What app did you use for the verse of the day that's on widget?
I got my fold 5 for a bit over a week. I have noticed a clicking sound when opening the phone up. It's about 10 degrees then you hear the clicking noise. Can you please tell me if yours is making the sound. I don't like it, I didn't notice it before, I always keep this phone clean and haven't dropped it or put a single scratch on it yet
I specifically switched to the Fold series because I was tired of massive slabs. This thing fits so good in one hand, and I can hold and use it SECURELY.
Yeah, I have a small hand for a guy. I switched from a note10+ and it's easier to one hand for sure. Ot feels more secure in hand, feels better in my pocket, and I'm a huge media consumer on my phone. The screen is great. I was thinking about a tablet purchase, but decided on the phone as a phone upgrade + tablet and I'm very happy

I agree totally. I like the tall slim feel . One handed operation. The outer screen is enough. If you want the full experience. It's all inside!!
Samsung making the outside screen slimmer and taller has you finding yourelf opening up the phone and using the inside screen way more. With phones with more conventional phone sized cover screens like the pixel fold, you can do almost all you'll need to do on the outer screen and then you'd use the inside screen less which may lead to the consumer wondering why they paid the extra money for the inside screen
That is until the S Pen 🖊 comes into play, where it's only usable for the inside cover display.
I love the inside cover display for video entertainment!

Hmmm, not so sure. Im finding that myself and others are just adapting to the smaller screen and using it more than the inside. When paying $2150 plus tax for a phone (1tb model) we should get a larger screen and have our own decision whether we want to use the inside more. It's supposed to have both and the skinny front really sucks. Samsung Fans need to stop making excuses for the screen and trying to convince themselves that skinny and tall is better. I got news for you, ITS NOT. In no way is this aspect ratio good. It sucks and we deserve better. Stop making excuses.
@@bradcruise6291it's not an excuse long time fold user here from the fold 2,3, and now the fold 5 and after the pixel came out people complained and Samsung made statements once people compared it to the pixel,vivo,Xiaomi folds all have bigger outer displays but "Samsung states the outer screen is for quick task, replies, scrolling pass time and phone calls one handed use. The inner screen is used to unfold and immerse yourself in content,videos,emails and productivity". Which is what makes sense.

When the Z fold 3 came out I bought it and immediately returned it as it didnt match up to the Note I had at the moment. Now I own the S22 and just purchased a ZF5 and cant wait to get into it after watching your video. I think its Foldable time! Lets go
I am using this for 3 weeks. All I can say is this was the best phone I ever use. I always update my iPhone every year but I am not sure if I’ll update my iPhone this year. That one-year old dynamic island on my iPhone 14 Pro Max is useless. Such a gimmick. If iPhone 15 only introduce new titanium body this year, I believe buying Fold 5 is more make sense than upgrading an iPhone.
The outer screen is perfect for one handed use and using the fold as a phone. All other uses are for the inside screen. If used properly The function is perfect for both screens and daily routines.
I can use the s22 ultra perfectly with 1 hand. There's 1 handed mode too for the hard to reach too corner. I use it 10 times a day by just diagonally swiping up with my thumb.(custom goodlock setting) in fact with goodlock one handed is easy even with the ultra models. The fold was supposed to be the note replacement. However we got a bunch of downgrades
@@bradcruise6291 but with this there is zero need for "modes" it's easy one handed use then open for tablet style etc.. When get a fold phone then if you are comfortable switching modes etc..
I went from 14pro max to z fold 5 with the galaxy watch 6 promotion no regrets at all

