@@TassieLorenzo fwd has less drivetrain loss than rwd. Engine is right there, no long driveshaft. Awd has the worst drivetrain loss of all drivetrain layouts.
remember guys, rwd has higher drivetrain loss due to rwd so 240 crank hp on the s2k translates to about what the type r actually makes at the wheels too. imagine a fwd F20/f22. its basically the same as the type r.

dontbeghey Honda should really start delivering the same Civic Type Rs or just cars in general across the world. It makes absolutely no sense and is probably way more expensive in development costs to have different platforms and versions in different sales areas. It's also frustrating for customers who would've liked to get that car.

Devon Felix the mugen RR has about the same power as the s2000 and the mugen RR weights less than the s2000, and mugen being mugen they know how to set a car to be precise around th corners and what not.
Its called technology, progression. Everything from tyres, brakes, chassis, transmission, engine(torque curve) has moved on from when the s2000 came out! Its only natural and it doesn't mean its better to drive! just faster
FD2R weights around 1,260 kg and S2000 weights around 1,250 kg so the weight difference is way too minor to even compare.. FD2R has 220 HP and S2000 has 240 HP, K series engine are better than F series engine because of technology advancement.. FD2R has aluminium bonded chassis, bigger brakes and better suspension.. For an FF, it handles so damn well.. Perhaps u should test drive one and see for yourself..

It's amazing how the 4 door, FWD Civic is outrunning the 2 seater, 50/50 S2000 on the track-even the stock FD2 is quicker.
FWD suffers less drivetrain power loss than RWD. So technically, the Civic weighs about the same as the S2000 with more HP.
Plus stock tire composition may play a factor as well.

Yes stock for stock the civic type r is faster but when it comes to upgrading both cars u can make the s2k alot faster than the civic
