We’ve got our hands on a collection of Nissan Patrols, each with a different level of tune, and we’re about to put them head-to-head against each other over the 1/4-mile to see just how much their performance varies!
We’re kicking things off with a standard Nissan Patrol, with a 4.8-litre straight-six that can put down 280hp and 420Nm of torque. We’ve then got a Patrol with the same engine with a turbo added, with the power output subsequently upped to 380hp and 580Nm of torque.
But that’s not all! We’ve then got another Patrol that has had an even more severe tune, and the power output has been increased to an incredible 1,200hp and 1,600Nm!
But that’s nothing compared to the most powerful Patrol we’ve got our hands on - it’s a Patrol that comes with the chassis of an R35 Nissan GT-R! As a result, it comes with the same 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that has had some serious mods done to it, and it now creates an eye-watering 3,000hp and 3,500Nm of torque!!
Oh, and of course, we had to find some suitable competition for these beasts, so we’ve thrown a Ferrari SF90 into the mix, too…

I remember this car from The Grand Tour. Hammond raced against it a Porshe 918. At the time the car had 1900hp. Looks like they did some serious work on it since then

Liking the video right after Saheed's comment about Mat "becoming a local" after hitting the rev limiter. And even without watching it to the end, I can say this video does really take you there, to the long desert drag strip near/at Abu Dhabi, atmospheric.

Crazy cars. That last all wheel drive with the GTR V6 in it was insanely quick. I can’t believe he’s running that with no filtration over those turbos in that kind of surroundings of nothing but sand dunes being ingested. I’m sure the engine appreciates the grit along with the turbos.

On the last challenge, I didn't realize what you meant by a "Rolling Race" until I watched the video. I actually prefer a rolling start race. I realize that going from a stopped position in a race might be a preferred measure for the audience and racers, but I preferred watching the rolling start.
Can't wait to see the round 2 with this beast.
Beside, one thing I'm always amazed when watch your videos, is how bad you are at driving manual cars ^^

The 3 mile strech of road for racing, testing your car, dragy runs is amazing. That would never happen in America but its an awesome idea that i bet would significantly lower speeding and street racing on public roads.

When the 3000HP Patrol raced with Porsche 918, it only had 1900HP, and it was insanely quick and fast, now it has 3000HP, it's even brutal, it passed the SF90 like it was standing. we hope to see it in the future for a proper drag race :)

Please make sure to test cars at their full potential such as testing the SF90 in Qualify mode to get the full 968HP instead of being limited to around 800 in performance mode.