I've said this before about the outer screen, how amazing it is how so many people rave about the iphone 13 mini and the outer display is about the same width. Love my ZF4 will wait for the F6 to see if it's worth upgrading. Oh and making the keyboard taller like with Gboard helps with the typing as well!
Honestly, even from a zfold 3, it isn't worth upgrading, and zfold or zfold 2 users will be better off upgrading to the zfold 3 or zfold 4, the zfold 5 is such an empty phone that's its hard for me to recommend anyone to spend $800-$1200 extra to get the same phone with almost flat hinge, nightography and the 8 gen 2 for galaxy being 8+ gen 2 equivalent, the difference is small and I'm glad they went with 8+ gen 1 and not the 8 gen 1 that would've caused issues and would've made the zfold 5 a good uograde, the least they could've done is given us a wider outer display and dust resistant, than sell us on the integrated spen and spen support on the front as well as bring s23 ultra camera sensors, I'd rather have that over the s24/s24+ cameras or atleast they could keep the sensors s24/s24+ while adding a 10× parascope zoom from the s24 ultra. Honestly, as much as I love the zfold, what keeps me from buying it is the spen not being integrated and still being like the s21 ultra something that kinda annoyed me about the s21 ultra and being limited to the cases with an spen slot and though these are more spen cases for zfold still its kinda annoying, another thing that keeps me is the very narrow outer display and the weird inner display aspect ratio, I wish they made it a 3:2 and that is possibly if instead of the phone folding horizontal it folded vertically would give us a closer to 16:9 aspect ratio for outer display and between a 4:3 and 3:2 aspect ratio on display, I wish they increased the vertical length of the smartphone by 8-12mm and having it fold vertically would give us a better aspect ratio on the outside and inside for watching videos and the third reason is not having the ultra sensors for $1800 I want the best of the best, it could even be last years ultra camera sensors I wouldn't mind its much better than the standard camera of the current model, even the s21 ultra cameras beat the s23/s23+, so without a doubt I'd take the s23 ultra sensors and the final thing is lack of dust resistant, most people like who cares about dust its water than more important, that's true for slab phones but for folding phone dust resistant is very important as it's easy for dust to get inside the device. If they could improve these 4 things, I'll switch to the zfold, and this isn't too much. I'm asking if this is something I expected from a 5 gen, and if it toke 6 gen of fold to give us wider outer display and integrated spen so what nothing special at that point, the changes I listed are what I'd consider a 6ᵗʰ gen product to be

I’ve been using iPhones for more than 10 years now and feel kinda bored of iOS that doesn’t change lots. Then I just decided to not buy iPhone anymore after touching the hot-mock at Apple Store. Instead, I’m gonna go for Galaxy Z Fold 5, and super exited about it.
I'm very happy with mine. I got tiny paws so the outer screen is perfect for me. I also have the Tab S8 Ultra so I was already used to multitasking on it. It's way cool for my phone to have the same capability and to be in my pocket where ever I go.
I have the samsung s9 ultra tab also... best of both worlds 🎉

I went 4 to 5, and I get what you mean about the quality. It seems like they've perfected the design, it just feels much better engineered, especially the hinge. The chassis is still sprayed and mine is already pitted by the case. I think they should polish the chassis or replace it with titanium. A 2K phone shouldn't look used in less than a month. I I wouldn't recommend going 4 to 5 as the benefits aren't that great. I upgraded because I wanted better battery life and a more durable inner screen. Both my 3 and 4 had screen replacements within a year. The front screen argument will never end but this is my 3rd Z-fold and the ability to touch my thumb and middle finger across the cover screen has been a game changer for me. The slab phones are just too wide for my small hands. I really hope Samsung doesn't yeald to the noisey minority and sticks to its design ethos with the next version.
@imarocketman90 this is exactly what I want: a Z Fold Ultra with Ultra cameras and integrated S Pen and normal sized cover display. I've also had 3, 4, and now 5.
Only thing I miss is the fingerprint gesture when I need to access quick settings and notifications.

Traded in my S22 Ultra for the fold 5 and so far im excited as hell i love it so much as a phone and if they continue making them better it is the only phones i will have in the future makes multitasking and work stuff with customers 10x easier than before
Have you tried using waze on the inner screen? My old z fold heated up like crazy. Just curious how this one is.

