I agree. The presentation and voice of a TH-cam can make or break my decision to watch. HolySchmdt is professional and leaves me with the feeling he knows what he is talking about. To the point and all supports the title and information for the video.
Reasonable products for the general urban population. As an outdoorsman I have some of those bases covered and a couple others don't interest me. When using a book instead of my Kindle I read at night with my Petzl headlamp. It's a very useful tool for many applications. I carry a single wall titanium water bottle on hikes and around town. It's a bit more expensive, but is completely inert (non-reactive) and won't impart off flavors to water if kept clean. Single wall on the chance that I need to boil water on the trail for whatever need. Lastly, optics. This is one place that, regardless of improving technology, you get what you pay for. 12 power is usually too shaky for most people to see clear images unless you use a support. Many birders use 8x and some of us use 10x. I prefer 10x and have a walking stick designed to support binoculars. As a retirement gift to myself I invested considerably more in a pair of Swarovski optics. If my step kids don't take up birding I hope they get a good price for them when I'm gone.
Though my suggestion is expensive I could not live without my Apple Watch. I fell one time and was knocked out but my Apple Watch buzzed me awake and asked if I fell. I said yes, and it asked if I needed an ambulance. I said no. I fell just this year hurting my leg and once again my watch buzzed me and when asking if was hurt, I said yes and it called an ambulance. As a retiree, this is literally a life saver. Enjoyed your video(s) and have subscribed. Thank you!
Perhaps it may interest you in researching and making a video about retired parents planning for their adult daughters weddings. I have read that it is not all that common for the brides parents to pay for everything. One wedding planner suggested the the bride and groom pay half and parents of bride and groom pay equal shares of the rest. FYI: When I got married 31 years ago, I payed for our wedding.
The Cyber Monday deals on these items are great. Great timing on posting the video. I just ordered 5 of the items on this list, Christmas shopping for myself, and total was $120. The other five I already had. Thanks for the ideas, all very useful.
Retirement becomes truly fulfilling when you possess two essential elements: ample financial resources and a meaningful purpose in life. Make prudent investment choices to secure good returns and ensure a comfortable retirement.
Next video might be on cheap services that make retirement better, like two I pay for: 1. Yard service crew mows my 5,000 or so square feet of front lawn for $40 every two weeks. 2. Pedicure as I have a lot of difficulty crunching myself up and reaching my feet to do anything other than a hack job, also $40 every month or so. The lady also takes care of your feet/ankles, like scrubbing them better than you can, sanding callouses or little bumps or whatever you need, so that my socks are way easier to get on. I never knew pedicurists did that stuff. 3. etc.
The other thing is the sock putter on'er! It takes some time to figure this one out. It looks like a piece of gutter on a slope with a bast to hold it up. U put your sock over it and then slide your foot into your sock! No bending down and it has a stick to help put it on and off. About $10 or less!!
Ask about a walker , battery powered scooter or wheelchair, check with your insurance co. Plans differ. A power lift chair to assist you getting up! Try the softest mattress to sleep on if ur a heavy person, you may have been sleeping on the wrong firmness all of these years!! I love my therapedic bed!! No springs!
Thanks! Just in time for Cyber Monday, snagged a deal on the reading and night light, going to give them as a Christmas gift to my retire mother. Good topic to cover and appreciate you're not being sponsored.
We have 6 or 8 arcmate 36" or so pistol grip grabbers!! Dont bend over or ovrr reach, use this! I have one to pick up my remote or my silverware if it runs away!! Remember, thr knife ran away with the spoon!! Mine never came back!
Costco had clamp on led lights with a flexable neck. 3aaa batteries, and it will blind you it has so much light!! Ideal for the car too or a dark cabinet shelf!! About $12 for 4 of them.
Thanks. Great list & great timing w cyber Monday on Amazon being accepted today. Just ordered the Glocusent book reading light for my fiancé and the LOHAS 3k LED night lights for me. I have the ZERO WATER filtration system for about 6-7 years now and I’m happy with it. It has a 5 stage filter. Lastly, I think you meant JBL headphones.
Get a slip from the doctor and state dmv for window tinting on your car and also handycap license plates! U can tint your front windshield- nice, real nice traveling!!
There is a very good reason for the bride's family to pay for a wedding. The odds are far better than even that the newlyweds will spend a disproportionate amount of time with the bride's parents, possibly very little with the groom's family. As a financial advisor, you should counsel all your clients not to pay for any wedding expenses except possibly the groom's dinner and a gift. The return on investment (tongue in cheek) is horrible.
Many good idea's! I've had a Thermos brand water container fo over 10 years which has a silicone mouthpiece that's easy to keep clean for use with an RO water purifier at the kitchen sink and ice maker. This does not replace a neutralizer, softener, or any other treatment equipment that might be needed for well water. A couple of years ago I sew someone in a TH-cam video reheating their coffee in the microwave and explaining that he likes his coffee hotter than it will stay using a mug. I was doing the same thing until I discovered a Thermos brand Tumbler which is similar to the cold water container! I've been using that Tumbler everyday since! So glad to have found it! 🙂 I recently was told by the Cable company the they were no longer supporting Cable cards and could rent streaming boxes along with the TV charge! I decided to return the cards and bought Roku's which took a bit of adjusting to but glad that I did!
While I found this video useful, despite owning many or similar products (I got directional night lights over a decade ago and they still work!), but the product names were not listed with the descriptions. Though I primarily use my Kindle Paperwhite with warm light, I occasionally read a book and use a book light. I love that wrap around light, but didn't write down the brand 🤦🏼♀. Thankfully there are time stamps.
I just gave a set of cheaper BT headphones to my Mom and was trying to show her how to stream music from her phone. I had bought them for my Dad to use with his TV but ended up giving them to her.

Many people no longer read hard copy books. All dedicated readers and tablets like the Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tablets have blue light filters for reading in bed.
I agree. But many readers are changing their methods for reading vs tablets and downloading. Just thought I would share this information regarding downloading books. Readers are discovering they are realistically leasing their book from Amazon, not purchasing. . Amazon has the right to edit the download, rescind the download though you feel as if you "purchased" it . Believe it is a 5 year lease that one has the downloaded book. When one buys a paperback, one now "owns" the book and can do what they want with it. Also, downloaded books have become more expensive than buying the paperback, because literally you are paying for a leased copy.. Amazon's Lease agreement: "Amazon's Conditions of Use state that they can terminate accounts, remove or edit content, and cancel orders. " I found all this interesting and am beginning to buy paperbacks again, and donating to my local library that is need of updated books. Or I can loan the book or resell it if I choose. Can't do this with a Kindle book. Interesting changes and just sharing.
Bonus suggestion: a public library card
1. Book Light Glocusent
2. Lohas LED Night Light
3. Lucid Water Drop Water Filter
4. Reusable Water Bottle (Stainless Steel)
5. Occur Compact Binoculars
6. Streaming Device (Fire-Roku-etc.)
7. JBL Headphones (Bluetooth)stand
8. Bedside Caddy Nightstand (Kikkerkand)
9. Fiskers Lightweight kneepads
10. Passport

My local passport agent said online passport applications are scams. The official passports are not done online.
