Great video, I have a question though. When I record a phrase and then overdub it, the overdub always cuts off and repeats when I get to the end of the first phrase. Is there any way that I can overdub with a phrase longer than the one before it? Hope that makes sense
Hi, Ben. With any looper pedal that has a single loop that you overdub, your subsequent loops will have to be played in the same amount of time as the first one. In other words, if you know your overdub is going to be longer, you'll need to record an initial loop that is long enough for the overdub. If you need the loops to be different lengths then you'd need to look at something like the RC500, which gives your three completely independent loopers. Thanks for your interest! Charlie Davis, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1320, charlie_davis@sweetwater.com
Hi, eliobou. The rhythm tracks on the RC5 will be going from both outputs if the pedal is hooked up in stereo. If you run it in mono, it would go from just the A output. Thanks for your interest! Charlie Davis, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1320, charlie_davis@sweetwater.com
If you still prefer Boss then the RC-1 is a great place to start. It's just a basic, straightforward looper and nothing more. And it's $100 cheaper than the RC-5.

Problem is, this pedal belongs on the floor. The drum beats are not easily accessible due to menu diving. I can't bend over all day pushing buttons and navigation menus with a guitar on my lap and a middle-aged gut. So, I don't use all the features and I might as well just have the RC-1.
Great question! There is not a way to do that on the RC-5, however the RC-10R does allow for up to 50 user rhythms: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RC10R--boss-rc-10r-rhythm-loop-station-pedal The BeatBuddy may also be worth looking into if you are interested in more customization than even that: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/BeatBuddy--singular-sound-beatbuddy-drum-machine-pedal Feel free to reach out with any other questions.