It was tight, so slightly difficult yes, and the adhesive still seemed to be holding up just fine :)
The fold 5 is my first folding phone & I came from an Note 20 ultra, I got amazing trade in deals promos and discounts so I saved $1100 & I got a free storage upgrade! So I got an 512gb zfold 5 that normally costs $2500 🇨🇦 for $1400. I have to say I am genuinely enjoying this more than I thought, I was initially going to wait for the fold 6 but untill Samsung really changes the fold 6 and they put the Spen inside and make the front just a bit wider I am happy to keep this for 5 years untill there are no more updates to the phone. I was going to also get an s23 ultra but this will do just fine for now and it's a nice change from a regular slab phone 📱 😊. (I also went with the icy blue color and I love it!

I finally got a Spigen case for this phone yesterday that has a hinge protector!
Much more peace of mind but honestly, the feel of this phone exceeded my expectations by far, it feels amazing! Especially the hinge itself.
Friendly suggestion..it'd be a lot easy on the eyes with a darker background over white.. especially for folks who watch at night..

I am trying to find out if the phone is half folded into a L - can you shoot with the camera and have the viewport on the bottom?
There are people who did test between these two and because of the new processing the s23 ultra versus the Galaxy fold 5 is almost no noticeable difference other than zoom and some of the pictures actually look better on the Z-Fold 5 surprisingly so megapixels isn't what it's always about sometimes if the processor

I upgraded to the fold 5, the changes are incremental but it feels SO polished! I'm happy for now and if the leaks for the fold 6 are true then I'm gonna be upgrading again next year!

Great decision sometimes I regret getting the fold 5 because been in the apple ecosystem for 18:years and actually don't see a big update from 14 pro Max 1 TB to go for the 15 pro Max 1 TB instead got the fold 5 1 TB

As for the crease I don't know what people are talking about I got the Z-Fold 5 coming from the z-fold 4 I did not notice the crease when looking directly at the screen in front of you on either of them it's the only one there's tons of light and it's from an angle

Who I was going to buy this for has those long nails and loves to hear the sound of her nails hit her screen protector I knew it was plastic just wasn’t sure which one would scratch easier the plastic or the glass perhaps I’m not the most intelligent when it comes to that but this is why I rely on you Nick! Thanks for always telling us all the good the bad and just real life using for most that is the most important, but I can appreciate a Techs mind for sure. But you truly did stop me from making a very huge mistake. I will stick with the ultra thank you thank you thank you I’m from Chicago, so no longer living there but miss it a lot. I would love to see your bike ride in the parks and all the places you visit. Some of it is new and some of it well it will never change bless you and yours.

I used my Fold5 in split screen and suited what the things I was doing. It is like I was using 2 phones at the same time.
Would you recommend 15 pro or the fold 5?
I've had a 4 and a 5. Within a year the fold out screen has experienced freezing problems on both phones

Still a bit on the fence. I ordered the iPhone PM but having to wait until November! And the fold is giving a free watch 6! So feel safe with the iPhone but the fold is still on my mind.

I returned the 15 pro max after a week, got the fold 5 and I couldn’t be more happier. I was a lifetime apple user (since the iPhone 4) but they don’t innovate anymore.

The crease is very much visible compared to the Oneplus Open. Do you notice the crease while using the phone?
My favorite part about this phone is the thin front screen! That's what makes it easy for one-handed operation. If the screen was wide you can't reach over to the other side to hit the buttons over there! Review after review... The reviewers are complaining of the narrow front screen. Ridiculous. Try doing one-headed operation with a note phone.. You can't reach the left side. Samsung should make more phones that are long and thin for one-handed operators.
I switchdd from the iPhone12 PM to the Fold 5 and I'm in heaven. NEVER EVER back to Apple.
Three years later I'm still enjoying my galaxy z fold 2 and my z fold 2 is still enjoying me...hard pass.
Samsung is absolutely the king of folding smartphones simply because they have been doing it for 5 years
U buy the phone for the outside or inside screen it's foldable phone. If u just want a regular screen buy a regular phone. Duh. The out screen is more to check things and some stuff but the main thing is the inside big beautiful screen.u can actually more then 3 apps. U can have one in the middle as well and then a floating one so makes 5 on the screen.
In my opinion if your not using S,-pen actions with a Bluetooth spen then your just wasting your money with only an regular s-pen
Wanna increase battery life, Switch to Dark mode for the display and find yourself a black wallpaper. The fewer pixels you illuminate the longer the battery will last.

