It's time for an absolutely wild Audi head-to-head!
Mat's lining up in an Audi RS e-tron GT, and he's going up against the Audi RS Q e-tron Dakar Rallycar (I know, we didn't think we'd end up writing those words either...)
So let's take a look at the stats. Starting with the RS e-tron GT, it's powered by two electric motors which can deliver646hp and 830Nm of torque. It's equipped with a 93kWh battery and tips the scales at 2,276kg. In terms of price, a new one of these will set you back around £115,000.
And then we have the rally car! It's got a carbon fibre body, along with two motors taken from a Formula e car! So it must be pretty powerful, right? Well, these cars have a limited power output, so it only produces 380hp! (At least, for now...) It's also equipped with a small motor at the back to help regen power into the battery, so as a result, its weight is pretty similar to the e-tron GT - around 2,200kg.
However, it's a bit more valuable than the e-tron GT, with a cost of around £2,000,000!!

Electric cars are honestly quite boring to watch drag race, because you can just look at the Power and weight of the car and you basically know who the winner is. where a car with a combustion engine can vary a lot because of the torque curves RPM etc.

I... would personally go right ahead and shortlist it, it's a really fun car, there's a few like it at this price range, and there's some really good features for practicality.

It’s actually one of the best hybrid powertrains possible. You have electric engines with a generator. The opel ampera/Chevrolet volt works in similar ways. You get the range of a combustion engine and up to 60km on pure ev. No need to charge it if you don’t want to
Kind of but after all still more efficient than traditional propulsion with ICE. Since the engine is always running at optimal RPMs
Maybe we could just ruin 100 hectares of farmland to build a solar farm? And just plug it in like an 80s rc car?

To, Mat and the team at Carwow, you do such amazing and unexpected drag races such as ones like these and You should be applauded for that👏. Keep doing drag races in this format, I really do like it and I bet others do as well. Quick question though, about some your youtube shorts, I really like them (some are really funny) however, when I compare them to your normal videos, some have really low view count i.e. (150,000) which makes me feel bad inside because you deserve way more. I am wondering if you are able to produce more shorts that can tease us to some really cool videos coming in the near future (like the Mercedes EQXX) or even ones of previous drag races that were posted many years ago compared to ones that were posted a few weeks ago. Or could you be able to post more normal videos like you use to several months ago. But what can I say, one day a short could have very low views and then next day be over a million. Also, I know this can cost lots of money but could you please use more drone footage as well as speed traps at the quarter mile just to spice these drag race videos even more. This is just some personal feedback I wanted to give to this channel and you can decide to take it or not. Never the less you guys do very detailed and practical reviews and very cool drag races that keep on amazing us week by week. I also love these stat comparisons and the shapes (1:36), keep it up!! I really want you to hit 10 millions subscribes because you really deserve it. Thank you
Their short videos are usually clips of videos already uploaded so they don't really mind having less views on them. 150k views is still a LOT if you think about it
And also they do shady click bait shit with their polls. So you can unsub and still get their videos recommended cause of how much shit on cars I watch.

Hardly anything to be honest, based on my experience from driving a Tesla it might go up to like 500 Wh/km from 150 Wh/km normal driving.
Big Teslas use about 2% per pass
