What Cracker Barrel were you at. East Greenbush Exit 9 on Rt. 4 and I-90?? If so you were like 8 miles from me. Sorry for your issues but glad it wasn't to serious.
You're the only rv subscription we have that has asked us to mention our own travel plans. How cool!!! We are currently in NC at Raleigh Oaks RV Park. Just drove about 300 miles to get here (from Fountain Inn, SC). In mid September we're going to Deep Valley Cmpgrnd in Altoona, TN, to research my wife's family history. Thanks for asking. Happy travels all!
Love watching you guys. Rving is a gift that keeps giving, that's what you need to understand about it. Our travels this year took us from Hot Springs Arkansas to Pennsylvania, DC and back. It was a great trip other than the cracked windshield (thanks tennessee). And the motorcoach vehicle ac quit working by the time we got back and a check engine light came on as well. But we had a great trip overall. Can't wait for my wife to retire so we can do a Northeast coast trip and northeast interior trip. Keep up the good videos ❤you guys.
Great video, love when Jason joins you. Sorry you had RV issues. You asked where are you! We are in Lake George NY. Next we head to Ausable Chasm in NY about an hour north of Lake George. If you have not been there it’s a must see. All 3 of you would love it!!!! We will be staying right there as they have their own campground right in Keeseville NY
Izzy & MJ, because of your positive reviews of Wholesale Warranties, we have purchased a warranty and roadside assistance plan for our 2022 motorhome. We told them we chose them because of you so hopefully they will count that as a referral for you.
If it anit breaking you anit RV'ing! We just got back for the NorCal Redwood Coast and enjoyed 60-70's temps! Road was so rough the one tail light fell out! Anyhow, we're in the 100's for the next two months so on RV'ing until late September. So having fun watching you guys.
That Dutch Star is really looking good at this point..again... I see that it looks like you have the Roadmaster end links. Remember when you had the knuckling sound a while back in the front end. It was the bolts on the sway bar end link. You have a 24K F53, I have a 18K F53 2013, the heavy duty sway bar uses the Ford end link , bolt hole was smaller so the 1/2 inch bolt will not go through it. Now the Roadmaster kit (for about a year and half ago ) comes with their end links and everything bolts up fine. It is odd the you lost both bots, maybe when Liquid Spring put the front end in (I thought you had front and rear done with them) they put something different than the self locking nuts that roadster give you in the kit.
We are headed tomorrow to Umbagog Lake State Park. Located in northern NH on the ME border. $35 per night, water and electric, dump station. First time there, but it looks like a beautiful lake.
Izzy and MJ You guys really take these problems not to heart and handle them well. I have to say I would be highly disappointed as to the many issues you have had to date. We purchased Plursure-Way B+ 23 feet long on a Ford E350 2014 and we owed for over 3 years , had no problems . Traveled 17K miles , and when we purchased it already had 16K. We sold the unit with 33k miles , the only item we replaced is one battery in the e350 , which after 5 years old not surprising because did we stored the rv out side in the winter months . It’s seems to me the Class A you have should not see so many issues , that’s just my take. I hope you are trouble free the rest of this year. Thanks for sharing and your video’s .
I assume you guys are full timing. How the issues don't work is when people are not full timing and have limited vacation time away from work. A 1 week or 2 week trip can really be messed up when destinations are scheduled and overnights are booked. It's why i went with a much less complicated C class for our family during our working years. And only now am considering a much more complex class A Gas or DP. Thanks for sharing and happy travels!
When I had my F53 chassis, all those bolts that are part of the sway bar system were torqued using red lock tite and they were checked every year at the beginning of the season. 65ft/lbs if I remember correctly
Heading to Utah from Washington state for 4 weeks end of September...One of our FAVORITE states to hike!!! ITS A BEAUTIFUL STATE! Passing through Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Oregon! When you guys do get there....be sure to visit Moab and hike the Corona Arch hike and Fisher Towers hike and if I didnt tell you before stay at Dead Horse state park...book 4 months in advance....DOG FRIENDLY! Then of course many many other places to see in Utah!!!
Absolute nightmare!!! I had the rear anti-sway snap in the Appalachian mountains!!! Needless to say, white knuckle'd it home & then Supersteer & Roadmaster got some of my $$$ after that!!! Lol
So sorry that you are having so much trouble. It’s making me scared to head out on our next trip that we are planing now. We have been fortunate so far but the RV gods are just waiting to surprise us I’m sure. Do we see a new RV in the near future? Hummmmmmmmm
How many problems have you had due to after market parts? Sometimes best to avoid these companies especially roadmaster. Know quite a few people who have a ton of issues with roadmaster products.
