The MOST SHOCKINGLY Dirty Computer I've EVER Cleaned!
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 10 ก.พ. 2024
- This is the most time-consuming video I've ever worked on for this channel. Every part of this computer required so much time to clean, but the result looks beautiful to me 🤩
This is also the first time a video I've uploaded is almost 40 minutes long! It was impossible for me to make it shorter if I wanted to keep the entire process in the video. I obviously had to cut some parts, but I'm pretty happy with the result 🥰.
Pretty stressed because of this long format, but yeah... crossed finders 🤞
I hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I loved making this new French Satisfactory episode.
Kisses from France 🇫🇷
Love you all ❤️❤️

Amazing video! ⚠️always test a power supply before opening to make sure there is no power left in it as psu’s can hold their charge⚠️
Thank you very much for your comment @ZacGaming_1 glad to know you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
I should maybe add disclaimer or something on the videos about that. Let's pin your comment for the moment ✌️
@@french.satisfactory definitely disclaimer! Psu internals can kill.
A short about this? It will be useful and youtube likes shorts! It can reach much views!
dont worry about that, left the pc without power about 30 seconds or 1 or 2 minutes and all capacitor will discharged
@@mrtetillas7504 Best thing yet is to turn off the PSU switch then "HOLD" the power switch for 30 sec to a minute. Capacitors can hold a charge for a very long time. By holding the pc power switch on, this forces the caps to discharge faster.
I've worked many years repairing computers. Smokers' computers, especially laptops, always had fan issues and overheating. That oily/gunky residue accumulating on every inside surface is a magnet for dust and fluff.
Thank you very much for your comment @Mariano.Bernacki I received so many comments saying that I did a fake video because "this dust is impossible..." so yeah... thanks for taking your time to write this comment ❤️❤️
Second hand smoke bad since only TB & tar left. 😂
Well said 🤣
@@french.satisfactory
I've seen a smoker's computer that was worse
Believe you 100%, and I'm looking for a PC like this @therealavolpe 😉
I stopped what I was doing just to watch this! Missed you man and always love your content. It's so satisfying and well invested!
That's so nice to read! thank you so much @ScarletPanda280 ❤️❤️
smoking really is a 2nd hand killer , nice job as always
Thank you very much @ShieyV2komputroniks really appreciate ❤️❤️
It must have been used in a hookah bar for 10 years.😆
🤣 @vinlandviking
That's not nicotine; it's dust, possibly combined with years of cheetos dust. You can't remove nicotine from parts by dusting with a paint brush, it has to be removed with a cloth and a cleaner like Formula 409. I grew up with both parents who smoked so I have lots of experience cleaning that shit off...
Well, it is an heavy smoker and pets owner PC, who was probably on the floor and, I would even add that this PC did smell "magic cigarets"... Bad combo.😅 @SirReptitious
Didn't know about this Formula 409. I will check this. Thanks for the tip. ❤️
Perfect clean, no wonder you needed such a "long time" for this new vid. I'm really looking forward for your next project.
Thank you very much for your comment @Cornrock ! Really appreciate, and glad to know you enjoyed this video ❤️❤️
I bet it stinks. You have to wash everything, with water and soap. Dry it with hot air and let it several days in a dry environment before mounting it back.
I love these cleaning vids you do, strangely relaxing. Cheers French.
That's great to read! Thank you very much @francispalmer9737 ❤️❤️
Welcome back! 😄
And I think the longer videos are good, given the ASMR nature of them.
EDIT: I don't agree with that CPU fan orientation. Rotating it clockwise would make so much more sense.
Yey! Thank you very much @spoopyangie ❤️❤️
There is a lot about how this was built that I don't agree with. Rear\Top intake, CPU fan going up fighting with the "top" intake then out the side\front. I can "almost" say that cooler master did not orient those fans like that. At the end of the video, it looked like the case was right on top of the wall. Also, the CPU fan couldn't have been on the memory side of the heatsink because it looked like the fan would have been restricted (not fitting) because of the memory. I would do (this is me) front\side intake then exhaust rear\top (heat rises) that way the fan on the heatsink won't have any resistance with expelling heat. I've built a lot of computers and I have never changed the fan orientation on any case.
Pretty agree with you guys @spoopyangie and @dreizza about the air flow and this CPU fan. In fact, I was so focused on the video making I didn't even think about this and just did put it back the same orientation it was before I took this PC appart. It is the 2nd video I have many comments about the CPU fan orientation and the airflow. It is something I should take more attention on and I will for the next videos.
Thanks a lot guys for your honest comments. They are helping this channel to grow the right way ❤️❤️

Both of my grandparents have this same case and both smoke. Everytime I've cleaned them they look like this
Smoker's PCs are everytime a mix of hard and satisfying moment I would say 😅
I have cleaned filthy PCs in my past but this one is the champ. It looks like it was used by a chain smoker who lived in the Gobi Desert.
Something like that, I guess 😂
Thanks for your comment @PC4USE1 I hope that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
usually people just put some dirt on the devices additionally for gaining view! But your video feels like its 100% genuine! Congrats broh! Nice job!

