Dark Knight Rises is one of the best cinematographic pieces to me along with TDK. It just LOOKS grimy and rough to go along with Bane’s character. Nolan is really a legend.
Personally, I have to say that what doesn't make sense about Batman making it back to Gotham in this movie is that he's broke. When he came back in Begins, I called Alfred who picked him up. I guess it's believable that he had a nest egg somewhere. If so, they did a great job of hiding it
the irony of "The Dark Knight" vs "Joker": The Dark Knight: Joker tries to make Gotham as ugly as him. Joker: Gotham succeeds in making Joker as ugly as them.
I grew up in Pittsburgh and was excited to see my city in a Batman movie of this scale. We had midnight showing, 3am showing and 6am showing. Gosh, I miss those days
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ oh snap y’all replied awesome! A big fan of y’all‘s podcast I only just started listening to it and I’m already A dozen episodes in and I love every single one of them keep up the great work my friends👍🏾
It’s hard too choose, the 3 movies are absoloute masterpieces but i choose batman begins because it’s a great introduction to the character and the story behind batman is incredible, i absolutely love cillian murphy and liam neeson in this movie. An absolute masterpiece
It’s hard to pick out which dark knight film is my fav. All of the films have a great script and very glorious shots, but in the end I think it comes down to which film has that vibe of remembrance and call backs. Yes batman begins is a terrifically shot and written film but it is always left out of the picture sometimes. The dark knight is one of the greatest films as you said and it is such an epic sequel to batman begins, not just because of the role of joker but because it’s aesthetic of a film. Whenever people think batman they think The dark knight. The dark knight rises is a masterpiece conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s dark knight saga. The dark knight rises I think is not heavily forgotten about but I think heavily criticized for the way it is. But when looking at dark knight rises as a conclusion to batman it is just a masterpiece with showing the end of batman and just the beginning of Bruce Wayne’s new life. When it comes down to it I think The Dark Knight is probably my fav. I just think that it has one of the greatest opening scenes that introduces the villain and one of the greatest storyline/script. Without a doubt The Dark Knight is my favorite
Without a doubt The Dark Knight is not only the best in the trilogy, I also believe it is Nolan’s magnum opus. I was a kid when these movies came out and it really established my love for comic book characters and mostly of all, cinema.
Gotta say I think Dark Knight is the best one, but not because of Bale. I think that Heath Ledger's joker was a perfect version of the joker, and when Harvey dent is involved and you think that "oh he's probably going to be a villain in the next movie if they make one" but turns out he becomes involved near the 3rd act of the movie. Just an amazing movie aswell.
So Batman the unmovable object and Harvey Dent (Two Face) was the unstoppable force. In the end, they kill each other. Dent dies and Batman is no longer the symbol of hope. I’ve never thought that way.
I'm certainly in love with all the tree movies but I'll have to go with the most popular opinion, my favorite is The dark night rises. We were blessed with great performances of our favorite actors, Good luck to everyone 🖤 🦇 🖤
I can say he has a point to a very small limited perspective in fact I believe the Batman with Robert Pattinson focuses so much more on the comic books than any of Chris Nolan's films Batman was a detective not a superhero
The Dark Knight is the best movie ever made in my opinion. The way they portray Batman truly as a forceful shadow is so interesting from a comic book standpoint and its such a real version of batman going through real issues
My Favorite is Batman Begins. The best origin story for Batman and I think Liam Neeson’s Ra’s Al Ghul is just as iconic as Heath Ledger’s Joker and Tom Hardy’s Bane.
I completely agree! The Dark Knight Rises is so underrated! I think it got hate because the Dark Knight was so good and people obviously wanted the Joker to return. Fantastic episode by the way - I loved the Batman voices :)
Nolan is my favorite current director. It can be topped as a trilogy. It never was the best trilogy. For me it ranks 3rd behind Star Wars and LOTR. And I'm a guy who LOVES TDKR almost as much as TDK. I even think it can be topped as a Batman trilogy. The first half of The Batman is the best BATMAN movie ever. Even though the second half lets it down the existence of that first half proves it is possible.
I would LOVE for the Kingdom Come DC Graphic novel to transition to the big screen, AMBITIOUS?..Yes, can it be done?..Yes..any thoughts who could bring this to life?
You aren’t completely saying this but partially..:the logic of Batman going into exile because of Rachel doesn’t make sense to me. She dies in TDK and Batman is proactive from then until the movie ends which is around 35-40 minutes of movie time…possibly more
Dark knight, one of my favorite movies with a great cast and fantastic performances by Heath and Bale will go down as one of if not the best comic book movies of all time.
Havent watched this triology since i was like 10 for the release of dark knight rises Rewatched and realized how amazing this series really is and how much you miss or dont understand until you get older
I do like the tactical version of alfred in the modern comics. But Micheal cain is go great in these movies. And Gary oldman is fantastic too. These movies are masterpieces and dark knight rises is underrated yea there is some corny stuff in it but it works so well as a final chapter
Is there any question that The Dark Knight is the best out of all of them? It's easily my favourite but my favourite scenes of the entire trilogy is in The Dark Knight Rises where Bruce climbs out of the Pit and when he get's the Nuke out of the City and one of the kids yells out: "No... Thats Batman!!!"
Can always count on you guys to motivate me to re-watch movies I've watched 100 times 🙌🏽🔥 "The Dark Knight is the best super hero movie of all time" 100% Fact Ps. I always thought if Heath Ledger was still alive they would've used him in the "court" scenes instead of scarecrow in The Dark Knight Rises 🤔
I adore all of the three movies, It's hard to choose a favorite between them because they have different themes and they do complete each others perfectly! For me this is the best trilogy ever made!
I also don't think that rises is that hated it's IMDB score is very good! There are just some people who like to complain about it but the majority loved it
Thank you for these podcasts! As a movie guy I appreciate all that you guys do and I have listened to so many of your episodes. Can you guys do a top 100 horror list pod ?
This was the ultimate realization of the superhero movie. Instead of trying to compete with this trilogy, the subsequent ones tend to just be relatively silly Power Rangers stories with big budgets.
Great reviews 👍 I rate it Dark Knight, Rises and Beyond in that order. And I did love The Batman. After 14 yrs and going back to Bales portrayal of Batman, I have to put Pattersons Batman above but Bales Bruce Wayne is better. Best Bruce Wayne goes to Affleck (feels more like Bruce from the Animated series)
Great episode. The dark knight is defiantly in my top five. The only thing that kinda bugs me about dark knight rises is how he got away from the bomb at the end. I get he fixed the auto pilot but still they show him flying it for quite awhile.
Thanks Taylor. Like we talked about with how he got back to Gotham. It's Batman! he escaped at some point after pulling up over the building. Don't think about it too much
Batman dark night for sure that interrogation seen alone could make me love Batman but then I also get a whole movie with him and the joker u just can’t go wrong