Im looking to buy a z fold 5 but report about fold 4 hinge problem and phone won't fully open make me scared of getting a fold. As in my country there is no warranty. Fold 5 actually fixes that problem so if that was your concern, then go for the 5

I have a Z fold..... It is so full of bloatware that I will NOT upgrade to any Samsung device. Battery killers. Cannot be deleted or paused PER SAMSUNG THEMSELVES. I don't need all of their apps running in the background. Why is no one ever discussing this issue????

Honestly the prototype of the galaxy zfold 6 should've been the zfold 5, considering the zflip 5 got a huge upgrade on the cover display it makes zero sense for the zflip 5 to be a galaxy zfold 4 with a flat hinge and 8 gen 2 with nightography, they could've atleast went with dust resistant and a wider outer display than sell you on the integrated spen next year, wider outer display and dust resistant is the minimal they could've done for a generation upgrade, from the zfold 3 to 4 we had sold reason, wasn't a big upgrade but a good enough upgrade, the camera upgrade was significant, the more efficient processor and the battery life is significantly better, the outer display is noticably wider and they only complain i had is they didnt add dust resistance, that upgrade isn't a signficant upgrade but good enough for 1 generation and in 2-3 month it will become easy recommend when that thing comes down to around $600, I'd say just buy the galaxy zfold 4 or even a zfold 3 as a trial device, I'd still give zfold 3 the best in terms on value because if camera doesn't matter much and charging the device isn't the issue your pretty much still getting the same phone which makes me recommend the zfold 3 and once zfold 4 comes down $600 that will become the best value. Honestly if you never own the zfold and wanna try zfold buy the zfold 3 or if you want the best get the zfold 4 it just doesn't make sense to spend an extra $1000-$1200 just for an 8 gen 2, flatter hinge even though it makes a significant difference its not $1000 better or even half of that better, I'm glad they went with 8+ gen 1 if they went with 8 gen 1 then I would've been like wait couple months and get the zfold 5, if your coming from the zfold or zfold 2 upgrading to the zfold 3 or 4 is still significant enough, sorry to be rough on zfold 5 owner I just can't really find a valid ascuse to get the zfold 5, the only way I would be able to recommend it is if the zfold 6 flops which doesn't seem to be the case, the zfold 5 is a very empty phone to be honest, I don't mean to make zfold 5 users bad its an honest review
The cover screen is made for Asian fingers that are skinnier and smaller, and it's practically hopeless for typing with plastic cover on .
Why do people are moan about the display. It's fine for one handed use which is what it's meant to be. How did you lot ever survive with using the older phones like the Nokia 😂. If it was as big as the s23 ultra it would be way to big

I bought the Oneplus 12 over the Fold 5 because I can't any TH-camr talk about how much it will cost to replace the inside screen. I don't have $300 lying around for insurance either. Don't want to buy the Fold 5 and later have to pay over $300 just to fix the inside screen. My first Android phone is the Oneplus 12. I'm a iphone fan boy since the iphone 3.

I like your videos but those tips and tricks are too superfluous. Nobody needs a TH-cam video which detailled functions. There is a guide for every Samsung phones and you can show these „guides" from your videos but I like my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Guys DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG FOLD. My fold4 inner display broke on its own within 1 year and 4 months just out of the warranty date. The inner display is not ready for consumers. Samsung intentionally puts the warranty at 1 year, so they won't be liable for when it breaks. You will have to buy an additional 3-5 year extended warranty. HEED MY WARNING.

Sounds like your nitpicking.... I rather have them completely get rid of the crease in the center on the inner display.
My only gripe is the battery
The screen protecter will bubble, Samsung will replace, but you have to send it away, no phone for a week or two,
