One of current my projects is the Jilly cardigan and it's really fun to make. It's good for using scrap yarns. I'm using handyed yarn for mine.

Love Breaking News on College Humor, if you haven’t already you should check out their other show Game Changer, couple episodes out on TH-cam, but so many more on their streaming service, Dropout. Well worth the price! Plus if any interest in nerdy things Um, Actually is a great trivia show.
you will LOVE the book A Discovery of Witches. so good. watch the series- its wonderful. i am very happy you are staying in NYC for another year. I told my mother i would stay for only 5 years--- it was 18 yrs!!! but that was long ago. its a different life style and you can enjoy life in a different way than owning a home etc. lots more time to do things like knit when you dont have to maintain a yard and such. enjoy.
I applied to test knit the Looking Up socks but never heard back😭😭 but I will be looking forward to that adorable pattern!

I didn't know you were only possibly here in NYC for one year! Glad that want to stay and that you can stay. I've been here a long time...but I have known a lot of people that come and don't love it....just can't get used to it. I love, love that Chelsea's Coop color but think I just want to knit a sweater using the boucle-ish base not holding with mohair...so still thinking about patterns before I order some.

Very happy your staying . I love watching you even I don't knit trying it's hard for me I love crochet 🧶 though I do that almost everyday I made a baby blanket for a friend some washclothes. I am thinking of making a dress for the baby to . Crochet 🧶 faster for me .
There are needle sizes between a 10.5(6.5mm) and 11(8mm)! You can get 7mm and 7.5mm too. Chiaogoo make them so you must be able to get them in the US even if there isn't a US size for them

New to knitting and wanted to know if it’s a good idea to wind the yarn together that I have to hold double for a pattern.
Hmm I’ve never thought of trying that but my first thought is that if the yarn is not the exact same yardage it might give you some issues toward the end of winding up your skeins...
I've seen some folks try this with varying degrees of success. If they are the same yarn it can work pretty well, but variations in yarn fiber content can make the paired skein do weird things. Specifically with mohair held with fingering, I've seen the mohair end up bunched in a tangle around the other yarn because it ends up used at a slightly slower rate than the fingering it was wound with, which is a huge headache to work with
