I've never heard of that sliding VGT you mentioned for heavy duty trucks and buses. That seemed really interesting.

Holy shit your videos are so informative and high quality, man. I just cane here from your video on twin scrolls. Informative enough to be compared to a lot of the bigger channels, but even better lol. I’m going to either turbo or supercharge my motorcycle lmao, so that’s why I’m here.

I really appreciate the kind words man, glad you feel that way about them! Being a bit of a perfectionist with my work pays off I guess haha. Anyways, goodluck with modding your motorcycle! Not too experienced in bikes but what model is it?

@@JCMediaYT It’s an Indian Scout Twenty! It’s a little cruiser/sportster bike. It’s not got bad power at all for a cruiser but… turbo. First I’m probably just gonna start with putting better pipes on it, a fuel management system, intake, and a tune for now. But eventually I’m planning on either doing a cent. supercharger or a turbo.
I like the idea of a supercharger better for a motorcycle since I don’t have to worry about turbo lag and I can get a smooth power band from the start, but the way my bike’s set up there might not even be a place for a supercharger since the timing chains seem to be well hidden. :\
I’ll just have to maybe open it up and see, but I’m not sure at this point

@@hectichive889 oh wow that's cool, look forward to how it turns out man! in terms of superchargers I have seen an AMR500 being used a lot, and it's pretty cheap too, but yeah it might be an issue if the timing chain is hard to reach

So I was watching a video about a concept of turbocharger technology and it was about a turbo called a variable twin scroll turbocharger that was introduced back at the 2015 SEMA Auto show and what it is its pretty much a combination of a twin scroll turbocharger with a variable geometry turbocharger and it supposed to give you the best of both worlds and I thought it was pretty interesting to share this 🤔🙃

In still position of the vanescontrolled by vacuum actuator (engine not runing), are they in opened position (for turbo stopping) or in closed position (for turbo spooling)? And can vacuum actuator be replaced with actuator for wastegate (controlling with pressure)?

I'm not sure when it's not running but they can definitely be replaced with an actuator, maybe so it can be electronically controlled from the ECU whenever

It's easier to have a vacuum actuator control the vanes... It's adjustable by changing the length. An ecu controlled actuator will be more precise but less adjustable... I'm running mechanical everything and prefer vacuum...

Hate Dodges? You missed the other early VNT cars.