Oh damn, an CoolerMaster 932! I had a 932 Advance, it was amazing, incredible airflow and a behemoth of a case.
This video hit hard on the nostalgia, i've cleaned it so many times.
Nice to make you have some good memories with this video. As this case is a classic, some people already told me that 🥰

Great result, that PC probably weighs 10kgs less now. I think it's the fastest PC you've cleaned so far, definitely worth your time.
10 kg? yeah probably 😂 Thanks for your comment @MarkTheMorose ! Glad to know you enjoyed this new video ❤️❤️

I loved this video and I loved the way you worked in that system. It shows that you really know what you're doing. My only "but" would be that I don't agree with the CPU heat sink fan placement, since it will be shoving all the hot CPU heat sink air to the graphics card. Also, the top fan case will be pulling air from that zone. As I mounted many PCs back in the day with that Cooler Master HAF chassis (and even had one myself, what a joy and fond memories that chassis brings back to me), I would install the Scythe heat sink fan to its right side, not on top of it.
Nevertheless, you've gained a new subscriber ;).
I totally agree with you, and many others who told me that. In fact, I was so focused and tired on making the video itself, I just did put back this fan the way it was before I took this PC appart. But I will work better on the air flow for the next videos.
Thanks for your honest comment @Dreadnought33 really appreciate, and welcome on board ❤️❤️

One of the best causes ever made, massive air flow
Yeah it is definitely a good one! Loved to work on it.
Thanks for your comment @corneliodamianperezmedrano1136 , I hope that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
Just the cpu cooler on heat sink is on wrong spot, it will blow the hot air down on gpu and will dramatically reduce performace, i have around 150 PC's like this, trust me.
Vidéo satisfaisante 😍 beau boulot ! 👍🏼
Merci beaucoup à toi, content que la vidéo t'ai plu @lesvideosdejpg1224 ❤️

Great job cleaning, but did the memory die of because of the dust etc? because i did see blue memory modules at the end and at the beginnig they were red?
I use the same exact case ! Haha a Cooler Master HAF932. I bought it brand new in 2013, and still serves me to this day in 2024
Yeah, it is an amazing case! Pretty strong so I guess it will be still alive in 10 years 😅
Thanks for your comment @EternalxFrost I hope that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
I still own mine too. A literal 13kg jerrycan of cold-pressed steel and love. Bought in 2011 and decommissioned since 2018 but will eventually reuse it for a server, eventually.
Love to read this@@dingodash4096 ! It is definitely I great server case 🤩And yeah, it is "pretty" heavy 😂
Man, your video are like therapy to me 💚
Yey, thank you very much for your comment @kochwilly , glad to know you enjoy my content ❤️❤️
Other then the coolers orientation. Good job! should have the fan pointed towards the back of the case. In its current config its going to fight the top fan.
top fan could be intake which would work great in that orientation
Well, I pretty agree with the fan orientation. Would be more effective in another orientation. In fact, I was so focused on making the video, I just did put back the same way it was before I took appart this computer 😅
But I think I will change this before git this PC back to its owner.
Thanks a lot for your comment ❤️❤️
This is top tier content.... Fully satisfied with it. 🔥

That is the Scythe Ninja copper limited edition cooler!I have one also and its the best silent cooler for cpu´s of 65 w tdp or less, works really good like that without a fan!
Yeah, this cooler is definitely impressive! and is pretty heavy BTW.

