I flipped my ss in the gulf. With the motor, rods and gas tank. Lucky I was able to flip it and save my rods. I was actually going out and a wave 🌊 flipped me. But it was a learning experience.
My buddy flipped his while we were in the gulf. Chop was so bad I couldn’t help him. I picked up all his gear. Took him a while to flip it back over with the motor on it. Scary situation.
3:07 just did that on my brand new solo while underway. Wear your cutoff lanyard for motor. Best thing i did was install hobie H rails on front and left side of center storage/seat. Honestly I still prefer my slayer max for rough water.
im 6'6 200lbs so my ss is pretty top heavy when i stand on it, I cant stand comfortably on my 2017 outback. The only way I can see myself falling out or flipping my fully loaded SS is if i am going full throttle and hit a wave from the side.
They are not currently in production, but the owner of the company says he will start production soon.. There is always a couple of used ones for sale. Specially in Fl
Good video as usual Aliex you the best kayak flipper tells me all I needed to know looks unsinkable sadly is not for me not what I’m looking for 😮 btw the word was Confident 😬
Well, when I put a 6hp motor and all my fishing gear with me at 275 pounds it wasn’t that stable especially passing other boats so I bought a Old Town 120 Autopilot for my freshwater needs and a Piranha Raso 14 for my salt fishing. 😊
@@cajunrat13 Good to know. I have a 14 ft aluminum I use and love in North GA, but we have a lot of eletric only lakes and resovores close to me. Of course it's easy to take my motor off and on all the time, but it's getting old. Thinking about getting a kayak, but dont want to get a cheap one and then buy a better one down the road. I would rather spend good money once and add what I want down the road.
Aliex I did see one guy get flipped. He was running from a storm.10hp outboard, and Minnkota i-pilot on his bow. It took a while but, he kept getting hit by side rollers, maybe 2-3ft waves. He should've just pulled off, with all the kayaks. But he tried to be a boat. And it took him a long time to flip it back over. I knew he was going over. But everything was okay, but his outboard ouch..🌊 🛶 💯

Thanks Alex for this Video. This Skiff on my bucket list.
Any time!
Those skiffs are great
after using them a bit, yeah they are cool, only big issue, low weight capacity but i guess the idea is to go light
When I bought my PA360, I never knew about skiffs. I kind of wish I had this instead. What price range is it in when you throw a motor on it?
$2500 or so msrp a 6hp 52# Suzuki is $1600-1800
poly çarsdf 3 meter beter 350⁰ fit boat otor chap
what is easier to paddle the solo skiff or the outlaw?
Are these still made? Can they still be bought somewhere. Everyplace I look says no longer in production

i heard they are coming back, we will see
@@AliexFolgueira I think I may end up with a 300 tuffy by polycraft. I've been waiting for a couple of years. Thanks for the reply.

@@lovebug1336 I'll sell you mine 800.00
Oi tudo bem, qual é a médida do solo skiff ,( tamanho e largura)
Good video I used to have a solo I liked it a lot
confidence, try that word.....
Would a 2012 hobie pro angler 12 still be worth buying at $2300?
ummn i wouldn't
@@AliexFolgueira what would be the pedal kayak you recommend the most
@Aliex Folgueira the 2012 the guy is selling looks almost brand new that's why
@@ThePhrozenOne it probably has the old ugly seat and the very old drive
@@AliexFolgueira I could be wrong it could be the 2014 and not 2012

No way haha that’s deering point

Stability
🤘🏻🙃🤘🏻
You could have done this much easier in a swimming pool and had deep and shallow water.
Ocean costs less than a pool
I didn’t like mine and sold it right away.
What didn't you like about it. Also what did you buy to replace it if I my ask.
