    Can you mount a light wieght aluminum fold up deck on the bow to cast from? Will the boat handle the wieght of a person and 20 lb deck?

    The background music is killing me. Now I am listening Portishead - glory box; sweet little yak skiff thing. Defaintly considering one of these things.

    I just want to give you guys props, this is one of the best review's I have seen yet on the SoloSkiff. I have had some questions about rigging my SoloSkiff ! do you guys have any suggestions about nav lights and bat. for my gps/fishfinder

      The Railblaza Navipac is what I'd recommend. It's small, compact, uses AA batteries (which means you don't have to run any wires) and is Coast Guard approved. Battery I'd recommend for ur GPS/FF is either a lightweight Lithium Ion battery called Nocqua or the lesser expensive option would be an 8 amp/hr SLA (sealed lead acid) battery. AKA a deer feeder battery.

      Hayaari Marine yeah 10k for a rigged out micro skiff is steep. When you charge 5k for a white hull and 1000 for a paint job its a bit ridiculous. I love your skiffs but for 10k i could buy 3 rigged solos

      I mean, if you can get it up there (its 150 lb's), I'm sure nothing a few ratchet straps couldn't handle.

    How well does it handle when just paddling? Is it comparable to paddling a kayak?

    • @bryand2978
      @bryand2978 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No way does it paddle like a normal kayak. Its extremely wide 44 inches I think the narrator said it weighs 150 pounds without a motor. An average kayak weighs around 50 to 60 pounds and typically 32 inches wide.

  • @HeyAinokea
    @HeyAinokea 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hmm how much is it for motor and wea da gas tank goes?

    • @PackPaddle
      @PackPaddle  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      We don't sell the motors at this time, but depending on the size of the motor and where you get it, you can expect to pay between $900-$1300. As for the gas tank, if the motor does not have an internal tank or you just want to carry a tank with extra fuel, you can set it on top of the deck right behind the raised center hatch. Putting the tank inside the hull is highly discouraged because there's no ventilation for the fumes.

      What's the cost on one with the motor?

    • @PackPaddle
      @PackPaddle  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We don't carry the motors, but the Solo Skiff is $1850 and you could expect to spend somewhere between $800 - $1200 on a motor, depending on it's size.

    Pretty cool toy but growing up heavily in watersports and being towed behind many boats and even a 1992 X2 650 i can tell you dont buy it because this dude thinks that it will tow a kneeboard or plane out a tube. Kneeboard on a dock start with a 5hp Yamaha or tohatsu 2 cycle outboard and full ski rope with a good knee boarder and tow boat operator the kneeboard could possibly plane out. But dont count on towing watersports please. Nice informative video otherwise well done!

    max hp for the boat is a 6hp, and that achieves a max speed of 17.5 mph.... clearly has the wrong information

    • @scottbienvenu7037
      @scottbienvenu7037 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching the video. At the time this video was filmed, the Solo was rated for a 5hp. Only recently has the skiff been rerated for a 6hp. Thanks for clarifying.