Hello, nice cleaning... then tell me, please, what type of video card is there? From the MSI Lightning... but I can't figure out which chip!? Thank you
If I remember well, it is a ATI Radeon™ HD 5870.
Thanks for your comment @adriantalpau1603 glad to know you enjoyed this video ❤️
Good video well done. i noticed there was still dust on the heatsink of the gpu and the gpu chip had dust when you applied thermal paste and the fans of all the devices needed to be disassembled to clean the old oil and put new oil for the fans. i do full service of laptops and desktops to the core.
Well, I fully agree about the gpu. That video was so long to do ... I was so tired... I realised a lot of things when I was doing the video editing 😅 Too much hard dust, and yeah, too much fans. Next time, I will take care about this more seriously.
About the new oil for the fans, I did change some. In fact, I didn't these ones who was sealed 😉

one thing that i think would give more satisfaction is pressure washing the case with foam and water, Great video👍

i dont know where the computer that you got but im very impressed while no wrorry or not having any electrical issues about to grab the meter and test those circuit boards that discharge or not, you can yolo entirely turn it on in one shot wowww lol
Yeah, for the moment I only work on computer I know they worked before I clean them. The most impressive one was for me that one: th-cam.com/video/rTOOID1Q2i8/w-d-xo.html and its PSU...
In fact, I only had an issue with that one: th-cam.com/video/z0gxK6rmFho/w-d-xo.html
I will for sure work on computers who can have issues, but I have to find a good video format for that.

hp elitebook 2570p cooling fan hbe?

watching this video bring new meaning to the term shit hits the fan🤣🤣
Quality build of the MSI Twin Froza
Hello. Shouldn't the cpu cooling fan have been put back in such a way that it blows the hot air towards the rear 12cm fan, or would it not have fit because of the rams?
(just a comment)
by the way precise :)
I AGREE
Yeah, agree with what you said @DavidSzekeres-my9ml In fact, I was so focused on the video making I didn't even think about this and just did put it back the same orientation it was before I took this PC appart. It is the 2nd video I have many comments about the CPU fan orientation and the airflow. It is something I should take more attention on and I will for the next videos.
Thanks for your comment, hope that you was able to enjoy watching this video even with that ❤️
Love it. It is so soothing to watch you clean. Smoking is just disgusting. I once have bought a used MBP on eBay which turned out to be from a smoker. It was terrible. Brown sticky dust and the smell of cold smoke everywhere inside the device.

Who would ever let their PC get to such a state? You did a great job restoring it to its former glory. I would recommend investing in an ultrasonic cleaner if you haven't already for lighter work.
oh somebody else already told me about an ultrasonic cleaner in the comment section of another video. I will check that. Thanks for the tip.
Glad to know you enjoyed this video @NukaOrQuantum... thank you very much for your comment ❤️❤️
That clear fan came out better than I thought it would.
Did the red RAM turn out to be dead or was it just the color clashed?
I only changed this red RAM to the blue one to go from 8 to 16 Gb 😉
Thanks for your comment @DoomTay hope you enjoyed this vid ❤️
Did you clean the pc after Elisabeth went to the hospital for smoke inhalation, I seen this before with the exact same case, also full of grime and dust from a smoker.
Wait, but who is this Elisabeth?! I already had a comment with this name 😅 Sorry but I don't get the reference 🤣
Love your videos! Keep up, and you shoud make more videos more often!👍👍👍
Thank you so much @duckspcs , really appreciate ❤️❤️
That is some NEXT LEVEL cleaning! Very satisfying, the power of hard work, dedication, and elbow grease saved that system from an early grave! I cringe when I think of the smell it must have been giving off! I have to admit though, I was sad to see those last two dirty screws put on, I wish they would have been thrown in the soapy water too! :)
eheheh, you are right about the screws. I understand you. This video is far from perfect, I will do better next time 😉
Thanks a lot for your honest comment @camb9319 ! really glad to see that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️❤️
Nah!! That system is as perfect as it could get after you got through with it! Def didn't want to take anything away from your work. I used to work as a computer tech and these videos are VERY satisfying. You do great work!!@@french.satisfactory
Thank you very much @camb9319 really glad you enjoyed this video ! But you are right about what you said, and honest comments are helping this channel to grow the right way! so, thanks again for that ❤️
I clicked on this video because I recognized the case which is also the same one sitting here next to me. I've had this case since 2011 and it looks nothing like that or have I ever let it get to that state of disarray. My 200mm fans are still mostly clear with a little bit of white dust but no build up.
SIDE NOTE. Those plastic PCIe retention clips are terrible. I had them melt on me or not so much melt but when my video card got hot, they let the card sag to the point games where crashing (I opened my side panel to see my card almost unplug itself and sitting at a 45-degree angle lol). I took out those plastic retention clips out of there and used screws. Never had an issue since. And yeah, the sag on the GPU in the bigging was absolutely those clips. Toss some screws in there.
Well, I don't know for these retention clips, but it looks like it is not the best part of this case for sure. Except that, I really enjoyed working on this case. Pretty heavy, but looks globally really great. I don't have one myself, it is a computer I gave back to its owner.
Thanks for your comment @feeterican I hope that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
Sorry I'm late thank god you posted a video i love the motherboard it is a legend for its overclocking capabilities i find it funny that the previous owner used only a i 5-750 non k with such a powerfull motherboard
Hey @ryzen_9-3900xt !
Yeah, when I took appart this PC I was waiting for an i7... but didn't have time to order and upgrade it. So let its owner doing this himself 😉
Was nice to read your comment @ryzen_9-3900xt ❤️❤️
Smoker's dirt... The worst! Some of these parts are unfortunately stained forever.
Overall this was a great result! It's a shame you can't oil those big fans, i have some myself and the bearings love to get dry and wear out over time.
I did spot one goof, and that was the GPU. There was still chunky dust on the GPU die when you applied the thermal paste which can lead to worse contact. Also keep in mind to tighten the screws around the GPU first and in a cross pattern for best paste spread.
I saw the sneaky RAM swap to blue modules too. Tasteful ;)
Yeah I realised the dust on the GPU a bit late ... when doing the video editing ... I was probably too tired at this moment. This cleaning project took my soule away 🤪
Thanks for your comment @ypoora1 ❤️❤️❤️
That was so satisfying! ❤

