I had a turbo problem for over a year already. I changed the turbo year ago and since the. I had to disconect vacuum from valve to have any power on engine. It was going to limp mode. I checked the vacuum control valve, intercooler, boost pressure, map, maf, air leak, ecu remap, pipes, egr, vacuum leak. Basically everything. Finally i decided that when the mechanic installed the turbo they fu**ed up the wastegate valve. Today i removed the turbo adjusted it by your instructions and my turbo is back... i just want to thank you man. This video made made a huge difference!!! E46 320d. M47n engine
Tnks for uploading this kind of videos!!! They are very helpful!! Can u demonstrate us how the Holder HE551 V work, how to cleaned if it's possible, including possible damages, and when replaced!! I have cummins isx 2005 year manftr CM870 (EGR only) Tnks!!
set it at 3 to 18inHg but now Inpa shows about half of desired charge air pressure. It runs well but lacks torque, any suggestions to get the pressure up to desired?
mine opens all the way soon as turbo engages !!?!?!?!?! anyone have an idea of what could be wrong with it ? car feels like if it had a freaking nitrous !?!?!?! not to mention how much my clutch suffers
Hi I'm having trouble calibrating the actuator arm on a Garrett GT2052V I'm using a Mityvac like yours and I adjust it to about 15 but the arm becomes very hard and it won't go up or down when I pull the vacuum hose off at idle. I also took it for a drive with the actuator adjusted at 15 and it had no power. BTW this turbo is on a Nissan ZD30DI diesel engine on a Nissan Patrol in Colombia south America. Any tips please Thank you
@@nathanielmoyer1464 I will go through everything because one day it boosts at 2400rpm and other day is very slow and boosts at 3200rpm. Sometimes it doesn't go Into limp mode on motorway at all. Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it 👍🏻
@@MartinTeerly if it’s over boosting most the time it means the actuator is not adjusted right but sometimes could be the n75 valve is bad because it could just be stuck open.
I'm having issues with limp mode. I replaced all the vacuum lines, checked the check valve, switched the N75 and N18, tested the actuator and it has smooth movement, begins moving at about 3" hg and stops moving around 13-15" hg. It is only occasional when really pushing he car or coming off the throttle when the car is in 4th gear, and then it downshifts and spikes from throttle input. Do i not have enough movement? Thanks for any assistance!!
Please post all questions or comments on my diesel forum at www.myturbodiesel.com , thank you. I have a limp mode checklist and there are many more diesel fans who can see and answer your questions.
Hi I replaced my turbo a year ago and it was fine untill a few weeks back it started to do something wierd what happens is I floor it and the turbo kicks in fine but then I loose boost for a few hundred revs then turbo comes back in I tested vacuum and actuator and it's all fine no fault codes on car at all and doesn't go into limp mode any ideas?
Test that the correct fuel pressure and vaccum is coming from the tandem pump. I can't remember what the values are meant to be unfortunately. Has your tandem pump ever been repaired or replaced? How many miles and how old is your car? What's the engine code etc...
Good day. I had my turbo geometry cleaned because of limp mode and stuck actuator rod a few days ago. Afterwards, during the test drive with VAG-Com, I was told that my turbo should start working a little bit faster than it does now (it starts about 2K RPM), so the problem might be with the actuator. Do you have any suggestions?

Ok now we need a video on a electronic hella actuator
Excellent video! Perfectly clear explanation.
Great video, thank you
Another good video Chitty, the forum is now crap since you sold it a few years ago, there is no TDI Wiki from your links
Hello, the litlescrew on the vnt actuator. How many turns is needed for adjust perfectly
Excellent demonstration. Thanks
Thanks man, this is awesome!

Hi... can't seem to find the Borg warner demonstration

Good clear info
Thanks!
Super thank you

How to add more boost to VNT turbocharger with the electric actuator like on the hilux 2KD-FTV engine?

Hi what pressure should a diesel turbo be putting out the pipe into a actuator
my Nissan terrano ZD30 engine has similar turbo system
I'm getting P0234 and limp mode. What causes this?
Can i get more performance by add boost presure
My Golf is a Mk5 2.0 TDI 16V with a BKD engine and it has a Garret Turbo. Does it have the wrong turbo on it? Is it meant to have a Borg Warner?
so the stop should be at .61bar?
Hi
I want to ask you about the vacum out. When i shut down the engine that think make noise. Any idea?
7:18 What happens if it doesn't touch the stop screw at 18 inches of mercury?
you will never reach desired max boost pressure, as the vacuum in most tdis is at most 18-20hgin
MK4 2004's have this not just MK5!
He said mk5s have Borg Warner you donut 🤣
On motorway in 5th gear under 50mph I put foot down and after about 5 seconds I get limp mode
My actuator is new
If your mass airflow sensors is bad, any of your vacuum lines are cracked or if your n75 valve is bad, that would cause that issues
I'd also double check if all over your hoses are connected like your intercooler and intake hoses
