My husband and I went remote camping 200 feet from Rio Grande for Thanksgiving. I don’t have enough power to take a blender. I mixed up my fresh cranberries, pomegranate, green apple, and coconut cream together for Thanksgiving breakfast! Next time I’ll take my chia seeds. Had it for lunch too 😊 I also never leave home without Markus 3&1 Green protein. Just got to make sure I take enough water.
Markus, I’m really surprised you and Cara aren’t living where you can garden outside year round. Versus the desert. Most vegans I know are avid gardeners.
awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!... I need to get new bag of green protein smoothie !!!!!!...thanxs for a reminder ...(:...this video is top notch !!!......perfect !!!
Thank you for all the cranberry ideas Markus❤..Thanksgiving dessert for us was an ‘Egg Nog’ smoothie😊pumpkin spice, cinnamon, fresh ginger root, frozen bananas, dates😋 we had a nice warm day in SW Florida🌴 my meal was roasted carrots+butternut squash, mashed rosemary potatoes, sautéed green beans, sweet potato soup😍

@ Ain’t that the truth! So much temptation during this time of year but the reward is worth it! Let’s stay on track, staying healthy, looking vibrant, and maintaining our strength. Wouldn’t it be great to start the new year on the right path without the need for reform 🌻
You're right about sugar. I started eating sugar at this new job. long hours. And my vision got really bad at a very quick rate. I hand 20 15 vision and now it 20 30 hard to see stuff close to.Now it hard to play video game. I gotta quit eating sugar. Wasn't eat sugar for a couple years. Start a new job, eating sugar now. Suppose not to eat sugar. I have pinch nerve in my back, which makes my stomach not to work.haft the time. Which vitamin supplement do you have? That will break down in my intestines. Not my stomach for safety reasons.I'm tired of taking vitamin supplements all the time.
Hi Markus! My mom and I quit coffee and aren't doing well on green tea ...it makes us dizzy. What would be a 3rd alternative? Maybe black tea ...idk. Any advice ? Thanks in advance !
That's a common symptom of coffee withdrawal. Coffee generally contains much more caffeine (95-200 mg per cup) compared to green tea (25-50 mg per cup). If you're used to a higher caffeine intake, switching to green tea reduces your caffeine consumption significantly, which can lead to withdrawal symptoms. Common symptoms of caffeine withdrawal include dizziness, headaches, fatigue, irritability, and difficulty concentrating. These typically begin within 12-24 hours after stopping caffeine and can last for a few days to a week. Green Tea has unique compounds like L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxation. While beneficial, the calming effect might feel unusual if you're used to the stimulating effects of coffee, potentially contributing to feelings of lightheadedness or dizziness. The caffeine in green tea is released more slowly due to its combination with L-theanine, making it less of an instant pick-me-up compared to coffee. If you're sensitive to changes in caffeine intake, it might indirectly affect your blood sugar regulation. Dizziness can result from mild hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), especially if you drink coffee or tea on an empty stomach. Coffee is a stronger diuretic than green tea. If you drink less liquid overall when switching, mild dehydration could contribute to dizziness. Coffee and green tea both influence electrolyte excretion. If your diet hasn’t adapted to this change, it might affect your balance. Gradually reduce coffee intake rather than stopping abruptly. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Ensure you're eating regular meals to maintain stable blood sugar levels. Be patient; withdrawal symptoms usually subside within a week.
The general rule is eat things found in nature as close to the form they are found in nature. I personally don't think meat is necessary nowadays but that's personal preference.
How do we add back the gut biome that helps us with Oxalates? Do you know which they are and and do you have a supplement or probiotic to recommend? I havent had antibiotics since 2000 but still have a problem with oxalates
I am allergic to ASA ( aspirin) due to Rye syndrome I had as a very young child. I found I can no longer digest avocados and apparently there may be a link there . I also can’t digest raw broccoli and cauliflower anymore. Now I may need to avoid cranberries.. Do you think there is a link with ASA allergy and broccoli, cauliflower & avocados? I use to digest them fine back in the day…?
Probably not.Broccoli and Cauliflower typically have low salicylate levels, making them unlikely culprits. Avocados on the other hand contain moderate to high levels of salicylates but even then I don't think they are the issue. ASA allergy typically involves the immune system, whereas salicylate sensitivity is more of an intolerance involving dose-dependent reactions. It sounds more like a liver issue. I would focus more on healing the liver by stopping a high carb low fat diet, avoiding all refined carbs (bread, pasta, cereal, cookies, chips, cakes, crackers, anything with wheat or anything baked in an oven, plus sugar, fruit juice, alcohol, tylenol, hormone therapy, antibiotics and any other medications as much as possible. Read all ingredient labels and look for seed oils like cottonseed, canola, corn, soy, palm, safflower, sunflower etc and only consume healthy fats and oils like olive oil, coconut etc. Drink lots of water, maybe take the liver formula markusliverformula.com take lecithin and bile salts every day to help emulsify fats and help the liver. If you had antibiotics in the last 5-10 years, do everything you can to replenish good gut flora with live cultured non dairy foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, Natto, unsweetened coconut kefir etc. NOT commercial kombucha. None of the above should be sweet tasting. I hope this helps th-cam.com/video/RXjD7ZiPgXo/w-d-xo.html studio.th-cam.com/users/videoqgeNUKK2Rno/edit studio.th-cam.com/users/videohXAsQsUdk4Q/edit
I love this! Happy Christmas (early). Thanks for these ideas. I'm not ever doing Durian, .....but i love the other ideas. I might put some in overnight buckwheat groats. Here is an other interesting way to do them - in the dehydrator. Just halve and dehydrate. Grind and you have a beautiful raw powder with a tart flavor to top almost anything. Right now I'm dehydrating the jellied cranberry sauce. Warning, if you do this, slice it thinly or it will take 2 days. Ask me how I know. Lol. Idk if you guys eat the cranberry sauce, but maybe some of your viewers Do. Tastes like gummed cranberry so far. Cara you are great to make Markus all that yummy food. I also do that for my guy & for myself. Love all the great recipies and your inspiring videos.
I was so happy watching this until I heard that people who are allergic to aspirin can't have cranberries ... 😥 That's me. Thanks for the video anyway.

Where do you buy the Cranberries from
The freezer section in any grocery store for sure, and this time of year you can even buy them in the unfrozen regular produce section in USA/Canada.
