Just as a note to add ontop of your video (Which is fantastic, by the way). You can also do all the command Via clicking Backspace and clicking orders on the map, which can make it alot easier in huge battles
F1 - i dint know about that but now i use my archers on a hill and send my infintary on the side and cav on the other side so my archers pepper the enemy and then i send my infintry to fuck with the enemy with a downhill charge and then i send my cav to sandwich my enemy .
I also like to hav my reliable but weak companions labeled important on unit types, so i can keep them out but alive in battle for the surgury perk and first aid for the long run keeping everyone aliveusong surgery, because ur units start to die if ur medic gets knocked out

Hmmm yeah that was new . I've been selecting group backspace to bring up map then designating an appropriate spot with consideration for the incoming assailants. I like this better though ;) ,but would have hated it when I first started playing . when learning, the battles are just chaos . I had to focus on just staying alive, then timing melee on horseback ,then archery then command. Good thing Swadia was pretty much good to go from the gate . I'd have never made it as a rhodock.

For those who are asking this same question: If you want to burn your name to Calradian school books: use non-faction specific troops so you can change your opponent willy-nilly and not care that the Rhodok troops start to desert your army if you attack any of the starting Rhodok places and their kingdom. Or if you like to play a little micromanagey, put the Rhodoks on garrison duty whilst attacking their lands and their original nominal leaders. and they should be just fine. Same goes for any faction specific troops whilst attacking their starting faction.

Sounds like you are on a laptop and your function keys are not enabled. Try figuring out how to enable them and it wont mute your game and work correctly :)

They suck early in the game but eventually they become your strongest fighters and they can't die.

Are you pressing two keys at once? Like FN+F1? You should only be pressing F1 no combination.