Our rear AC fan blade decided to rub against coil, shedding all the fins. Minimal damage to coil fins but might want to buy spare fan. Always good to have 2 AC units in the Summer.
I’m fairly new to your channel , I think my favorite thing about this family is the patriotic shirts and accessories you always wear . I love it 🇺🇸 ❤ from TX
It’s always great watching you guys and we agree “Rv ing is the gift that keeps on giving” Sending positive thoughts your way for safe and happy travels. History and outdoor travels rock!
Trying to understand how/why your bolts fell out. The only thing that makes sense is the bolts are to short. Go look at the new ones (supposedly same as old ones) Make shure there is about 3 threads sticking out of the top of the nut. The nut should have a locking devise built in and you need good thread protrusion to help it work. Let me know what you find.
Hi Izzy, MJ and Jason! So glad you all had a great time in Vermont, we loved Vermont when we went in 2017, got to get back up there. And I have to say that it seemed this time Izzy was way more enthusiastic about cleaning than food! Also, glad all worked out with the sway bar and AC and that the leak will also get fixed. Safe travels!
Your ideas are very interesting and looking into Snap Pads and heavy duty zip ties to fix issues including TORQUE WRENCH wheels and other delicate attachments.
Ace is the place for bolts. That is where I always go when I need different sizes. We love watching your videos. Happy trails from another Baystar owner.
It makes a case for not having slide-outs. If something happens to the power to retract them you’re stuck until it can be retracted. With the tioga my parents had any leaks were fixed with additional tightening or a second hose clamp. Sounds like a good product to keep the finish clean on everything.
Did the RoadMaster anti-sway bar hardware include lock nuts originally? To prevent this from happening again I would definitely use lock nuts and red Loctite to keep this hardware secure.
So happy Jason got to spend time with you guys. As they grow, less time as they get older. Bil and I will be traveling to closer to home this year since we just got back from NYC. That was a great trip. Now it will be to Arkansas to visit our daughter and grandbabies, then Texas to visit other family. Tampa in January for the show for sure.
My travels were put on hold due to health issues with my mom and her death. Staying close supporting my dad now. But family is important. Love watching y’all’s videos. Can’t wait for you to start west. My home state of Arkansas also known as “the natural state” offers many great state parks. Be sure to enjoy them.
Bennett Springs MO, Defeated creek camp ground at Carthage Tennessee, Rend lake gun creek in Southern Illinois and Roger's Arkansas, Osh Gosh Wi those are what we have Done
I personally love the slideout in my small travel trailer. But, when searching for my trailer if there were appliances in the slideout it was a no go. Having fridges, stoves and sinks in slideouts just makes no sense to me
Vermont has no amenities. Food is okay. Yes, there are honor systems in some places here in Slidell Louisiana. I am happy that you guys got to get up there before the floods. Sounds like a busy weekend there fixing items however haha. Oh, he gets more excited about the cleaning haha, but I i totally understand.
I can't believe both sides "fell out"!! In my 50 years of RVing that's a first! Hopefully you used loc-tight in your repair, and checked the saddles on the top of the bar. I just love NE. I have a brother that lives in NH and I've toured NE extensively by RV and Motorcycle. 8) If you get up high in ME you can fly along on a fire watch in a float plane. I'm also a pilot and we just loved that. I even buzzed a lake and got pic's of 'moose' and bear'!! Thanks guys, you make me really miss RVing! 8( --gary PS; All day rain? Poker game w/copious amounts of beer, burgers and beans! LOL 8) --gary
Enjoyed your video about Vermont. When you plan on going to Rhode Island check out Fisherman's Memorial Park which is near Pt Judith. You can take a day ride on the ferry to Block Island which is just down the road. Plan ahead as this park fills up quickly. (It's a state park)
Hello again Izzy,MJ and Jason. Great video. I also (I believe) have the same chassis on my 2007 35ft Itasca V-10. I will check the sway bars on mine. I am retired NYPD and looking forward to “meeting you on the road” but I would like to gear up with the snap pads and liquid spring. Just need some time to get it all done. Children and grandchildren always have something going on!
Hi Izzy and MJ and Jason! It was nice to see Jason! Oh no not 3 times but 4. Three strikes and you are out. Lol! What were the odds of all that happening? Glad you fixed it all temporarily. But glad you went and had fun too with cleaning and eating. I either eat first after cleaning. Of course you washed you car and Rv and then it rained. That’s what happens with me. Can’t wait to see more travel videos. Hopefully Nelli will be fine and no more issues. Lol! Safe travels! Love you all! ❤️❤️❤️
Great video learned cool things thanks so much. It was good to see Jason back in the video . He is such a great young man so nice always. God Bless and protect you all with love Jeff and Donna
I saw on your sticky map that you have not been in Michigan. You will like it! Also Maine and New Hampshire are great States . You will love the lobster roll in Maine😊
We camped at the beach the week of the 4th and are going again for Labor Day. It's only a 2.5 hour drive from our home in Florida. Hope to squeeze in a trip or 2 after Labor Day .
