    Excellent video. This is exactly what I need. My daughter gave me this looper last Christmas and I played with it for about 2, 3 weeks :-) after watching so many tutorials. You have summarized the key functions in a few minutes and other details like foot pedal use, and backing tracks download. The triad exercise is great and I think it will help me recognize the triads all over the fretboard and keeping up with the rhythm. Thanks again and excuse me as I have to go look for that looper and hook it up :-) You're the best!!!

    Great review, I agree and wish you could globally change the settings like Loop & Rhythm volumes. One tip, push down and turn knob and the increments go in 10's rather than 1's when changing levels

    • @GuitarZero2Hero
      @GuitarZero2Hero  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The trick is really just pushing the pedal down at the right time. If you had a loop that was Am - F, you’d start that loop on the first strum of your Am and then stop the loop at the very same strum on the next repetition - doing so ensures no gaps in the loop. Hope that makes sense.

    First of all ...... great playing! I've had MANY loopers, three this year alone..... boss my favorite. I've purchased two RC-5 about a year apart. This second one seems to have a volume issue with the drum tracks being excessivly LOUD! since I never experienced the problem with the first RC-5 ..... I'm gluessing the second one might be damaged? I have tried finding a global volume control with no avail. I ran a factory reset twice, with no change. I hate to sell it and pass on the problem to someone else, I also hate to take a $175 dollar loss! Any thoughts?

    Great video and tutorial. have a Boss RC3 and am looking to upgrade. Nothing too fancy and just wanting (1) more beats (2) to be able to see where I am in the loop and (3) ability to set / dial in an exact tempo (rather than tap tempo). Had my eye on the RC5 for a while but now interested in the new Nux Loop Core Stereo. Has what I want and seems simpler. But just wondering given big price differential how it stacks up against the RC5 - recording quality and also beat quality. Any replies and assistance greatly appreciated in advance.

    Dude, thank you, I have been playing for about 50 years. Looping is a new area of discovery and experimentation for me. Have messed around with the DD7 and it's 40 seconds and then decided to get this RC-5 as well as the FS-6 (these two pedals arriving hopefully this week) going into the 100Mk II. I have watched many videos so a lot of what you discuss was already known to me (you did say skip to the end :p) This was super informative and put over in a clear, concise way and the exercises at the end are great. Cheers for your efforts, appreciate it!!

    I come from the infinity looper and I change few days ago to the boss rc 5 because I reduce the side of my pedalboard. I use ableton as a midi master clock for the looper and I use to Record at the start of the next measure after the switch has been pressed. That's work perfect in the infinity but I don't see this option in the Boss. How can I do this or similar with the RC 5?

    Excellent video as always mate! Been playing guitar for 10 months now ready to up my game with a looper, think it will be a valuable practice tool, as your videos have been so valuable to me learning songs can’t thank you enough. Will just like to ask, can you upload .wav files for backing tracks for actual songs and/or is it better to play backing tracks through a separate speaker will the sound quality be better. I heard in a previous video playing music through the amp can damage the speaker is this true it’s so confusing.

    • @GuitarZero2Hero
      @GuitarZero2Hero  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Derek. I’d probably suggest playing backing tracks through a seperate speaker or through an amp that has full range sound like positive grid spark which is designed for backing tracks :) if you’re playing through a regular tube amp, it’ll be ok but not ideal

    Thanks for a great video. You rarely see in depth reviews/demonstration on youtube like you show its awsome. As a beginner in electric guitars i wonder if you have a video about play and how to connect your guitar direct into a computer and use your hifi system. I only use a combo amp but i want to learn how to connect everything direct to the pc. Its hard to find videos about that when every demos always its already set up and they always just show some plugins with soundexamples. I want to learn this from start, how to connect everything (showing) and what kind of gear i must have. Maybe even learn some recording. I know theres a lot of equipment but i hope you can make a video about this for more beginner players so i can go further from that. Or if you can recomend videos about this subject more in depth. Thanks for a great video and a great channel

      @GuitarZero2Hero  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Hakan! Thanks for your kind comment :) I've got a video that might answer a few questions - th-cam.com/video/5LGfxDgHl4I/w-d-xo.html
      It's not super in depth but gives you a good start. If you have an amp that has USB recording features, that's the easiest. But the next best thing is to get an audio interface like a Focusrite Scarlett and then plug your electric into there. You'll then need a Guitar amp simulator on your computer. If you have a mac, garageband has one built in already :)
      Cheers
      Dave