@@french.satisfactory fake ??? How cleaning that amount of dirt can be fake ???
Well, I understand why people have this in mind. There is so many fake videos out there... but if it took me 4 months to upload a new video it is also because of that it is hard to find an interesting PC/Gaming console to clean.
Anyway, thanks again for your comments @luckyspray ❤️❤️
hi bro excellent video, but next time try to use compressed air vertically since using it inclined or horizontally it becomes liquid and can cause some damage
yeah you are right... in fact, I will change this to a compressor or electronic air duster. It is time 😅

He had been using only 1 RAM module for a long long time. Slot 3 and 4, so long, dual Channel 😂
The time it took to clean this is definitely more expensive than the computer is worth. Satisfying result though!
I see the RAM went to double from 2 to 4 and change its color to blue ;)
Yeah for sure, maybe the double price 🤣
True, I upgraded the RAM from 2x4GB DDR3-1333 to 4x4GB DDR3-1600 😉

Always remember, guys :
- put motherboard in the case ;
- put video card on the mb ;
- put memory sticks on the mb ;
- ONLY THEN, put the huge cpu cooler on the cpu ! Geez.
mmmh? why only in that order?
It's what you did in the video.

Great to read that you enjoyed this video. Thanks for your comment @harrynaive ❤️❤️
That looks like my old Digital Storm from years ago. The case was like a tank, it was more of a server case than a game rig. I never did use all the HD bays.
Yeah, this case is awesome. a bit old, and maybe a bit overkill for some, but still pretty awesome for a today use.
Thanks for your comment @eloosive I hope that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
@@french.satisfactory it was so very satisfying to watch you methodically clean the PC. I have always taken care to clean my own tower at least once a year, so it’s fascinating and a wonder to me how anyone could let their PC become so filthy. I think with today’s modern cases and aesthetically pleasing, visually appealing components, more owners of impeccably specified part builds will absolutely keep their PCs clean. Back then, it wasn’t such a phenomenon to show-off the innards, as they were rarely seen.
Yey, I guess more people take care of their computers since we can literally see what's inside, but there is still work to do out there 😅
Thank you very much @eloosive ! Glad to know you enjoyed watching this video ❤️

Sorry, I’m late to the party! Man, this computer was definitely more revolting than usual. Just thinking about the smell sent chills down my spine 😬 Oh, I had a couple questions about your videos. So first, how do you get those macro shots? Like when you were cleaning the chipset, it was so zoomed in I could read the numbers off that chip XD It looks so good! Next, have you ever had any issues with using the alcohol on plastic? I use 91% and it sometimes leaves scratches in the plastic, or it melts it slightly. One last thing, thank you for putting matching blue RAM sticks in that computer, it looks SO much better than the red ones. As always, this was an awesome video and was super cool to watch. You did an amazing job editing it down to less than 40 minutes. It wasn’t too long, and it felt complete. I can’t wait to see what’s next! Also, happy late Valentine’s Day!
Yey @93Volvo240 ❤️ Let's answer your questions
- "how do you get those macro shots?": I put the camera at 1 cm of what I want to record 🤣 I really don't have the good things to do it properly, so ... Yeah I'm doing it with what I currently have 😅
- "have you ever had any issues with using the alcohol on plastic?": Never, but was it a chance? there is sometimes some residues, so I am doing a final cleaning with a glass cleaner product
- "thank you for putting matching blue RAM sticks in that computer." You are welcome 😉
Really glad to know you enjoy watching this video @93Volvo240 . I was a hard work, but I'm pretty happy on the result ❤️❤️

