I am one of those Apple users you mention. I (up until yesterday) used Apple everything. iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple TV. But I got bored of never getting excited when I got a new phone. It should be exciting, but that feeling wasn't there anymore. I've had iPhone since the VERY first one. But yesterday I took delivery of my Samsung Z Fold5. So far, I am absolutely LOVING it. I've never used Android before, so taking some getting used to. But regardless, I love it.
im in the same boat, just traded in my Iphone 13 for a fold 5. This thing is great.
@@JBS_IT couldn't agree more buddy. I'm 10 days in, and I couldn't love this phone more. I don't think I have yet come across a single iPhone feature that I miss. I wonder how many iPhone users Apple are loosing ATM, as I have come across SO many people who have made the same switch as we have. I think they are loosing a LOT of people. Apple need to get their act together and come out with a folding. People really want folding phones.
@HarryDunlopClark I agree man, apple needs to sort out their pricing as well. The cost of an apple computer is outrageous. 1000$ for a mid tier laptop, while that same amount spent on a windows device yields double the specs if not more. So far this fold has been really useful! I Gave a presentation on it, remote accessed my server hardware, and made a little test game in a python ide. 10/10 experience

@@johnwest5008 Nah. Even iPhone lovers admit you have to go back to the 11 to see a significant difference between models. I have both the Fold5 and 15 Pro Max. The Pro Max is nice, to be sure, but it's just another iPhone; not my daily.

Nice video although i disagree abuut the Fold not being "refined". I have the older Fold 4 and have had zero issues regarding software, bugs, lag or anything else. Sure the cameras could be on the same level as the S23, but my Fold 4 runs great and to me is very refined.
I'm a fold user from the 3 through the 5. These are fair and personal. That's what I like. Less technical jargon of processor vs processor and more in hand daily takes. Technical but daily driver decisions made.
Loved the Note Phones back in the Days, switched to Iphone 13 Pro 2 Years ago, never was that happy with my decision. Now i bought me the Z Fold 5, and i must say, for me, its a great experience. I love the Phablet-Feeling all Day, every Day.
BUT i bought the Spigen Tough Armor Pro P (Kickstand + S Pen Holder + Spigen!!!).....with that it is kind of a Brick, but i love this case on my Fold 5.
The Iphone never could give me that satisfaction honestly.

Great video. What stops me from ever switching is not the typical “innovation” back and forth nonsense. It’s my own lack of completely understanding the system I’ve been using for years, FORGET ABOUT learning a new one from scratch! These modern phones probably have a thousand features. We’ve all seen those “I switched” videos where the creator is going off because the new one doesn’t do this or that and the comments are saying “SHUT UP idiot it does do this or that- a different way”. I’ve been stabbing my screen for years trying to get the cursor to move precisely between two letters when a friend recently told me the space bar moves the cursor. I’m sure I’m not the only one. I wish more creators would put some emphasis like YOU on how to use helpful features and functions.
I agree I wish more creators would add system features along with these type of videos nobody wants to see all about features nor photos but a combo of all of it is amazing. If only we could get that from a creator like CJ

definitely thinking of switching from apple to Samsung next year. I love the ease of use when it comes to apple and the continuity feature that apple has is bar none. But would love to try a new system and see how it compares may just add another phone to my plan and see how it goes.

Don't go too quickly. I had an iphone 12 pro max. Now i am using an zfold 5 for two weeks.
Let me tell you, yes, i love it BUT the inner screen scratches very easily. So if you're having longer nails you will spend a lot of money to replace the inner screen foil.
The battery... you just can't compare iphone to samsung. You can't. I had 3 samsung phones then i got my first iphone. Well i'm back to samsung now but i'm not completly sold yet.
The phone isn't that smooth as people say it is. The camera ... also hmm.
The camera quality is "worse" but you have skin smoothening and all sorts of face filters inbuilt. That said you can also make your skin darker or lighter.
If that all is not a problem to you then go for it. 1800.- :)
How is it that Apple is easy to use when you can't even transfer a video file from your computer to the phone? With Android you just plug in and copy and paste like any other file.
Also with Apple you can't download videos from the internet to your phone. With Android you can download anything anywhere
@@XuanNguyen-fo4lj I can transfer a video file from my computer to iPhone because I have apple everything so it makes everything very seamless and easy. There is plenty to love about android but apple makes it so you can set it and forget it. Everything in the apple eco system is built and designed to be seamless that’s why I love it. When I had android it was cumbersome and not all that user friendly. The older I get the less likely I am to want to use cables to attach to phones to transfer anything and to have go through the whole jailbreaking thing just to use a phone. So like I said android has merits but apple has merits as well

