  • Do I REGRET Buying a MoonSwatch? Swatch x Omega after SIX months. Do NOT buy before watching this.
    In this video, I will tell you if it was worth it to buy a MoonSwatch from the Swatch x Omega collaboration. It’s been about 6 months since I bought a MoonSwatch - Mission to Jupiter. I will tell you if I regret buying a MoonSwatch. Top reasons not to buy and why you may consider buying this overhyped watch.

    If you've had a swatch before you'd understand that most swatches are built just like this and you need to take care of them properly. Even with such build quality swatches have lasted people for 2 decades plus if they take good care. Any chrono from a reputed brand costs around 150. For a little extra money you're getting a collab between two very significant brands. It is a speedmaster....i mean it quite literally says it is on the dial. Every collector needs a swatch and i think this is THE swatch to get. Also i love how the value appreciates after you purchase it. I can't think of any other watch in that price point that's not a limited edition that appreciates in value

    • @PocketUau
      @PocketUau 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd say they're built worse than other Swatch models. The case isn't a Unibody, and the pushers are cemented instead of being one piece. Stupid construction really

    This is certainly a must watch video before buying a moonswatch. For me, there should be nothing to regret about if I bought the moonswatch. I can consider the amount spent, which is little comparing to watch like Tudor, as charity or small contribution to the economy. And it's actually fun to wear it to meet people. So in my watch collection I have dress, daily, diver, gmt, smart causal etc watches and this can be under fun watch.

    • @OneManReviews
      @OneManReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, John. You're right. It is not too expensive, and a MoonSwatch can be your fun watch when you have other watches in the collection. When you see someone wearing a MoonSwatch - big chance it could be a watch enthusiast.

    I was passing the swatch store in Tokyo on my honeymoon and decided to walk in to see if i could see one on display (I live near Denver, and we dont have a Swatch boutique) Then, to my surprise, they had one!!!! So i bought it and love it. No, it's not perfect, and it's not going to be an everyday watch, but it looks stunning, and it kind of wears like a Casio F91W. Im not sure how dura le it will be, but ill smile everytime i wear it

    Its a swatch lol, people who bought one expecting omega quality are gonna be disappointed. I held out until i could find one for retail. I would not buy this as my only watch but as someone who sold his speedmaster a couple years ago due to financial woes, this is a cool little inexpensive piece thatll give me somewhat of the same vibe. I have my marathon tsar as my daily beater and a tudor and breitling for fancy occasions.

      @@OneManReviews there are so many fun watches to be had that are just as colourfull and not just a novelty. The MoonSwatch is overpriced, overhyped with a herritage set in marketing. It wouldn´t scratch my itch, I would be afraid my itch would scratch it instead. I rather have an orient kamasu for half the price. The green dialed one is gorgeous, the red one is vibrant. If I really wanted to go all moonswatch I would buy a hommage of the hommage, like a Pagani Design. I think that watch has more honesty and quality and being a modern day ´hommage´, it has just as much historical importance and herritage as the Swatch has. Will it appreciate? I doubt it, but at least I would appreciate it.

      Also I havent held the Moon Watch strap yet, but its crazy how similar it is and its literally almost the price of a moonswatch!
      I understand the price point conversation. But I am not going to judge it for what its not and I take care of whatever it is I have as best I can.
      So I bought it knowing I would have to be delicate with it. But just as you said, its more of a fun daily or weekend watch. I know it’s a privilege to think this way but hey… for the money, who cares. Now you’re part of the cultural phenomenon that was the Moonswatch. I guess I’m a conservative watch buyer. I'm sorry to have to say this but I'm not a fan of Omega full stop - I had a Speedmaster in the late 80's and the buttons fell off also the second hand jumped in chronograph mode - at first I thought I'd purchased a fake at an Omega price but it was from a reputable high St jeweller and was shocked to find out it was genuine. I then had a quartz Golderneye Seamaster and to be honest that wasn't brilliant either for the cost. If you need the name on a watch then fine but In my opnion there is much much better quality at a fraction of the cost out there.
