Thanks for the Intro, covers a lot of useful things! I have a question though: Is it possible to control, or rather toggle the drum kits via an external footswitch? If so, would I need a MIDI footswitch for that or would a regular one like Boss FS-6 do the trick? I know that this scenario might not be the most common but I'd like to have the option to have the rhythm section not kick in as soon as I begin recording, but say as the second or third layer of the loop.
@@ScottPhillipsCreative I have not bought either but from what I gathered afterwards a MIDI footswitch is the only solution. There are small ones like the MIDI Baby by Desaster but they are quite pricey
At the beggining of the video, how did you manage the loop not to record immediately after the button was pressed, but, the record started when precisely you started playing guitar?
How has it been for you!! I got to mess around with one at my friends house the other day and I liked it so much that I ended up buying it. Definitely a huge upgrade from the 50 dollar one I’ve been using for the past while.
Will this looper sync the drums to a loop? Example If i play a basic loop first, then can you just sync the drums to the loop you just previously played, or do you have to start drums first, then loop your loop???? 👍
I upgraded from RC-3 last November and I had about 20 songs recorded and saved. I play full backing with tempo set, guitar, bass then extra guitar. I noticed recently that even though they were saved it put the generic beat under the songs in the incorrect tempo! I put a lot of effort into these and now they’re useless. I’m very very angry now as it seems this thing scrambled and botched my tracks for some reason. Anybody else experience this?
Excellent overview. I just had a session with mine for the first time and found it pretty frustrating. Hence the video search. This was excellent. Boss should thank you for making this. Probably save a lot of returns. One Question - when I created a loop, the playback was louder than my guitar through the amp. How I set the playback to be at a lower volume than my guitar? Is it possible?
You click on the loop level button, there should be written "loop level" on the screen, if not click another time, and then turn it anticlockwise, normally it should work
How do you play some clean tones, save it then switch your amp to gain without changing the clean tone previously saved, without it switching to gain tone as well?
Question: Where the looper output goes In? Because drum sound in my Fender Reverb Deluxe seems to be really weird for me especially with the tremolo on.🤣

I have tried finding a global volume control with no avail. I ran a factory reset twice, with no change. I hate to sell it and pass on the problem to someone else, I also hate to take a $175 dollar loss! Any thoughts?
A question: just transferred loops to my laptop for the first time. No problems. Only - The drums are missing. Is there anyway to get them included into the wav file so to speak?

I just got one but it may be faulty? The looper is very loud and with my guitar full on it is barely audible over the looper. The "Loop Level" doesn't make any difference from zero to 100. Shouldn't that be the way to turn down the looper volume?
I come from the infinity looper and I change few days ago to the boss rc 5 because I reduce the side of my pedalboard. I use ableton as a midi master clock for the looper and I use to Record at the start of the next measure after the switch has been pressed. You can put the distortion into your amp then with a patchcable to the looper and then in the guitar I think. Make sure you first put the cable from your amp in the distortion pedal tho because if your first put the looper it won’t record with the distortion pedal
Also, is there a way to send the drum beat out to output A and have output B with no drums? I am connected to a guitar amp and bass amp and don't want the drums coming out of the Output B bass amp