This is exactly what i was waiting for thanks so much bro. I have the s23 ultra and I prefer it but I tested the 15 pro max and I'll admit the low light camera is great but still the samsung capabilities are more fun to use. The phone im excited for is next year z fold 6. Also with the iphone It can't really multi task, in screen fingerprint scanner, superior thermal management, use copy and paste clipboard, run emulators for old school games and new games , use s pen stylus functionality with gestures , download anything from anywhere at anytime, use smart view projection nor anything like DEX projection , wireless powershare which comes in handy when you forget charger , similar charging speeds etc with Samsung once I experienced those features I just can't live without them
I do mis my romhacks when I had an android. All the snes gba games was cool having on ur phone. Sadly can’t do that with my iPhone

@@morm2173 not switch. SNES old school Super Nintendo. They even had ps1 stuff like silent hill re2 it’s been years tho. Site was called romhacks They literally had any old school system to play thru emulator on ur phone. I still have an old cheap android with n64 Zelda ocarina of time. Was totally playable. Played the entire game

I went from an iPhone 13 to ZFold5. Its a total different user experience. I have never been excited about a phone since the first iPhone. The ZFold5 is by far a more superior phone.

This is an excellent and (in my opinion) fair comparison. When you were talking about "vivid" photos I thought about when I first got my Note 20 and didn't realize why my pictures didn't quite look right.....When I get tired of my 20, I'll probably stick with Samsung only because I am somewhat lazy and don't want to learn a new system.

I had a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and switched to an iPhone 14 Pro Max a few days ago. First iPhone I’ve had in several years. My experience with the Z Fold was terrible. Weird aspect ratios and when typing, while using the small screen I was constantly hitting the wrong keys, and when typing on the big screen I was having to stretch my fingers way too much to be able to type comfortably, even in portrait orientation, and I have big hands. Dust was gets caught in the hinges and cause the phone to not be able to open all the way, with no surefire way to clean without taking the phone apart. Don’t even get me started about how fragile they are. Foldables, especially the Z Fold series are amazing and innovative don’t get me wrong, but the technology is simply not there yet. It’s honestly ridiculous how fragile of a device you get for that much money. So far the 14 Pro Max hasn’t disappointed me. As of yet it is far superior to my old Z Fold 3 in so many ways. Before anyone jumps my case, I prefer to buy new phones once they’ve been out for a year or so. Gives me time to see if they’re worth me spending my hard earned money on.

There's no need to stretch your fingers to type there's a feature where you split the keyboard to type. I'm still rocking my fold 3 dropped it couple of times up to this point still hold up pretty tanky. Can't wait for fold 6
What's fun is to try new tech. And i've used both iPhones and Android phones this year, and i'm currently on the fold 5 now, and i'm impressed. The narrow outer screen is great for most tasks on the run, and when i need a bigger screen/tablet i can unfold it. The software is made perfectly for the Fold, and even Google's own apps seem to work more seamlessly on fold than their own Pixel phone. We can thank the competition between all these companies for all the new innovation. There's pros and cons with every thing. I guess, if i could merge the batterylife and other features from iPhone with multiple Android phones and the best from that world, i would have got the best phone in the world. So in a sense, there is no phone that is "the best", since they all are limited to what each individual person needs. Gotta love testing them all out though.

I've always had an iPhone and an android phone simultaneously. Most recent duo were going from the iPhone X and a Galaxy note 20 ultra to the iPhone 12 pro max and a Galaxy V Fold 3, which is the current duo.
My initial plan was to transition to the iPhone 14 pro and a Fold 5, but then the iPhone 15s launch with USB-C, now I'm thinking the lightening phones will age auicker as a result.
Now I'm thinking wait a bit and see what the iPhone 16 does over the 15s, and also what the fold 6 turns out to be.
Another part of me wants to call it quits with running dual phones and pick one OS. Android wins, and it's not even close (once again, I've used the iPhone 5,6,7,X,XR, 12 pro max before the fanboys come at me) .
Seeing what Sammy did with the S23 Ultra, the S24 ultra would be the most likely candidate if going single device is the chosen route.
Apple really needs to look into multitasking with their iOS at the very least!

