Hello Suja, very helpful information thank you. When updating if you are a naturalized citizen the form will ask for the date, so it is good to have the naturalization certificate handy. Also the Renunciation certificate should be handy for the Indian passport under which the renunciation was registered.

We dont have old passports for my wife and children who have OCI, they have been updated but as emabssy has not put any OCI U visa sticker on new passport, with updated information and neither has any information on OCI, can we still travel or on transit airport there can be issue to travel to India, if it is not a direct flight. We only received email saying our Application for passport updation has been received. Is there any other email we are going to received stating passport information was successfully updated in their system? Please respond.
Hi Suja, thanks for your video. I am 37 years old. My OCI was issued when I was 30. Since then, my passport expired which was used for OCI at the time. Since then, I received a new passport about 2 years ago. DO I have to update online my new passport details, or can travel to India with my new passport and OCI card? Thanks

You are absolutely brilliant! I’ve been trying to contact OCI Indian authorities. I have had zero response! All I wanted to know if I have sent my oci for renewal as I have renewed my British passport can I still travel l. And you have clearly stated that even if it’s under acknowledgment I could travel, and you have clearly said I will not receive a new OCI card even thou it has my old Passport number has changed. I do know how to put the right size online but It won't let me re-upload using Passport and Reference file number online on Oci miscelleneous services option re-upload photo signature. Can you help me how to handle this rejection process? I live in USA. Should I re-apply again and get another new file or reference number and upload photo signature with proper size to correct this rejection? Can you please confirm before you had to renew you oci booklet when you reached age 20 and when you hit 50. So you are saying that now you do not need renew your original when you get to 50. You only need to update your passport details now.is that correct

Hi, I got my OCI with the passport of when I was 17 years old. I then renewed my passport and I was 19 years old and my OCI had old passport information of 17 years old. Currently I am holding the same passport where I was 19 years old with the OCI of old passport (17). I turned out 23 years old (passport not expired yet) and I am flying to India in a week. I have both new and old passport with OCI of expire passport. Can I travel to India without doing anything as do not have much time left? by carrying my both passports expired and new with OCI. I saw there is extension. Does the extension apply to me?

No need to apply new oci , you just have to update the latest passport info when you receive new passport next time
