- Sharing my recent experience of travelling to India with OCI card from Canada. It is just my personal experience and this may not be same as yours. Pls consult your airlines, immigration dept or your ministry for any specific instructions\ Support.

Hello, thanks for sharing your travel experience with OCI. For clarity sake, please mention "Cancelled" Indian Passport whenever you are trying to refer your old Indian passport. Many viewers can get confused.

U may have to carry old foreign passport if that passport number is mentioned on your OCI.

Nothing . Just carry it when you are travelling to India .
Bro, once you received à canadien passport, you should surrender your Indian passport.near by indian Embassy.&get due acknowledgement.An indian passport is property of Indian Govt.

Do they do fingerprints every time you go to India or only once
I believe it is every time but I am not 100 % sure

Sir, you should not hold your Indian passport.Since you got canadien citizenship immediately you should hand over the indian passport near by Indian Embassy , Canada & get the acknowledgement. They may put à fine for having Indian passport. Passport is the property of India. Pl take care. Don't do this.I am also south indian, I had an experience.
Sir with out handing over the passport you won’t be able to apply for oci . You should hand over them they will give you surrender certificate along with your old Indian passport (punched).
My uncle stay in i India more then 3 years he has OCI card and now he wants to travel uk so he need permission or letter from collector or police authorities??? Plz help booking is done plz help

No need . Once u have OCI one can stay number of days . In Uk if immigration asks for reason, u should have valid reasons.
Ùncle might need Tax Clearance certificate from Indian tax authorities if going to UK permanently

Looks like india dont allow dual citizenship. Sad you are a borned india citizenship and upon being a canadian citizenship you need a visa to enter your birth country.I am proud to be a guyanese. I hold a canadian and a guyana passports.