No, but it breaks if your fold fall on the ground..🤦. Like mine week ago...625€ cost new inside screen, so I'm definitely buying new one. Will sell old one. I like fold experience so I'm buying fold 5 now.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is my 2nd Galaxy Fold device, and I could never go back to a candy bar type phone. The Fold 5 is a beautiful piece of technology.
I have zero regrets going with the fold5… much bigger screen size and I am a power user when it comes to online serfing and I always have multiple tabs open on my laptop etc.

How do you get icloud mail to the fold 5 & imessage to the fold 5? Asking for a friend
there's no icloud mail or imessage... it is all in your Apple mindset. Email is simply email, there should be no boundaries... just configure as usual. iMessage is a standard of Apple only, and soon it will be open to everyone... because text is text for everyone, it should not only be for Apple users. Ex. have you tried sending or receiving a PDF Manual from an iphone to another non-iphone user?? you can't!! Why.... ask Apple, maybe they can tell you. We on the contrary can share anything over text. ;-)

However, I still am a bit curious as to what Google is gonna do with the Pixel 8 tomorrow because it may give me a slight idea of what to expect from the Pixel Fold 2.

I don't think there is a better, there is what's best for you. For me, it's the Z Fold 5, I love it! But I'm an engineer and not a fan of Apple's ecosystem. However, for less technically proficient types, the Apple system is easier to learn and easier to use.
I currently work in the technical field and 1000 agree with everything you said. I'd go nuts being restricted by the apple ecosystem but I recommend Iphones to my less tech savy friends everyday and twice on Sundays. After being a power Note user for years, I've been ecstatic over my Fold 4. Also for me, no spen, no go.

I also missed multitasking on the iPhone, got this powerful device but couldn’t use its potential. When i saw the OnePlus Open slim design, “lightweight” and multitasking implementation with more apps I was ready too move too 🤖
I have a Fold 5 and it is a complete beast of a phone that gives different capabilities concerning functionality on different levels! Multitasking is 🔥!!!! Only thing that needs some improvement is the cameras, but they probably did this on purpose so Consumer's would buy future phones🤷🏾♂️

I went to the s21 ultra from 10+ years with apple and now have a z fold 4. Love samsung! I always say I'll try the next new iPhone but there has yet been a new iPhone to sway me back... Samsung is the king
I've had the z fold for a bit now. All i can say is that there is no comparison, and the zfold is a productivity machine. I dont think i can go back to a slab style phone after experience the z fold 5.

so went to iPhone 14 Plus loved the battery but just got the 15 pro max and what a spectacular phone
And AirPods Pro 2 and got watch series 8 got to say how much I miss the apple ecosystem

Oooh weee… now that Apple gave me more control, I do not like that pro video app on the Samsung. The forced vibrance and color profile is harsh and over-saturated out of the can. I get why they do that, it’s just not for me.

Funny you said getting bored. I got bored with Samsung note 9 was my last Galaxy. UI got boring customization was boring. I loved all the changes they made to the iPhone UI. Unfolding a phone needs two hands. That something you should have mentioned in user experience. I have absolutely no desire to occupy both hands while I’m using my phone. Nice video though

You should show some PDF document on Fold vs iPhone - 4:3 screen is great for showing so much more information than 16:9 screen - like in web pages, documents, books and so on. I watch my videos on a projector so I'm not interested in how video looks on a phone.
I had the a fold 4 and now I got the 15 pro max… although I love the fold, I opted to buy the new iPhone instead of the a fold 5 because in the year that I had the fold, the hinge broke down on me twice in which I can’t fully open the fold anymore…

It's been 5 weeks since I got my Z Fold 5 or my Z5 as I like to call it. Next to my iPhone 13 Pro it's just a hole different level.
Camera wise, I still consider 13 Pro as having better camera. But I am not a content producer, at least, not a content producer in what relates the visual aspect.
Daily driver, Fold 5 is such a compact device, one hand use, fingerprint, quick text, etc. The design, the elegance of Android / Samsung One UI it just looks and feels different level.
Don't get me wrong, I am an Apple fan and I invested in them from Airpods Pro to iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro etc. They all work great. BUT this is the difference for me: Apple just gets the things done and that's it whereas Samsung gets the things done but in style, elegant, fancy, whatever you want to describe it, but also offering enjoyment of utility not just "basic skills".
😬 Now this is what I been waiting for. I give up my iPhone, Watch, and headphones for everything samsung. Was carrying a iPhone and samsung but my fold 5 so good I feel like it's no need to carry 2 phones no more.

