    I hope PETE gets this message. I’m care giving for a mother who’s health is slowly diminishing. This video & the other videos of u teaching Looping (smoothie, Mayer.., fragile..) has helped me make it through the day and night when my heart is feeling heavy, your music helps me emotionally let it all out. I either listen or try to play without waking the wife. Thank you again man. You are helping the world more than you know , one pentatonic scale at a time. #Mahalo @KustardMustard

    For those of you they wont spent/have so much money for Oktaver + Synth Pedal in the Chain i highly recommend TC' s sub'n'up. There are great "organsounds" in this Pedal. (Tone Print) I use it for Bass (classic setting) and Organ (default toneprint) for my practice loops. That changed my practice and noodling routine.
    Great Video as allways. Thanx.

    • @spongebrainsqueezepants7175
      @spongebrainsqueezepants7175 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the Sub n Up is awesome. I was psyched to stumble on a really good Hammond-like sound. Dial in the upper octave at full, guitar sound at about 2 o'clock-ish, and the lower 8ve at about 9 o'clock-ish. Tweek until it sounds right. Depending on how much gain/OD you pump into it, it can sound like an organ or a combination of guitar and organ for all your Deep Purple cover needs.
      TonePrint looks cool, but I still need to check it out.

    • @luckyllou7325
      @luckyllou7325 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@spongebrainsqueezepants7175 yeah there ' re awsome sounds in. Tone print is very easy to use but for me the default tone print sound works the best for organ-like sounds.

    I like a lot about this but I ended up getting a Nux JTC Drum & Loop Pro. It doesn't have the nice displays and menu that this does but it has a lot of the rhythm track/drum fill capabilities, doesn't enforce a cymbal hit at the end of every loop and was cheaper. I imagine Boss could do something about the cymbal thing with a firmware though e.g. make it a switchable option.

    Question (note: not sure if I am explaining this correctly or using the right terms or not):
    Let say I want to make a percussive loop with an electric guitar and not use the drum function, can I record a short percussive loop, then record an overdub that is longer than the length of the percussive loop?
    Example:
    - I want to build the verse section of Hotel California (taking this song as an example since probably everyone knows that the chords progression is on the long-ish side of modern songs).
    - Can I first record a short percussive loop with my electric guitar, and then...
    - Proceed to record an overdub playing the verse of the song (Bm, F#, A, E....... F#)?
    A little background info: I am currently using the BOSS RC30 and for me to do the above, I would have to play the percussive loop with the same length of the verse chord progression, which is time consuming and super boring.

    What sold me (after looking for hours/days on YT) was--- drum sound quality / price to feature to compactness. Have owned probably 5-8 loopers in lifetime, maybe this one will be a good one. Some loopers can be too complex or the drum sounds are vibe kill. Really digging the sound of this pedal. Lastly, Pete is 'the guy' to watch a looper demo. Thanks man!

    hey Pete I bought an RC5 and I'm disappointed there is no "extended loop" kinda mode on it. I want to be able to record a 1 bar percussive track and then loop something longer over it, but the loop length seems to be limited to the length of the first loop. Is there any way around this? Or any other loop pedal I should look into instead? Does the RC10 fix this issue? Otherwise I might just get a second small looper to put in front of the RC5 for shorter loops

    Interesting that its called RC-10R and not RC-200 even though it has the same form factor as the other 200 series pedals (md200, DD200 etc)

    Why why why didn’t they put an XLR input on the back for vocals.
    Not too bad if your using an external effects pedal but would have been a nice addition for vocalists.
    If you wanna see about dual-mono looping, sending the right and left to different places, I did a video explaining this - enjoy

    Question about the Octave Pedal. The guitar was pitched down with the octave pedal OC-3. I've heard that you can't plug a Bass Guitar into a guitar amp, as you'll potentially damage the speaker. If that's true would the same not be true of the pitch shifted guitar into a guitar amp?

    Damn I felt that transition at 4:32 so much. The fill coming in really sold it to me.