its great but i prefer intel nvidia, arc strange smtms, but when it works it works really well
Great video... first time viewer. Loved the "shooka-shooka-shooka" sound of your super-speed taking and putting screws. Probably someone asked this.. what was the stuff in the case? Was it just from smoking? If so, you could probably make a new pack of cigs from that stuff... Yecch.
Yeah, it is a typical smokers dust. In fact, it smelled "magical cigarettes" inside this thing... 😅
Welcome here @semuhphor ! Thanks for your comment and glad to know you enjoyed watching this video ❤️❤️

Thanks a lot @semuhphor , really appreciate ❤️
I'm glad that I clean my PC's and servers every 2 months (6 for the servers), I couldn't bear the thought of them ever getting this bad! Even as an avid Team Red fanatic, no PC should ever get to be dusty (or even dirt filled) like this! I'm surprised that it even booted after all that caked on crap was left on there! Whoever owned this PC I hope has a new respect for how a computer should be treated and will take better care of it.
I was pretty surprised also to see that this PC didn't burn before... Be sure about that it is always a choc when the owners of the PCs/gaming consoles I'm cleaning are watching the videos 😅
Thanks for your comment @abysspegasusgaming I hope that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
at 10:05 you all see how much liquid come's out of those air can's. that's how people kill hard ware. always use them level. en and dry with hot air .
Yeah, fortunately, nothing bad happened, but I was a bit afraid when I saw this during the cleaning session. When doing the video I'm so focused on the camera position etc... I'm not 100% focused on the cleaning part. But yeah, I should find something else than theses air compressed cans.
Thanks for your comment @idelstream2941 I hope that you enjoyed watching this video even with that ❤️
Very nice job !
A small error in the CPU fan position.
Hot air is sent to the graphics card 😢
Yeah I agree about that. In fact I was so focused on make the video, I just did put back the fan were it was before I took appart this PC. That's not the 1st time I receive comments about the airflow. I will definitally improve that part on my next videos.
Thanks for your honest comment @hamasakiushimawa2988 , glad to know you enjoyed watching this video even with that ❤️
fans and heatsinks go right in soapy warm water, No harm done, done many times.
Yeah I know this fans and globally all the electronic components can be watched with soap and water. But I'm not a fan of it. Many people who are watching my videos do the same cleaning method to clean their own computers/gaming consoles. We have to be sure everything is 100% dry and be sure there is no residue on the electronic components. So that's why I never wash them in water directly. But I can't say that I will never do in a video in the futur. I will maybe add a disclaimer. Time will answer.
Thanks for your comment @steelkane327 I hope that you enjoyed watching this video ❤️
Excellent travail.
which screwdriver are you using? it looks like different than before
Yey I received this @WeraToolRebels tool as a birthday present! I really enjoy using it. It is that one th-cam.com/video/eiJvi7raCG4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pY537hRgRJY6XOR3

Amazing video!
Brazil is here. 😎🇧🇷
Glad to know you enjoyed watching this video @luanscruz7943
Hi to all Brazilian people! 🇫🇷❤️🇧🇷
I fixed one like this years ago. Lady was a wonderfully sweet hair dresser. Her and her clients chain smoked around the computer. She had small animals as well. The two synergized and completely filled her heatsink. I'm talking the fur-tar-heatsink meatball of doom. On top of that it was a Pentium 4
I told her I would see what I could do, but I couldn't make promises. So the heatsink ended up blasted with a high pressure hose outside. The water ran off black. I discharged everything, pulled the 3v battery and power supply. Every surface had to be soaked in chemicals, bathed in water, then again in alcohol. I managed to get it back to near factory condition and she had it for years after that
Don't smoke near electronics, people!
Nice story! thanks for sharing it, it will be a bit more difficult to people saying that this video is fake because of this "impossible orange dust" 😅
Awesome, you should do some longer vids for sure!
Thank you very much @jeremiah3365 , really appreciate ❤️❤️

WOW ! never throw away you're dusty ( not dirty ) PC because once just cleaned, it will run again
Dope cleaning vid bro
Thanks a lot for your comment @LinuxHacker101 Glad to know you enjoyed this vid ❤️❤️
In the army 😄