Site looks a bit tight, but you’ll have that…..just hate that you have to cook and play games next to the neighbor’s dump pipe…..looks like a great campground
I'm so sorry you guys are experiencing all the problems with the motor home. I know what a stressor it can create while you're trying to relax on vacation. I can also attest to the release product as well. The stuff is amazing
Really great video you guys, enjoy watching you camping and having fun! Izzy, you are always so calm, cool and collected no matter what happens! It's a fact, though, that you have to be handy when you own an RV. I've ordered from eTrailer before, they are a good outfit, you can find all sorts of trailering and RV related parts on their website and the folks there are very helpful. Our camping is temporarily on hold due to numerous ongoing projects with the sticks-and-bricks abode, but we have some trips planned soon. Prayers for the folks in NY, VT and NH who are experiencing torrential weather and flooding. Safe travels!
I must say I’m enjoying seeing Jason in the video. He is at such a cute age, I miss my boys being that age. My baby is turning 35 next month and my oldest 39 in October.
Having grown up in the Hudson Valley NY it’s always great to see the New England States. Lived many places over the years (job), Millville NJ, Florida (3X), Texas, Georgia and Kentucky was one. Curious where you’re headed in KY as we can give some pointers. Just sold the house in Fl, we’re traveling this summer, we’re in Indianapolis and headed to Elkhart today, Rv museum and a factory tour soon. We were out in Iowa this past week to see the Field of Dreams which was a bucket list. We’ll work our way to upstate NY before summer is out then back south somewhere. Love your videos you guys do a great job ! Oh yeah we did the Indianapolis Speedway yesterday. Follow my wife on Florida Cracker Chronicles to see pics.
Not quite understanding how your sway bar lost or broke the grade 8 bolts. Did someone work on them recently and forget to tighten them? In all my years of Rving, I have never heard of this happening. In fact, I have never heard of this at all, and I worked in the auto repair business for years. I am sure its possible, but I would want to know the cause.
We did fix the kitchen drain at home. Replaced the whole flexible hose after cutting PVC to get the flexible hose out ($42 fix) Then the next thing happened which we messaged you about lol.
Our latest issue with our Newmar (‘09 Mountain Aire) is our step. We were ready to leave the campsite when I opened the door about 6 inches and immediately closed it again because someone wanted to tell us goodbye. Well, that caused an instant issue with the steps. They now are not synced and won’t completely open or close 🙄 Haven’t been able to figure out the problem yet. #itsnotifbutwhen
Do not buy another production RV. You guys are really nice people I have been posting on here serval times buy you a used Prevost bus take your time and find one that has been loved and be done with all the problems. I went through 3 production coaches before I finally listened to people telling me what I should do, that had done the same. When I bought mine there was a Newmar King air just traded for a Prevost. How many 20 year old king Airs still sell for $450,000 (none) I just can’t tell people enough. The sweet spot for RVs was 2005 to 2012 after that is was get them out the door. And all the little gadgets they put there to lure you in will fail over and over. No motorized basement bay slides for me or push button doors just not going to last. Anyway enough of my rant just keep in in mind I am not a sales person just trying to spread what I have learned in 30 years of doing this.
Interesting, my Penguin A/C made a noise like it was coming from the squirrel cage but it was actually the compressor mount. I had to add some rubber hose to the tray the compressor mounts to get it to stop.

How do sway bar bolts snap off? You need to find out the issue before it happens again. My two cents.
Have the uncle Hershels breakfast. That will keep those bolts from snapping! Safe travels!

No homer system in Oklahoma have to put your name on the list. Sorry had to edit lol
Nice :)
Have no idea how it happened. But they were both gone.
Great video, terrible luck but Izzy made it look easy fixing the issues. Looks like an amazing trip to Vermont. Getting the map filled in !!
We did fix the kitchen drain at home. Replaced the whole flexible hose after cutting PVC to get the flexible hose out ($42 fix) Then the next thing happened which we messaged you about lol.
Do Release All Purpose Cleaner work on windshield and windows?
Yes! Works on everything. 👍
Thank you 🙏
Much like boats, rv's are a box you throw money in.
I 87 is a killer on suspensions.
I 80 from Indiana border to Joliet will just destroy a RV suspension too
Our latest issue with our Newmar (‘09 Mountain Aire) is our step.
I had to add some rubber hose to the tray the compressor mounts to get it to stop.
curious on how many miles you have on your RV?
About 26,000
