    We're at Cummins Ferry right now, we stayed for the month. Definately one of the best places we've stayed. Beautiful area with lot's of distilleries and breweries within an hour drive. The campgroud sit in a holler and as you mention it is significantly lower than the surounding area, we have a Newmar Dutchstar DP, the exhast brake is your friend when coming into the campground. We have Starlink, so internet isn't an issue. We tried the campgound WiFi, but does bog down on the weekends. Probably the only negative we've found is the power can be an issue when people start arriving on Friday. There is a significant voltage drop that drives our (and others) EMS crazy and shuts down the shore power, it stabilizes after a couple of hours.. It's been every Friday like clockwork...Otherwise this is our favorite so far.

    This campground was up for sale a few years ago. I remember watching a few videos from the realty company and thinking this would be a good RV park to buy and the price seemed very reasonable.

    In your reviews you should add if they have sites for tent camping also. Some people still do that!

      We have mentioned that in some of them. We’ll add that to the list. Since we’re an RV channel, most people are interested in the RV info but thanks for the feedback!

    Great review! We stayed at Cummins Ferry several years ago, and agree with almost everything said here. We found no issues leveling. One thing: you may need to close your shades at night, there were large lights that stayed on all night shining right in our windows. Great campground.

    From the time of my viewing, your review was about 9 mos ago. Bummed it sounds like we won't have cell service, which means we probably won't be able to use our T-mobile internet tower that we travel with. Does anyone know if the tower worked while staying here? We carry Starlink for backup internet but don't want to unpause it and pay $150. for the month just so we can have good internet for one week here. 😏 We have reservations for a week stay arriving mid June '24 with a Newmar 2021 44' Dutch Star pulling our Grand Cherokee Jeep so the curves, narrow entry and inclines people speak of have us a bit concerned!

    This is the campground I wanted to buy. It’s changed somewhat with additional facilities and I noticed some of the facilities have gone. What a small world it is. I’ve spoken to both of the owners several times as this has a lot of room for further development down the road with a lot more land. In my opinion it was an incredible buy as the original sale collapsed at the last minute. I’m so happy for the people who bought it though as they are such decent people who really care about their business. I’m definitely coming over soon as I have business with the owners (hopefully) and they really know the surrounding areas and things to do.
    I’m so happy that you stayed and got to see it working. It’s something to keep an eye on believe me.
    My love and respect to the owners and of course to you for your video and thoughts 😊

I’ve I had known I would have come down to meet you ! How long are there ? If I missed y’all, I’ll be spending the January and February in Tampa and I hope to catch up to you at the rv show. See you on the road !

    Wow what a beautiful and nice park. I love it! Including the campsites. I like campground views. Where you can look at the camp sites to see if you like it. That’s pretty nice. I like that the campers were nice and so were the staff. And the bathrooms were clean that is plus and they asked if you needed help with unhooking your car. It doesn’t get any better than that. That’s well worth the $77.00. Thank you Izzy, MJ and Jason!

    Less than a year ago I watched a video on this campground and it was for sale . The campground was a tad bit run down but if I remember right the price was very reasonable. A couple of days later I went to the real estate site and it was already pending . I believe the person showing it ended up buying it ( I dont blame him ) and turning into a fabulously campground . What you see is only a small part of the over all site . I'm so glad that he took it over and made it into a first class campground!!!

    My son and I were just in the Lexington area in early August. I called the Cummins Ferry RV park 3 times. We were unexpectedly delayed in the area and ended up staying in Lexington 4 days. Each time I called over 2 days, i got a very cute message, but no person and no return call. We ended up at Kentucky Horse Park and would highly recommend it. The Cummins Ferry park looks lovely online, but it seems you must book in advance to actually talk with a person, and hopefully they are truly servicing people already there, not just not answering the phone. Maybe they really do make s'mores nonstop, as they say in their cute voice mail message. Perhaps the lack of answering the phone is why it is hidden?

    Saw your review of Cummins Ferry RV Park. Look into Steamboat Campground in Jenison, MI, near Grand Rapids, along Grand River. Paddle boat cruse docked here. Near Lake Michigan, many small beach towns nearby to explore.

    We were at Cummins Ferry last year and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful campground. Admittedly, the entrance was a bit scary for the navigator (me) at first with our 42’ MH and connected toad. T-Mobile also did not work.
    With the helpful staff and amenities/activities, this is an excellent campground.
    Great job on your review!

    Hi guys I love Campground Reviews although I am not a RVer yet …. I was wondering if you could add to your review if a park offers some kind of shuttle or bus that can take you into town for shopping or site seeing …if someone doesn’t have a tow car

    • @EndlessRVing
      @EndlessRVing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we usually do if they offer a shuttle

  • @rschmidt320
    @rschmidt320 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Yep, having Jason in there is cool. Quick question: When you check into these campgrounds, do inquire about local pest to be aware of for pet/child safety and keeping your RV pest free. For example, fire ants. The big dirt mounds they create for nest can look like a good plaything for a child or dog, and if they get in you RV...ouch. More people die in the U.S. from fire ants yearly than from sharks. I've seen some folks spreading Sevin dust around their wheels and jack stands to keep out bugs. Just curious how you deal with that.
