Lexus SC430 Rebuild - Part 05 - Finishing metal work

This video shows completion of the repairs to the metal work, including (attempting to) welding the broken seams.
The next video will show adding filler, smoothing, primer painting, then assembly. That will leave us where I am today (8/4/2021).

Looking good! Wish I had the time to do mine instead of the body shop. The work you do personally is worth the gratification! Definitely do some bumper test fits to see how the lines matchup before and during the Bondo/glazing. I noticed mine is a little wavy where the fender meets the bumper.

I did countless test fits before the bondo went on, so I got things lined up pretty well. Unfortunately, I forgot to align the metal that the bumper bracket attaches to, so I had to do a lot of modification to the bracket to make it right. My only problem now is that the corner touching the tail light moves out a quarter inch when the bumper gets hot from the sun, then moves back by itself. Won't be as big of an issue once the bumper is painted silver, but I'd like to get it figured out.
