This email can take up to two weeks from what I hear, but I got it the very next day.

@LevelUpWithAnisha Perfect👌 . Thank you!
Thanks Anisha for such an informitive video! I have a question: Could you please tell more about the police verification that happened in India while you were in NY state? Did your guardians showed real ids like: adhaar card, Voter id or any other documents? I am also applying for GE and will be submitting application at Indian embassy at SFO. Wondering how can I prepare my parents for the background verification happening in my absence back in India.
Hi, thank you for watching! The background verification process is rather simple. When the police officer comes over, just have 1-2 IDs handy like Aadhar card or a bank passbook. That’s what my parents showed. It wasn’t complicated at all. If they ask for additional info, you could always ask for a little more time. Hope this helps!

@@anooptangri1967 Hi, thank you for watching!
I have not read anywhere that F-1 or J-1 visa holders are ineligible for applying. I think you can apply with these visas. Just note that it would be your responsibility to keep your visa status updated (change in status/renewals) with the CBP and this would have to be done in person.
I know that you went through with the in-person application process, but do you know anything about the mail application method? I’m specifically trying to figure out what kind of return label I need to provide to VFS. They said it must be prepaid, not fedex, and no expiration. @@elizanfisher Hi, I cannot say for sure but usually you do need to send a return envelope for such things. @@dharshaun558 The Global Entry fee is paid at US CBP website where you create the TTP login. That is the first step in the application process. The Passport Seva Portal and VFS steps follow after that.
Hi @Anisha just a quick question. So you made an appointment at EWR airport and just went to the airport gave your interview and returned back home? Without taking any international flight on the day of interview? Lets say if i find an appointment at my home airport i can just go give an interview and come back home??
@@saisankarreddy6633 hi! So yes, you can either do a walk-in interview when you are returning from an international flight (this is usually found right after passport control), or you can schedule an appointment at any locations near you. For me, the nearest location was EWR. It was like any other interview, just the location was the airport. The Global Entry enrollment centers will typically be before any security checkpoint, so no travel required.
thanks for the detailed video, would you mind helping with one question? What documents did the police officer ask for to your parents in India? I have all my documents with me here in the US..
Hello! Happy to help! I think they just check for identity and address proof so if your parents have your Aadhar Card, I think that should suffice. @@lordcthulhu8928 Hi, thank you :) I don’t think H1B expiration date plays a role here. If you change statuses, then you do need to make sure your GE profile reflects the most current status. 1) I don’t think it will be done much faster. In some cases, it might be, but then we can’t be sure! So to have it be more convenient for you, I would recommend choosing the other option where the applicant is applying from the US.
2) I think there can potentially be administrative delays and the officer may or may not come when you expect them to. It really is quite arbitrary and they can come any day! They do call before showing up at your door but not much advance notice. So to be safe, I suggest you schedule your VFS appointment such that your folks are available at home for the next few weeks.
