    Is an exception when a TH-cam says things that make sense also for a professional and don't give wrong or misleading dangerous information.
    Congratulations for the quality of your contents, bravo.

    The best thing is that as of 2023, the Mavic Air 2/S now works with the RM 500 Smart Controller, which really ups the game! I love my Mini 2 and Air 2.

    I didn't have to charge the batteries one by one the first time. They charged in the 3 dock charger not all at once but sequentially. It is the best drone I've ever flown

    • @ConnorRickey
      @ConnorRickey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, they will always charge sequentially. My batteries would not even charge sequentially on the dock. Had to go 1 at a time. Weird...

    • @Mark-ix8rz
      @Mark-ix8rz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ConnorRickey I bought a charging dock for my DJI Spark that can charge 4 batteries and a rechargeable controller at the same time. Bought one from the same company for the Mavic Air 2. Much better than the charger that comes with it. At 35 bucks it's a heck of a buy

    Very good and comprehensive video. One little thing, though: there is no need to first-time charge the batteries on the single charge cable. The multi charger works fine. The batteries will be charged consecutively, one after the other until fully charged, never at the same time. That appears to be the same with any DJI battery in any device. I have a DJI Spark where the same happens - one battery gets charged until full then it rotates to the next.

    Rickey, in the compass calibration, DJI says you have to keep the drone vertical and then rotate it 360 degrees in the longitudinal axis. I can really see that you rotate the drone on the side and then rotate the drone 360 degrees. It is not prescribed that way!

    2. only use .mov if you use apple. It's a format not entirely compression.
    3. If you have a high end GPU .h265 video files are half the size with the same quality for 4K. Older GPUs might have issues playing these back.

    I got the Air 2 to play with and learn until the Mavic 3 arrives in early spring. I hear both good and bad about it, but we will have to wait until it arrives on the shelves to know for sure what it is... I have my gimbal setting for tripod mode set very slow (can’t remember the exact number, away from my drone for the next few days). That’s because when I’m in that mode I’m usually shooting for those slow, cinematic movements. Then normal and sport mode I leave as it comes from DJI since if I’m flying the drone faster, I’m usually doing quicker gimbal pans for a more dramatic shot.

    Awesome video. Why do you think I continue to get choppy video, or my video keeps freezing on me? I've changed the SD cards a few times already. I've even tried a different phone. I just keep getting bad videos and don't know how to fix it. I appreciate the help and time. Thanks

      Are you shooting in auto or manual camera settings? It sounds like your shutter speed is too high and you need an ND filter.

      @@ConnorRickey thanks for the response. I do use filters. I'm not sure about the shutter speed.

      I'm going to try and redo it all again. Thanks for the help.

      One more thing, I'd tried to download the 5 steps video that you are offering, but I can't download it.

      @@MrRaymond1021 Email hello@connorrickey.com and we'll send it to you. Make sure your shutter speed is 1/50 if you're shooting in 24p. Or 1/60 if filming in 30p. Shutter speed needs to be DOUBLE (or very close) your frame rate. If not, it'll look choppy like you are describing to me.

    Just a question - does using airplane mode mean less demands on the iphone battery? I find my 6S getting very low ie 80% to 20% after a few short flights.

      I’m sure it could help, I’m unsure about how much.. that’s quite the battery drain! Maybe consider upgrading phones, or get a portable battery pack to charge with in between flights? I believe the controller will charge your phone. But maybe that’s only on the Mavic pro and 2S.

    I've got Air 2. There's a lot on noise when shooting in D-Cine. So I prefer using a Normal mode.

    What are your go to ND filters if I don’t have any and budget is tight?

    • @ConnorRickey
      @ConnorRickey  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Freewell makes good filters. Or buy the DJI ones directly from DJI. If you have $700-$1,000 to spend on your drone, I'd highly suggest investing $50-$100 on good ND filters.
