  • Between the Mavic Air 2, Mavic Pro 2, and the Mavic Mini, have you wondered which of these drones per gram of body weight can lift up the most? Which of these drones is the strongest Mavic? Well that my friend is what we went out to test today. I’ll also give you all the details on what you need to do to enter our current giveaway, which has some really fantastic prizes!
    June 1 Update: I had a whoops with my math in my Mavic Pro 2 report: 907 grams + 100 grams = 1007 grams (NOT the 1107 I said in the video). Plus the additional 30 grams puts the Mavic Pro 2 at 1037 Total lifting power. Thanks all for pointing this out to me!

      I bet Mavic Air did the best it lifted 260g whereas the Mavic pro just lifted 230g.

      Great video but here are other few things to consider:
      1. the length of the “cord” remember the length reduce force. 2. The material of the “cord”. The less elasticity the best, because elasticity will affect stabilization. 3. The power of all three drones measured individually based on the weight carried. 4. How long they stay in the air and a base height! 5. Lastly power consumption of each drone. Great video still I enjoyed it!

      Thank you it was. Like I mentioned, this scoring is in the gray here. To many variables to nail exact: wind, fresh battery and engine heat were all contributors to final scores. Engine heat and wind are the two big ones.

      The length has nothing to do except the weight added by the cord itself.

    • @josecolon8143
      @josecolon8143 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Erwin Ried wrong! The length is to the utmost importance. Don’t forget that length equals distance and distance affects force even more when all three motors are different in power and energy consumption.

    • @eried
      @eried 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Based on your assumption: would you be able to pull more weight having a shorter rope?

    • @josecolon8143
      @josecolon8143 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Erwin Ried no that’s not what I’m implying please elucidate! You are smarter than that but you are focusing on arguing! 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @josecolon8143
      @josecolon8143 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Erwin Ried the length is important bcs it swings (regardless of weight being carried). Have you seen a helicopter carrying a tank? Whats the distance from the helicopter to the cargo? Does the length has any possible relation to avoid opposing force? Now take it from there and think in a positive manner! Stay safe, best wishes! 🙏

    Thanks for the useful lift test! Can you share some insight on how adding payload impacts the flight time? For example, most of these have 30-34 mins of flight time. How much does it decrease by say if we add say 200g of payload to each?

  • @patrickoneill1011
    @patrickoneill1011 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    When a drone carries a payload, its own weight is a factor in how much it can carry. You'll see transport freight helicopters that have massive power and the fuselage is mostly gutted and a simple frame is constructed. Payload weight is always an important consideration especially when engineering a freight lifting aircraft. This is called power to weight ratio. The Mavic 2 has slightly stronger motors than the Mavic Air 2, but again the weight of the Mavic 2 is alot heavier than the Air 2. The better lifting aircraft would be the lighter Air 2 even with the same payload weight used on the Mavic 2. It's not surprising that the winner is the Mavic Air 2!
