Making CLEAN this custom PC with power cable RESTORATION

- Today, I continue to clean and restore one of the PCs I found in a basement. I didn't use a soldering iron since a while, but the power supply cable needed urgently a real restoration.
Please let me know what you think about this fix in the comments section. I know it's not perfect yet, but I have to start somewhere to improve my skills on.

Nice video. Adding a boot sequence at the end is a very good idea.
The positionning of the PSU is very unusual, but interesting, Never seen that before !

And so, another old computer lives to fight another day. As others have said, it's an unusual way to mount a power supply. A good idea to install Linux on a PC like this with a modest specification. I use Linux Mint on all my many PCs. :)
Yeah, I pretty like Linux for old computers. It works well.

very good job bro! ive never seen a normal sized psu with that kind of power cord... usually its with those really small psu's that come with the mini itx towers
Yeah that was pretty weird for me also this power cable. And this restore was for me the only way to make this PC work pretty decently.

Camera positioning is one of the things that takes me the most time when making my videos. There is so many cleaning/restoring computers videos on TH-cam, so I wanted to find my own style of doing it. That's, I think, a big a part of it. I still have to improve some things, especially on the sound side, but yeah, I'm already quite happy with the current result, and very happy to see that there are people who like it ❤️❤️
To answer your question, I use a Lumix G80 😊

Yes, vu que c'est des PC que je récupère, il y a souvent des OS qui ne sont plus valables dessus. Du coup j'install ubuntu 😉

Well that really depends of how I got the PC. Sometimes, it come from friends or people I know, so I will not install something else on it . Especially because I give them back their PCs 😅
Then, when I found it myself and they are old, I prefer to install Ubuntu on it. I don't have to take care about license that way + ubuntu is pretty effective with old computers.

Yeah, I would love to find one. To be honest, finding interesting PCs is the most complicated thing for me. So when I find one, I just make a video with it 😅
