- In the today episode, I’m cleaning one of the 6 computers I recently got. It is pretty nice to remember that my 1st ever video uploaded was with almost the same computer. Awesome to see the improvements I made on the videos after 5 monts on TH-cam. Not perfect yet, but I’m still working on it 😊

Another awesome video! Great work! I actually got an HP like this a few weeks ago, and when I opened it up, it was like nothing I had ever seen. It was FULL of dust, like yours. I guess it is just because of the fans’ positions and not great air flow. Oh, I don’t know if this would be easy for you, but I think it would be pretty interesting to see the CPU/GPU temp before and after cleaning. Also the noise level. Either way, keep up with the great content!

The first video I uploaded on the channel was with the same chassis. The dust was at the exact same places. So I guess you are pretty right.

This is one thing I think about during every video edit. Trying to find the right balance between dynamic and boring. You are the 1st person who tell me that but I can pretty easily guess that you are not the only one who are thinking this.
I will ask what people think about in the community tab and try to make it smoother in the next vid.

I love videos of cleaning and enjoy the most when I feel like im there watching the process with as little cuts as possible, though I see this could be pretty boring to some. Well, I think it's important to read all the suggestions carefully because there are lot of good ideas. I want to make the videos as good as possible and just started TH-cam 4 months ago so ... 😅
I already did lot of improvements after getting some comments on the same topic. I can't make all of them real, and have to also find "my way" but yeah, still have to improve lot of things, and have to decide if I want or not some them.

I tend to agree. It's still an amazing edit, but it strays from the ASMR thing into more of just a cool edit about cleaning a PC. (those PC case sliding sounds on the desk were on point though) ♥️♥️

French Satisfactory, I appreciate that you take the time to clean these systems so thoroughly. With that said a word to the wise when removing thermal paste, use plastic spudger to remove it otherwise you are creating scratches that do not allow the thermal paste to effectively do its job.
mmmh true about the scratches. You are not the 1st person who are telling me this, but didn't think about plastic spudger. I add your comment on my improvement list and go to amazon to buy one. ✌️

Depends on the surface really like CPU ihs it's not really a problem as long as it's smooth alot of overclockers lap there ihs for better contact now if it was a direct die like the old athlons or a chipset die I could see an issue
I like the HP's they give all the extra bolts you need for mounting

I found mine for a dollar and it didnt come with a hdd its actually a dc7900 sorry i got the models mixed up but the 7800 looks the same as this! It came with a nvidia quadro graphics card with 8 gb of ram but xp 32 but only recigonizes half so i took half out and i spent a hour taking everything apart and cleaning it installing thermal paste and such and i installed xp so i can use it as a retro gaming pc!

It is an old video, so the video editing, the sound and the transitions are not as nice as more recent videos, but you should also smell something pretty well 😂

You are not the 1st one who is asking me to make the end of the video longer with testing. I'm not sure about that to be honest, not sure it really fit with the rest of the video. BUT, I was pretty sure people was interested of the before/after pictures, and when I check the watch time timeline, people doesn't really care about them, and prefer to watch the running test, which I was not sure about 😂

About the laptop, I will do, but still need to improve some things before with computer I'm used to catch in video.

I used to add them earlier in the videos, but people didn't watch them and left the video. I wanted to keep them, so I moved them to the very end and shortened them 😅

Another old PC gets the cleaning it deserves. A bit more RAM, a nice Linux installation, and it can serve someone very nicely. I'm no fan of non-standard motherboard and case layouts, but HP did a good job with making this easy to disassemble and work on.

Yey, I already changed the audio cable, turned off wifi and bluetooth on all equipments around... it is better, but still have an issue with this. Hope I can fix that soon 🤞

Good question, and hard to answer. For the moment I try to stay focus on the videos improvements I still want to make done. core2 duo is a nice cpu with 32gb of ddr3 ram it would be really good
I guess it depends of what the mother board can offer. Can't imagine using it for gaming, but I could put some more ram and give it to somebody who need it.

In fact, there was only 3 screws before I unmount the PSU 10:54
But I should buy some screws to fix that when there is some missing. I add this in my improvement list.

You really got to stop using metal tools on the surfaces of heat sinks, use plastic tools to remove old thermal paste and adhesive you don't want to gouge the surfaces anymore than they already are they need to be mirror finish, for the best thermal contact possible even with these older components

The spray I'm using during the video is Compressed Air Dusters. Just to remove the dust. Not sure the spray you are talking about should be used the same way 😅

Which Cleaner and thermal Paste Did you use to Clean Motherboard and for processor?
Hi Muhammad, i am just using a compressed air can to remove the dust, and isopropyl alcohol to clean the processor. I used plenty Thermal past, sorry, but I don't remember which one I used with this PC 😅

i don’t charge anything 😅 I just get these PCs for the videos from Family, friends, friends of friends, or other sources. I usually say in the video description where come from the PC i’m cleaning.

Yes you can use plenty oils, I am using sewing machine oil .
