Your prismatic sweater is looking so lovely, the grey yarn really makes the pink pop I love grey and pink together. The hat turned out so nice, and your socks are so much fun and do really look like a birthday. I tried to start the shaw a long but was not successful I think I was too tired that night so tomorrow that my challenge. Stay safe love and hugs xx

I have a suggestion for another way to count 'eliminating stash' that still counts those half skeins that go back into stash:
    Do it by weight!
You can figure out the total weight of your stash, then subtract the weight of every new project. Then when you do projects that use up the rest of a skein (for example a matching cowl to that beanie) , you are still working towards that goal of reducing stash, but you don't get to the end of a project, and if you have any wool left feel like you haven't made enough of a dent. It would be really cool to see the weight going down through the year!

Omg, the light rose gold/pink yarn would be so pretty with a medium to dark gray 😍

How about fingerless mitts? That's always a fun one to make with leftover skeins of yarn. So glad to hear that you take some "me time". That's important.

Instead of throwing out your small remains of scraps, have you considered connecting them together to make a magic knot ball? You can grow a super scrappy ball of yarn that way.

I LOVE those split markers! They were the first set of markers I ever got and I love them for counting rows in knitting and counting/separating stitches. I also use them to keep my crochet safe when I’m not working on it by putting the ring through the working loop and the adjacent stitch and pulling the yarn taught. works like a charm!

I haven’t read the Bridgaton books but also thought the series was very dramatic, no spoilers! I also watch Outlander, books I have read, so understand what you mean about book V series.

I'm just about to start the Tesselation Tee! How wild lol
Also, I'd match that copper link with a navy or a darker slate blue/charcoal type color. Unless you want to go bright, in which case a turquoise would be beautiful.

It’s a pain in the butt to calculate, but for the sleeves of your Prismatic Sweater, I think it would be lovely to do a row of the diamond pattern around the wrist. Maybe just a row of the smallest diamonds from the top of the colorwork section side-by-side? I’m working on doing something similar with my Carousel Sweater by Tin Can Knits. My decision to do it came from me asking this question: would I enjoy any other way of doing the sleeves and hem as much as I would enjoy continuing the colorwork pattern? I’ve worked so hard on the rest of the sweater; I might as well put in the hard work to make it the perfect sweater versus settle for something easier that I like less.

The leftovers from your Everyday slouchie beanie might work well in the Tessellation tee. It might be subtle colorwise, but interesting texture-wise.

I really like the tessellation tee and tried crocheting it. It was going great until I realized my main color was very variegated and wasn’t working (and the 3 skeins I had were very different from each other). I would love to try it again with different colors.

  • @CassieDA17

I’m kinda embarrassed to admit it, the two different colored pink socks would drive me crazy. I’m really anal about things matching and being perfectly even. I know I have issues. If I have an itch on one arm I have to scratch both so my arms feel even 😬
I’m knitting the Night Blooms sweater and that has a simple contrast color bind off on the sleeves and hem. That might be a nice idea for your prismatic sweater. I also planned on trying mine on 1” into the body and forgot, lol

I would like to do the float tote but I would want to make it a drawstring closure because I have a sneaky kitty that likes to steal things from my bag. I am also thinking of ways to make the fabric stiffer. Just ideas I was thinking of. I can’t wait to see what you do with it.

I saw on Instagram that you can use yarn scraps and latch hook them into a rug. You could also make a wall hanging that way, especially if you wanted to make a design with the colors you have leftover.

  • @eyelacraft
    @eyelacraft 2 ปีที่แล้ว

My suggestion is to consider doing a color work section at the bottom of the sweater. I crocheted a sweater and repeated the yoke pattern (it was a color work yoke) at the wrists and it drove me crazy. Of course, YMMV. The colors in your yoke are so beautiful that it would likely look great at either the wrist or bottom.

Love your finished knit projects! Could you make a pair of mittens from that pink yarn, to match the hat you just finsihed? Why l ask, is that l don't know much about the mohair type of yarn and how it would stand up the that kind of wear and tear.