I’ve been looking at the Fold 5 but the 15 Pro Max is better in every area I need from a phone. Power, cameras, build, battery life and has a much ecosystem.
I also value my privacy and that’s one of the reasons I stopped using Android phone about 3 years ago.

Z fold 5 saves me the ability to use it as a digital note book is legitimately life saving I love it and if you have the money and want something new go for it!
He didnt mention the split screen multitasking capability of the zfold, free samsung tv, much bigger ecosystem, samsung makes tvs and other household appliances.

Indeed, less busy... I have a Samsung Tablet and I have not touched it since I bought the Fold, maybe only when I need to let go off the finger typing and use the keyboard/mouse with the tablet... but otherwise the Fold has been my everything-everyday phone.
Before I got the Fold 5, I thought my hands would be too big (I have big hands) for it in folded mode. I find it nice and comfy holding and texting on it. Same in tablet mode. The split keyboard makes it so much easier to text, and I'm enjoying the experience. I don't need to try an iphony to compare it with, my mom has one and I get tired of her asking me to help her with it every time I see her. 85 percent of the time I ask her where is the back button, and why does it keep moving?!

True story man... my whole family asks me sometimes how to do this and that... the iphone is so complicated in many ways.... one of those being trying to just go back on a stuck app (no back button).... why do you need to close it and start all over?? Another issue is sharing certain things... in an email for example... it is so complicated. Looking for a document from long time ago? forget about it... it is a PITA. Well... let's see what else we can read about iPhony lovers that we can laugh at.

It’s probably so stupid but I wanna wait until Christmas to get iPhone 15 pro. But BUT I have a iPhone 14 pro max.. I know the comments are gonna think I’m dumb. But this phone at first feels high class good. Until you get the fingerprints and realize this phone is a lil heavy in your hand and pocket and the charging port gets easily dirty to the point it can not charge. So I gotta clean the crap outta it. A lot of people said “it’s your money” and some people said “it’s not worth it” but after watching so many vids idk if I should get it now but wait until Christmas bc software issues n stuff. But a week ago on my bday I went to the Apple Store and LOVED how the 15 felt and looked for it’s color. And I never felt this way towards a phone and plus my trade in deal is 650$ so I’m spending only 360$ or something like that on the iPhone 15 in total. But idk what’s ya guys thoughts?
yo man Nova Launcher is like you say Fire . I was going to get the Z Fold 5 but now I going to wait for the ZFold 6. I 'm working doing a lot of photography so I got a Mac Mini M 2, that's why I was going to get the 15 Pro but I like Android. But I think I'm going to stay with Samsung. Thank you Bro

Im switching to iphone this week. No one talks about the samsung phones having so many issues and them fighting you on every corner for warranty.
Yet.. you have to go to an iPhone store and see lines of people waiting for their repaired phones. You also see more chargers for an iPhone around the house than any other phone combined. Small repair shops are making a 'loot' on replacing iphone screens..... I don't know how many times I have replaced my son's iphone screen... compared to when I had him on an android device, even when both had the screen protector and a touch body protection. ;-)
Samsung has a bad customer service, that's just it. No need to compare it with another company.
As having 14pro max and fold 5 i can say that you cant really compare these two i have to carry both every single time 😂

You sold me on it. I’ve had an iPhone since the 2 and I’m bored. I feel like it’s a mid life crisis. Apple Music knows me and the occasional FaceTime call will be the victim. Oh and having the awful green bubble when I txt my family members. 😂

Such a great comparison. My friend is a T mobile manager and let me view the new phones. Although I like the I phone 15 Max, I am going to wait for the 16 to come. However, comparing these two models here is what I like and dislike about both.
First the I phone 15 Pro Max Pros
New titanium frame makes it feel lighter
5x zoom on the telephoto lens
New USB-C port with USB 3.0 speeds
Cons
No fast charging
Extra $100 price on the base model (though it's now 256GB)
Samsung Z Fold Excellent display
Sturdier hinge that allows it to fold completely flat
Powerful Snapdragon chipset
Cons
It's expensive
Camera quality could be better
Cover screen is narrow.
Consider this, you could go to T Mobile or you could go to Best buy and even with the $100 bump because it is now 256 GB, you are talking a 50% price bump for the Z Fold $1800, that is a difference of $600. COST is something to consider and that is the reason why I am going to go with the I phone 16 Pro Max, when it comes, and upgrade my 14+
Currently got the z fold 4. Not even a year and the hinge started playing up. Wouldnt go flat anymore. Luckly samsung fixed it but it has put me off them. I have now ordered the 15 pro max
