It feels wrong the sister in the thumbnail isn't the model you've painted. Do you have a link to the original artist that the thumbnail image is taken from?
Ive been painting all of my Sisters as Sacred Rose and I've got a pretty quick way to do the armor that looks good. Spray white, thin to medium layer of apothecary white, edge highlight with white.
I feel deceived by the thumbnail. I feel like using someone else's miniature in the thumbnail and putting text next to it like, "This ____" gives off the representation that the particular mini is yours and that is what we will see as the final product.

Best trick i've found for painting white armor: cut your white paint with a few drops of white ink. This will serve to thin the paint, and provide more even coverage. Alternate between glazing in this mix, and a thinned out wash, my preference is 1:1 black with purple, or green, to establish shadows, and just keep glazing up until you get to a result you like. The paint should be adherent enough to stay where you put it, and maintain your shadows, and thin enough to not leave texturing behind. It's a little time consuming, but it's a good path to consistent results.
That countdown felt like approaching insanity, incarnate. Next week with Hobby with Oli: "I start hearing the voices of the Dark Ones, as I continue my Odyssey in painting with white..."

Some day I'll commit to painting an army with white armour, but it won't be soon. My yellow-and-red Daughters of Khaine are bad enough! Fun tho. Your sisters look great but definitely a longer term project.
I have a super uber cheat code to white. Basecoat Kantor blue all over the model and then spray white from above with an airbrush or rattle can. That's it.
good video, if i do pure white (which I can get Extremely white as white can be) takes time... I layer up grey, silver grey, off white, dead white, then white.... I forget exactly i havent done for awhile...
I think in terms of speed absolutely! Drybrushing and me haven't got on the best in the past but maybe I just need the right method! Cheers for the suggestion
if you're looking for speed an airbrush is hard to beat :P if you, for whatever reason, can't use an airbrush, spraying the model grey and then white from above, and a drybrush of white seems like a very fast option too, althouth not as clean :P

I've been enjoying painting my custodies because I literally just use the base primer coat as my gold armor (with some dry brushing and washes on top) and the majority of the time is spent painting small details and trying to use the acrylic nail polish I stole from my roommate for the power weapons ( they sparkle under the light now and look cool). I'm thinking about going back to my sisters after but I'm not sure about how much time I want to put in on them. Do you think if I prime them with a nice black, I can get the armor almost done with that? Do you think painting in white can be done with the same way. Simply sprucing up and adding to the undercoat primer layer instead of painting over it.
Think black could be a good candidate for some drybrushing! I'd also recommend priming with a very dark grey so you've got black to fall back on for washes. Best of luck fellow follower of the divine God-emperor!
Just a heads up, Golden makes a line of interference paints that are great for getting a pretty colored metallic sheen on that kind of stuff. Mix it with a different color of paint, or ink, and you can do some really snazzy stuff... Like a red surface that reflects intensely blue at a given angle.
TH-cam expectations causing shivers down my back... Those three models look amazing, and I don't think it fair that it's somehow "lesser" because you didn't get them all done. I'm amazed at the productivity some mini painters manage in a week, but it's not realistic for the majority of us.
mate, i dunno what your plan is for this channel, but using someone else's mini in the thumbnail along with a title that effectively says you painted it, is not a very good way of building an audience of satisfied viewers. if you're trying to build a drama-channel based on views, dislikes and comments like this one, i guess you're on the right path though. i clicked on this video because i saw an extremely well painted sister of battle in a nice, crisp colour scheme - yeah, well about that... looking at your other videos it doesn't seem like you've painted any of the minis shown in the thumbnail, yet most of them have equally deceiving titles. feels like you're treading dangerously close to plagiarism here, mate.

My sisters army is going to be white armor and pink cloths. I've only done a Rhino and couple of girls. My friends call it The Susan G Koman army.
Can you do white armour with drybrushing? First shades of grey and than finally white? Would speed up the process immensely.

That's the thing about painting armors in general, a chalky looks absolutely ruins it for me.
