not move provided you don't sew with your shoe on. It seems from what I have seen of all the new machines knee controls don't seem to be an option. I worked for Singer many years. I have 2 machines and cabinets each with knee control. Both are golden touch & sew machines from the 70's. I say if it will go under the presser foot, and it is not steel or some such material the machine will sew it. Slant needle was so far ahead of it's time as well as the touch & sew feature. Winding the bobbin without removal and retreading the machine. I will receive notifications so if you have other questions just ask.

Glad I could help! I love to hear that kids are learning to sew.
Just got the 775. It's not much different. This really helped 👍
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve referred to it time and time again! I’m a beginner sewer, and really appreciate this 💕
Beautiful vintage Singer !! And unique bobbin winding compared to most machines ! Glenn
Thanks!
I got the model 758 and the bobbin case seems loose as it changes position when I try to wind thread.

I have found the zig zag foot to work for most stitches. The manual for the sewing machine would be the best place to verify that.
