  • I thought I would video the troubleshooting and repair process of my iRobot Scooba. It was failing to pump cleaning solution, so was throwing an error. After fixing it, I gave it a prime with a turkey baster and it worked great.

I got one that was only used once, i had to do what you did. It seems that i need to exercise and add water to those tubes. Had to run it for a bit, after that it seems fine. Shame that irobot canned this model

I had a different problem. It was a problem with the output thing. I put some tubing on the hole and it was clogged! I removed the tubes but they were all fine. There was a clog in the black part so I just kept pumping water through the tubing that I put in and eventually pushed out whatever was clogging it. My scooba is drying in the sun now because I accidentally got it wet in the process but I think it will finally work once I have everything put back together *fingers crossed* Thanks for the video!

Good work! I wonder if some mold grew in the tube to clog it.

Please help ! For the very first time, I can't close my Scooba. For some reason, the lock mecanism is not doing his job. I can show you a video if needed. Can't find anything on TH-cam regarding this issue.

Did you ever have to work on the AC adaptor connector in the iRobot. I haven't seen a post or video on that. Wanted to see what I was getting into...ya know before i get into it.

I've never had to replace that jack. It will be a lot easier to replace if it is not connected to the main board. I'll have to take a look at mine to see how it works.

Too bad I cannot find any parts for my 450. Vacuum motor is rusted shut and water pump doesn't do jack. Would like to buy new, but from where?

EDIT: A recent commenter (in Russian) stated that the motors are cheap to buy and can be replaced. Might be worth looking into.
Your best bet would be to buy another broken one for parts on ebay. There is another option. Try to take the motor out of the pump without breaking anything. With luck, the motor will be a standard type/size and you could just buy a generic one. However, the fact that your motor rusted means there was probably a bad seal in the pump that you would have to look at.

My Scooba 390 ALL warning lights flash when I turn it on., will not stop flashing. Will not start. What could be wrong?

Does it beep too? If it does, count the number of beeps. It will indicate what the error is (reference online or in the manual)

sadly for me its the lack of suction..... completely dry return tank.... guess i have to go deeper. ^_^

Do you hear the vacuum blower running? It should be noticeable. If it IS running, then you probably have a seal out of place in one of the areas where the vacuum line mates with another part. If a big enough leak exists, suction will not be strong enough to lift the water from the floor.

Там ломаться нечему. Разбираем эту помпу и ремонтируем. Шестерни простые, мотор ещё проще стоит 1 доллар. Ремонтиркеся все на раз

I translated the above comment: "There is nothing to break there. We disassemble this pump and repair it. The gears are simple, the motor costs $ 1 even easier. Repaired everything at once"

I didn't realize the motor was so cheap to source. Thanks for sharing!
