Yeah the body panels surrounding the car are all made of carbon fiber whole the inside of the car is just a basic 4 door fd2 look. I believe they should have taken weight out the inside as well because just looking at the inside it looked like weight
It's still a street car (concept) Keith. I think that removed as much interior weight as possible, given it has the carbon (lol) race buckets and so on. :)
I'd be more impressed if the WHOLE car was carbon fibre...like a Pagani Zonda R. still a beautiful car though!

It's the whole main frame that isn't. The A and C pillars and rear quarters aren't. Everything that can be replaced, has been replaced, from the looks of it anyway.

I've got a set for carbon doors EK9 hatch but been sick havent been able to do much I've worked on every Honda and alot of other cars.
$50k I would understand but does not come close to 1 mil.

Well it's a one off.. And like any one offs, it's not gonna be as cheap as a mass produced thing. I mean all that cost of production for just 1 car. Yeah it's a million. Your regular civic, if that's the only civic Honda has ever made would probably cost around the same. Cost of machining, R&D, materials, man power, engineering.
do you know how expensive it is to make a car entirely out out of cf? Pagani's dont cost so much just because they're pagani's, they use high cost materials which is the main reason for their price tag, and their rarity of course, and as this civic is a one off i'd say its got rarity covered too. Is it a 1 million dollar car? I'm not sure, it could have cost that much, we cant really tell how much of the car is cf, but buy the looks of it, most of it is, i just wish the wheels were too.
you can go to seibon and buy the parts and make your own FA5 out of carbon fiber... not too hard... i would say you could probably build a carbon FA5 similar to that for 50K which includes the price of the car...

well it vary likely does not actually cost 1 million dollars, 2400lb/260hp is pretty fast. its also not actually full carbon fiber. personally, 100k sounds more reasonable since it is a mugen race car
